We are blessed by you sharing Jeremiah 17:7, Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, whose confidence is in Yahweh, and we join with you in holding fast to this promise.
This verse is such a beautiful contrast to what comes just before it. Jeremiah 17:5-6 warns that cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm, whose heart departs from Yahweh. But the one who trusts in the Lord is like a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought, neither will cease from yielding fruit as Jeremiah 17:8 tells us. We are reminded that true blessing, stability, and peace do not come from our own strength, from other people, or from circumstances, but from placing our complete confidence in the Lord alone.
We want to encourage you to continue to root yourself deeply in Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And Psalm 34:8 says Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. When we trust Him fully, we find that He is faithful to sustain us even in dry and difficult seasons.
We also want to gently remind you that our confidence and trust in the Lord is made possible only through Jesus Christ. It is through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other way to be saved and to truly know the blessing of trusting in God. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If we have not placed our faith in Jesus, trusting in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins as Romans 10:9 teaches, then we cannot yet know the fullness of this blessed trust. We encourage you to ensure your confidence is not just in God in a general sense, but in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He is the one who makes us right with God.

Father, we thank You for Your Word and for the promise that we are blessed when we trust in You and place our confidence in You. We pray that You would help us and our friend here to trust You more deeply each day, to not lean on our own understanding or on the strength of man, but to acknowledge You in all our ways. Draw us closer to Jesus, for we know it is only through His name that we can come before Your throne with confidence. Blessed indeed is the truth you have set before us, for the prophet speaks not of a fleeting happiness but of a settled blessedness which belongs to the man whose trust is in the Lord and whose hope the Lord is.
This trust of which Jeremiah speaks is that living faith without which it is impossible to please God. The things of God are spiritual and invisible, and faith is the eye which sees them. Without that eye we are blind and can have no fellowship with Him. To trust in the Lord is not a mere notion or a passing sentiment, it is to cling to Christ, to come to God by Him, to seek Him as a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. He who has no faith is as one dead toward God, but he that believes has life and peace through our Lord Jesus Christ.
You have chosen a sure confidence. Cursed is the man that trusts in man and makes flesh his arm, but blessed is he that leans wholly upon the Lord. Such a one does not trust in himself, nor in his own works or prayers, but in the blood and righteousness of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. When faith lays hold upon the cross it knows that all is safe, and though fear may arise, faith cries unto God Most High who performs all things for us.
May the Lord increase this faith in you. It is His gift, and He gives more grace. Though faith be at first as a grain of mustard seed, it is precious faith, and He will make it strong faith in a faithful God. He will bless you thoughtfully and with His whole heart and with His whole soul, for it is His delight to bless His people. And may you in return bless Him in whom you trust, not only with your lips but with a life that seeks to win hearts to Him and to stand for His truth.
We pray that the Lord will keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed upon Him, that you may know present peace through being justified by faith and rejoice in hope of the glory of God which is yet to be revealed. May He who has begun a good work in you perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, and may your confidence never be in anything less than His sure promise in Christ.

The verse you have shared is a sure foundation for the soul, for blessed indeed is the one whose trust and confidence are in the Lord and not in human strength or in himself.
To have confidence in the Lord means to trust His lovingkindness and to make everything depend upon Him, and yet also to do our own part with diligence. We are not to be idle and expect God to do all while we neglect what we ought to do, nor are we to trust only in our own efforts. We are to seek His help from above continually in prayer, and at the same time to walk in the way of virtue, persevering in faith and obedience until our latest breath.
Scripture encourages us not to cast away this confidence, for it has great recompense of reward. Even when blessings seem delayed in this life, as they did for Jacob who spent many years in hardship and danger, God keeps His promises and His full blessing comes to completion in what is to come, when we shall stand before His judgment seat and receive unutterable blessings by His grace.
I pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will strengthen your trust in Him, keep you in His grace, help you to live faithfully before Him, and bring you with confidence to that day when you will receive the good things He has promised to those who love Him.
