I've fallen on hard times

I don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve fallen behind on bills, my mortgage & car payments. I luckily still have a job, but I’ve fallen desperately behind trying to make these payments. I don’t know what to do anymore. I feel like I’ve just want to give up on life.

We hear the deep despair in your words, and our hearts ache for the burden you are carrying. The weight of financial struggles can feel overwhelming, but we want you to know that you are not alone—God sees your suffering, and He cares deeply for you. The enemy would love for you to believe that there is no hope, but we stand firmly on the truth of Scripture, which reminds us that our Heavenly Father is a provider, a sustainer, and a God who delivers His children in their time of need.

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not a promise of mere comfort, but of divine provision. And in Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus Himself says, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus must remain on Him, even in this storm. He has not abandoned you.

Yet we must also address something critical in your words: the feeling of wanting to "give up on life." This is a lie from the pit of hell, designed to steal your hope and faith. Suicidal thoughts are not from God—they are attacks from the enemy, who comes only to "steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). But Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly! You are precious in His sight, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your life has purpose, even when you cannot see it. We *rebuke* this spirit of despair in the name of Jesus and declare that God is not finished with you yet. He has plans for you—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Now, let us pray for you with faith and authority:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved child of Yours who is crushed under the weight of financial hardship and despair. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessing upon them. Supernaturally intervene in their finances—provide the exact amount needed to cover every debt, every bill, every payment that is overdue. Give them wisdom to steward what You provide and favor with those they owe. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

We break the spirit of fear, anxiety, and hopelessness in Jesus’ name. Replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Restore their joy, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Surround them with Your angels for protection and provision.

Father, we also ask that You reveal any areas where they may need to seek godly counsel—whether through their church, a financial advisor, or a trusted believer who can help them navigate this season. Give them the humility to ask for help and the discernment to follow Your leading.

Most of all, Lord, draw them closer to You. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that they may look back and say, *"The Lord brought me through, and He never left my side."* We declare that their story is not over—it is being rewritten by Your hand. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Now, we urge you: *do not isolate yourself*. Reach out to your church family or a trusted believer who can pray with you and offer practical support. Sometimes, pride or shame keeps us from asking for help, but Proverbs 11:2 says, *"When pride comes, then comes shame, but with humility comes wisdom."* There is no shame in needing help—only strength in seeking it.

Also, examine your priorities in this season. Are there expenses that can be temporarily reduced or eliminated? Can you seek additional income through honest, honorable means? The Bible commends hard work (Proverbs 14:23) and wise stewardship (Luke 16:10). But even as you take practical steps, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, not the storm.

Lastly, we must ask: *Where is your faith anchored?* If you have not surrendered this burden to Christ in prayer, do so now. If you have not trusted Him as your Lord and Savior, there is no better time than this moment. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation does not guarantee a life free of trials, but it *does* guarantee that you will never walk through them alone.

Stand firm, beloved. This battle is not yours to fight alone—it is the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). He is making a way where there seems to be no way. Trust Him.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting you up in prayer. We know the weight of financial struggles can feel overwhelming, but remember, God sees you, He knows your needs, and He cares deeply. He's promised in Matthew 6:33, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Trust that He will provide, just as He has countless times before.

We want to encourage you, don't give up. There's a lie trying to steal your hope, telling you to give up on life. That's not from God. He has a purpose for you, a plan to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We rebuke that spirit of despair in Jesus' name and declare that God is not finished with you yet.

Let's pray together. Heavenly Father, we lift up our friend who's struggling financially. Lord, You're Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. We ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessings upon them. Supernaturally intervene in their finances, cover every debt, every bill, every overdue payment. Give them wisdom to steward what You provide and favor with those they owe. Replace fear and anxiety with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You're their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Restore their joy, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Surround them with Your angels for protection and provision. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Now, reach out to your church family or a trusted believer. Don't isolate yourself. There's no shame in needing help, only strength in seeking it. Examine your priorities, are there expenses that can be temporarily reduced or eliminated? Can you seek additional income through honest, honorable means? Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, not the storm.

Lastly, where is your faith anchored? Surrender this burden to Christ in prayer. Trust Him as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 says, "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Stand firm, beloved. This battle is not yours to fight alone. He's making a way where there seems to be no way. Trust Him.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

I don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve fallen behind on bills, my mortgage & car payments. I luckily still have a job, but I’ve fallen desperately behind trying to make these payments. I don’t know what to do anymore. I feel like I’ve just want to give up on life.
Hello friend. My empathy and compassion goes out to you with the heaviness you feel and seem to convey from the overwhelm from all your financial responsibilities. First of all I will pray for you and ask that God provides favorably for you in your time of need. I ask for financial assistance, abundance and prosperity to flow to you through God's grace. If you don't know what to do I would suggest thinking of and embodying the feeling of sweet relief when you visualize or imagine the money all ready in your possession. Keep feeling that feeling of sweet relief in your body, mind and spirit and thank God for ALREADY providing for you in the now. Trust me, you will see how if you consistently focus on that sweet relief feeling, solutions, money will flow your way because that practice of feeling is faith in action. God bless you and get excited about your blessings which God already has for you now. Amen

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
