We join with you in prayer and we hear the deep desire in your heart for love, for faithfulness, and for protection from deception and being used by others, and we bring this before the Lord together in Jesus' name.
We want to gently and lovingly address how you are speaking about Scripture. We understand your hunger to claim Deut 28:13 where it says Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail. You will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you today, to observe and to do them. This is a precious promise, but in context it was given to Israel as a blessing for obedience to the Lord, not as a formula or incantation we can loosen or speak into existence one hundred fold to force God to give us what we desire. God's Word is holy and powerful, but it is not a spell to be used to control outcomes. We are to submit to His will, not try to command Him. As Romans 12:2 says, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. We encourage you to delight in Him and trust His timing rather than demanding a result greatly today.
We also hear your prayer for a Boaz, a sweet man who will stay with you and be faithful only to you, and we affirm that desire for faithful love is good. God created marriage to be a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and we strongly endorse marriage as His beautiful design. The story of Ruth and Boaz is indeed a picture of God's providence, but Boaz was a godly man of character who pursued marriage in a way that honored God. We want to encourage you to reframe your request from seeking a boyfriend to seeking a godly husband through biblical courtship. A boyfriend or girlfriend relationship in God's eyes should be courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, not simply companionship or someone who follows you everywhere and texts you constantly out of neediness. True love is grounded in Christ and marked by patience, purity and commitment. As Prov 18:22 says, Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh, and this principle applies to finding a godly husband as well. And 2 Cor 6:14 warns, Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have. We pray you will seek a man who loves Jesus first, who will lead you spiritually and honor you as his future wife.
If you are entering a courtship, we must also speak the truth in love about purity. Sex before or outside of marriage is fornication or adultery, and God calls us to flee from it. As 1 Cor 6:18 says, Flee sexual immorality, and Heb 13:4 says, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. A relationship that honors God will guard your purity until marriage and will not use you for energy or anything else, but will cherish you as a daughter of the King.
We also pray for your protection from lies, fake messages, catfishing, scams and spam. It is wise and right to ask God for discernment. As James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We ask God to give you great wisdom and accuracy through the Holy Spirit, not through striving, to recognize deception and to guard your heart and your accounts, including your Pinterest account, from those who would misuse you.
We are thankful you mentioned the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We rest in His finished work.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear daughter to You. We ask that You heal any place in her heart that has felt used, lied to, or abandoned. Help her to find her identity and completeness in You first, delighting herself in You as Psalm 37:4 says, Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Forgive us when we try to use Your Word to control You, and teach us to obey You and trust Your perfect will. We ask for Your protection over her from every lying spirit, every false message, every scam and every person who would seek to exploit her. Grant her discernment and peace. If it is Your will, bring into her life a godly man, a husband who loves You above all else, a man of integrity like Boaz, who will pursue her for marriage, who will be faithful to her alone, who will honor her purity and lead her well. Prepare both of them for such a marriage that honors You. Help her to wait for You with strength and courage as Psalm 27:14 says, Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. We ask that You be Lord over every area of her life, including her online presence, and that she would walk as the head and not the tail by walking in obedience to Your commandments through Christ. We pray all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, amen.
