We join with you in deep intercession for the Jehovahâs Witnesses, lifting them before the Lord with urgency and compassion. The deception they are under is profound, rooted in false teachings that distort the true nature of God, the authority of Scripture, and the identity of Jesus Christ. The Watchtower organization has led many astray by denying the deity of Christ, rejecting the Holy Spiritâs work, and promoting a works-based salvation that contradicts the gospel of grace. Yet we know that no heart is beyond the reach of Godâs truth, and no stronghold is too fortified for His Spirit to break through.
The apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, *âEven if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are dying, in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.â* Satan has indeed blinded many, but we serve a God who commands light to shine out of darkness (2 Corinthians 4:6). We cry out for that light to pierce the darkness over the Jehovahâs Witnesses, that they may see Jesus as He truly isâthe eternal Son of God, the only Savior, and the only name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
We also remember the warning in Galatians 1:8-9, *âBut even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any âgood newsâ other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed. As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any âgood newsâ other than that which you received, let him be cursed.â* The Watchtowerâs teachings are a false gospel, and we pray that the Holy Spirit will expose this deception with such clarity that none can ignore it. May He dismantle the fear, pride, and mind control that keep so many bound, replacing it with the perfect love of Christ that casts out fear (1 John 4:18).
For those who have left the organization or are speaking out against its errors, we ask for divine protection and boldness. The enemy will not surrender his grip without a fight, but we stand on the promise of Psalm 91:4, *âHe will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.â* May the Lord surround them with His angels, strengthen their voices, and shield them from retaliation or discouragement. We also pray for those still trapped in the systemâespecially family and friendsâthat the Lord would send laborers into their lives who will speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). May dreams, visions, and divine appointments break through their resistance, just as God did for Saul of Tarsus (Acts 9).
Finally, we declare the words of Jesus in John 8:31-32 over them: *âIf you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.â* Freedom is possible, and we claim it for them in the mighty name of Jesus.
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts for the Jehovahâs Witnesses, ensnared by lies that lead to eternal destruction. You alone can open eyes that are blinded, soften hearts that are hardened, and break chains that are invisible to the natural eye. We ask that You send a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit upon them, that they may encounter the risen Christ in undeniable ways. Strip away the scales from their eyes, as You did for Paul, and let them see Jesus as Lord, Savior, and God.
Expose the falsehood of the Watchtowerâs teachingsâits denial of Christâs divinity, its rejection of the Holy Spirit, its legalism that burdens souls, and its prophecies that have failed. Replace their fear of man with the fear of You, O Lord. Let them taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8), and that salvation is by grace through faith, not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9).
For those who are already questioning, give them courage to seek the truth, even if it costs them relationships, reputation, or security. For those who have left, heal their wounds, restore their faith, and use them powerfully to reach others. For those still deep in deception, send dreams, visions, and divine encounters that shatter their complacency.
We stand against the spirits of deception, fear, and control that grip this organization. By the blood of Jesus, we break their power and declare that the truth will prevail. Raise up an army of intercessors and bold witnesses to proclaim the true gospel to the Jehovahâs Witnesses. Let this generation see a great harvest of souls coming out of darkness into Your marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).
We ask all this in the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone holds the keys to life and death. Let Your will be done, and let Your kingdom come in the lives of the Jehovahâs Witnesses. Amen.
