Jesus Christ Has Risen!

JESUS CHRIST HAS RISEN!

Then the disciples went back to their homes, but Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot... John 20:10-12

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen just as he said.†Matthew 28:5-6

Jesus said to her, “Mary.†She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!†(which means Teacher). Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’†John 20:16-17

Can you imagine the disciples watching Jesus Christ being crucified on Friday? The disciples had been with Jesus for such a special time and they did not yet understand how God was still going to use them. Never forget that each disciple had chosen to leave everything and follow Jesus when He called them.

The disciples walked back to their homes late Friday feeling defeated and hopeless. What were they to do now? Is that how you are feeling this Easter Sunday regarding your marriage which appears to you and everyone to be dead? What are you to do now? Your spouse has gone on with their life. They appear to be very happy and content in their new lifestyle of sin. May I remind you that your Sunday is coming, if only you will believe! Jesus Christ arose on the third day and revealed to Mary and the disciples that He truly was alive!

What powerful words! Today, around the world, people will be worshiping and praising the Lord, singing songs with words that mean so much to each of us personally such as: Christ the Lord is Risen Today, Worthy is the Lamb, Because He Lives, I Know That My Redeemer Lives, Christ Arose, The Old Rugged Cross, and the many new choruses and new songs and Easter pageants that have such powerful words.

You may have learned these songs a long time ago or recently. Bob and I always loved Christian music while we dated and throughout our married lives. In fact, I told Madison, one of my granddaughters, this week that her Grandpa took me to a concert in a large church who has a special singing artist on a Saturday night for our first date. Never forget all the special memories you have with your wife or husband, and keep praying for the Lord to remind your beloved spouse today of all your good memories. Remember, Bob said he never forgot me on any holiday.

Jesus Christ is alive. He arose. He defeated the enemy! Praise the Lord! Regardless of your personal circumstances today, may you keep your eyes on the Lord and praise His Holy Name for what He has done and will still do for you, your spouse, your children, family members, friends and for ALL sinners today and in the future.

Jesus Christ paid the price and shed His Blood for each of us to receive forgiveness of our sins and receive His redemption. Today you have a choice to serve your Lord and continue to pray for marriage restoration daily or give up on your husband or wife and on God to do what? Marry someone else? It will be a counterfeit. Seek the Lord this weekend, asking Him for His perfect will for you and your beloved spouse. Walk in faith, trusting and believing in God's resurrection power.

You have a choice if you choose to believe in what your Lord has spoken to your heart or believe in the world's way of marriage. I know marriage restoration is worth praying and fighting for. I know personally it was worth every tear to have my children and grandchildren know that marriage is for life. I choose to live and speak a legacy of the permanence of marriage. God created marriage and it is a covenant for life. We can seek our Lord to resolve all our marriage problems without divorce attacking couple after couple. I know that I divorced Bob and am here to tell you that a divorce paper can be turned into having a second marriage license. That will be your second wedding day that is so important to you both forever!

Jesus Christ's crucifixion and resurrection is for you and all sinners including your spouse and any other person who is involved in your spouse’s life. Jesus Christ does change people's lives like Saul becoming a Paul, every day. I pray that you hear and read testimonies of men and women who have made terrible mistakes in their lives and marriages, but God gets their attention and gives them another chance. Our Lord speaks to them, saves them and changes their lives completely. We, as believing Christians, must believe that forgiveness of sins and salvation is for today and for everyone! Our Lord God will speak to the lost and turn them from their sinful ways. Our Lord God is our Redeemer and Deliverer.

Let us pray that the Holy Spirit will move around the world to have a mighty harvest of souls this Resurrection Sunday. May the Lord touch the hardened, rebellious hearts who refuse to listen to their spouses or their children crying out, “Mommy, Daddy, come home! We miss you. We need you. We love you! Come home now!â€

Lord, may You touch each sinner this Easter Sunday as you did on the Damascus Road with Saul as You changed his life completely. Heal, resurrect and restore marriages around the world. Lord, breathe new life into dead marriages that have been considered hopeless for years. Resurrect them from the grave today. Lord, heal the bleeding, wounded, broken hearts as You are the Repairer of the Breach for all marriages. Lord, may You remove the blinders or lift off the scales on every prodigal whose eyes are blinded to the Lord’s Truth. Today Lord, may every prodigal see and hear Your Truth like never before by the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit. May every prodigal confess and repent and turn their hardened heart 180 degrees to a softened heart that is proclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord. For nothing is too hard for You! In Jesus Name, I pray. Amen.

Then came Sunday! God moved the mountain of circumstances! He defeated the enemy! May we always remember, regardless of how many Saturdays we may have, Sunday Is Coming! There will be a Victory Day in your marriage!

May this Resurrection Sunday be the day that you have resurrection of your dead marriage. What appears to be dead, will come back to life again! Jesus Christ is alive! He lives and He holds your future!

God bless,
