Jeremiah 17:7

We are so encouraged that you shared Jeremiah 17:7 with us, for it is a beautiful reminder of where true blessing is found. Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, whose confidence is in Yahweh. Jeremiah 17:7

We join you in holding fast to this truth together. In a world that urges us to trust in ourselves, in money, in people, or in circumstances, we are called to place our full confidence in the Lord. The next verse paints such a hopeful picture of what that trust produces, that he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:8 We want that kind of rooted, steady, fruitful life for you, and we know it only comes from abiding in Him.

We also want to gently share something dear to our hearts, since your post did not mention the name of Jesus. We have confidence in the Lord only because Jesus has made a way for us to come near to God. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 It is through faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection, that our trust is not misplaced but is anchored in the living God who hears us. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus as Savior and Lord, for He is our confidence.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we thank You for Your Word and for the promise that You bless those who trust in You. We ask that You would deepen our trust and increase our confidence in You alone. Help us to not lean on our own understanding but to trust in You with all our heart. Proverbs 3:5 We pray that You would keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in You, and help us to trust in Yahweh forever, for in Yah, Yahweh, is an everlasting Rock. Isaiah 26:3-4 Lead us to be like trees planted by Your living water, rooted in Christ, bearing fruit even in difficult seasons, and not fearing when trials come. Draw us closer to Jesus each day, for apart from Him we can do nothing, but in Him we have everything we need. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our confidence and our hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to dwell in Scripture, to pray, and to cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 May the Lord strengthen your faith as you keep your eyes on Him.

Thank you for sharing this verse with us. It is a steady, hopeful word to sit with, and we are grateful you brought it here.

What strikes us is how simple and personal it is. Trust is not just agreeing that God is there, but actually leaning on Him as the place we put our weight when things feel uncertain. That kind of confidence grows over time, in ordinary days as much as hard ones, as we learn again that He is faithful and present.

We think of blessing in that light not as just getting good things, but as God Himself placing value on you and drawing near to you as you draw near to Him. It is a reminder that you are seen and upheld, even when circumstances shift.

If this verse is on your heart right now, you might keep it close this week in a way that helps you return to it, maybe writing it on a card where you will see it or praying it back to the Lord in your own words when worry rises. And if there is someone you trust, sharing why this verse matters to you right now can make that trust more concrete.

Father, thank You for the one who shared this word. We ask You to deepen their confidence in You day by day, to make Your nearness real to them, and to give them peace as they trust You with what is ahead. Keep them close to You and guide their steps. In Jesus name, amen.

The word you have brought is a sure and precious truth, for blessed indeed is the one whose confidence is in the Lord. The prophet does not say blessed is the one who trusts in himself, or in man, or in circumstances, but blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.

This trusting is what we call faith, and faith is the eye which sees. Without it we are blind toward God and dead to spiritual things, but with it we cling to the Cross and know that all is safe. Faith looks to the Son of God pouring out His life and trusts Him, and then sins are gone in a moment. Without faith it is impossible to please God, for only by faith can we recognize Him, approach Him, hear Him and be delighted with His perfections.

You do well to lay hold upon this promise, for faith is not only a remedy when fear comes, but a prevention against fear. When David was afraid he trusted in God, but it is better still to trust in God first and then not be afraid at all. Throw out the anchor of faith now, before the storm rises. If the anchor is already out, you may rest in peace when trouble comes, for he who leans by faith on Christ rests where he never needs to be afraid. The mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but God shall not change and His purpose shall not cease to stand.

This faith must rest wholly upon Christ and His finished work, not upon yourself, your prayers or your works. It is not what you can do, but what Christ has done that must be the ground of your hope. The least faith in Jesus is the gift of God, and though it be but as a grain of mustard seed, it saves and it may increase exceedingly until it ripens into full assurance. Give yourself up unto God Most High, who performs all things for you, and you shall find Him faithful to keep you and to perfect His work in you.

May the Lord increase your faith and make your confidence firm in Him alone. May He give you to taste and see that the Lord is good, and to know present peace through our Lord Jesus Christ and rejoicing hope of the glory of God. I pray that you may be kept by His power, walking by faith and living near to Him, and that you may prove in every trial that blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

This promise from Jeremiah is a true anchor for the soul. To be blessed is not to have ease in every circumstance but to have your confidence rooted in the Lord and not in yourself or in what you can see.

Scripture calls us to hold fast that confidence and the rejoicing of our hope firm to the end, not shaken by trials, but standing in full assurance of faith. That assurance does not come from our own strength but from trusting His lovingkindness, believing as surely as if we saw with our eyes, and even more surely, because we trust not our senses but His Spirit and His faithful promises.

So I pray for you that the Lord will strengthen your heart to draw near to Him with a true heart and to keep trusting Him day by day. May He give you humility and steadfastness to do your part with diligence while casting all your care upon Him, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. May He keep you from being moved by fear or doubt and make your confidence in Him grow stronger until the end, for His glory and your peace. Amen.

The verse you shared from Jeremiah holds a deep and steady promise. To be blessed is not simply to have easy circumstances, but to have your trust and confidence anchored in the Lord Himself.

Scripture makes it clear that this kind of trust is what pleases God. Without faith it is impossible to please Him, and He delights when His children take Him at His word and rest their confidence in His promises. The opposite is also true. When we lean on our own understanding, or put our confidence in riches, in our own efforts, or in other people, we find anxiety and restlessness. You were made to trust the Lord with all your heart, and that trust brings rest.

That trust is not about trying to earn righteousness by what you do. From the beginning, like Abel, those who were accepted by God came by faith. God counts a person righteous because of faith in Jesus Christ. You are seen as righteous not because of your works or sacrifices, but because you are in Christ and His righteousness is credited to you. That is why you cannot boast in what you have done. At the same time, a living faith will show itself in your life. Paul teaches that we are saved by grace through faith alone, and James reminds us that genuine faith will be demonstrated by works that correspond to what we believe. Faith and works move together, like two oars in a boat, with faith producing the works that confirm it is alive.

Trusting the Lord also does not mean that every hardship will immediately disappear. Some who lived by faith died still trusting, not having seen every promise fulfilled in this life. Faith does not always bring instant triumph over every enemy or trial, but it will sustain you through whatever exigency you face. It is the quality of faith that endures, that keeps you steady in suffering as well as in victory. In fact it often takes greater faith to trust God in hardship than in seasons of ease.

That is why Scripture invites you to find rest in faith, not in your own striving. You can cast your burdens on the Lord, commit what you cannot control into His hands, and watch for what He will do, knowing He has promised to work for those who trust Him. When you bring your cares to Him in prayer, that prayer can move from petition to confidence and then to praise, as you put your trust in His word and are no longer afraid of what people or circumstances may do.

May the Lord strengthen you to live this way, to grow in grace and in knowing Jesus more deeply. May He help you to account Him faithful who has promised, to rest in the finished work of Christ on your behalf, and to walk in the confidence that the one who trusts in the Lord is truly blessed.

Father, I pray for the one who shared this verse, that You would deepen their trust in You. Help them to rest not in their own efforts but in Jesus Christ alone for righteousness and hope. Sustain them through every trial, teach them to cast every care on You, and fill their heart with confidence in Your word and Your faithfulness. In Jesus name, Amen.
