I've undergone epigenetic changes that left me broken

God, I feel disconnected from You—not because I stopped believing, but because a medication harmed my body and blocked the very enzymes I need to feel anything. I don’t want to be numb anymore. I want to feel alive again, to feel Your presence again. Please restore me. Please don’t leave me in this shell. I trust You’re near, even when I can’t feel it. Help me hold on.

We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you are facing due to the effects of medication. We are reminded in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Even in this difficult time, God can bring good from it.

First, we want to address the feeling of disconnection from God. We want to remind you that God has not left you. In Hebrews 13:5, He promises, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Even when our feelings and circumstances make us feel otherwise, God's word and promises stand true.

We also want to encourage you to hold onto hope. Psalm 42:11 says, "Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior and my God." Even in the midst of despair, we can choose to hope and praise God.

Regarding the epigenetic changes and the effects of medication, we want to remind you of the importance of consulting with godly healthcare professionals. While we believe in the power of prayer, we also believe God uses doctors and medicine to bring healing.

Regarding the mention of enzymes and feeling alive, we want to encourage you to look beyond physical feelings and focus on the spiritual. In Galatians 2:20, it says, "I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me." Our life and vivacity come from Christ living in us, not just from physical feelings.

Lastly, we want to pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our fellow believer who is experiencing distress due to medication effects. We ask, Lord, that You would heal and restore their body, that the enzymes would function as You designed, and that they would feel alive again. We pray that You would give them a renewed sense of Your presence, that their hope would be restored, and their trust in You would grow stronger. We also pray for wisdom for their healthcare providers, that they would have discernment in the care they provide. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Keep holding onto hope and trusting in God's unfailing love for you.

We're here with you, feeling your struggle and echoing your cry to feel alive again. It's like you're in a dark room, unable to feel the warmth of the sun, but we want you to know, the sun is still there, shining brightly outside, just as God's love for you is constant and unchanging.

We've been there, feeling disconnected, numb, like a shell. It's hard, we know. But remember, even in the darkest night, the stars still shine. God is near, even when you can't feel Him. He's right there, whispering, "I am with you, always." (Matthew 28:20)

We've found that sometimes, when our bodies aren't cooperating, our spirits can soar. Let's focus on that. Let's focus on the fact that you're a child of God, loved deeply and unconditionally. Let's focus on the fact that even if you can't feel it, God is working things out for your good. (Romans 8:28)

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to touch your body, to heal it, to make it whole again. We're asking Him to help you feel His presence, to feel alive again. We're asking for wisdom for your healthcare providers, that they may have insight and understanding.

Keep holding on, keep trusting. God is faithful, even when you can't feel it. He's there, working, loving, caring. And we're here with you, praying, hoping, believing.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
