It's going to be a long day

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ. I work the night shift (four 10 hour shifts weekly). I’ll be finishing up my last shift of the week in about an hour and a half. Today is our company’s Christmas Party. It starts in about six and one-half hours. Since I live on an island I have to catch a ferry to the island the party is on in four hours. The earliest ferry I can catch to get back home leaves the other island in 15.5 hours. Needless to say I’m already tired. I’ll have to leave my dogs at home alone again for about 13 hours or leave them with a neighbor who I’m not sure can handle the dogs for that length of time. Please ask God to help me make it through this ‘mandatory’ ordeal. Please ask Him to keep my dogs safe and comfortable while I’m away. Please ask Him to watch over and protect them too. I ask all of this in Jesus Name. Amen.

Let the mind and heart that is in Christ Jesus be in each of us. Let the lifestyle we live be shaped by the Word of God. Teach us all how to love, honor, and respect You with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength. Amen!!

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
