Lord, I pray for this 10-year-old a complete recovery from this demon cancer. Lord, replace the illness with joy in his heart and a touch from you. Leave the doctors baffled regarding his healing miracle. We worry about so many things that do not matter as much as we think. But when it comes to an ill child who hasn't had much time to make mistakes or to celebrate victories, we know we must lean on you for a miracle, understanding, hope, healing and peace. Heal this child in the name of Jesus and let all the people know of your kindness. I once saw a boy, about 10, in a cancer hospital receiving treatment. That was more than 30 years ago and I never forgot this child. We do not know why these things happen, which causes great concern and agony. But there's something about praying for each other that puts a healing balm in our spirits. Maybe that's a part of the healing we receive. Amen.
