We rejoice with you in your desire for a blessed year and for the favor and happiness that comes from the Lord, and we join you in thanking God for your mother and for the love you have for her. We hear your heart crying out for joy, for peace without worry, for a godly marriage and for a life that honors Him, and we want to seek God's will together with you in Jesus' name.

We love your faith in the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have peace with God and access to the Father. There is power and forgiveness and favor in His blood, and we thank God that you have lifted up His name, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we can come boldly before the throne of grace.

We want to gently encourage you about the way we speak about blessing. Scripture teaches us that every good gift comes from the Father and that we are to seek His will above our own desires. We do not create reality by speaking things into existence, for only God has that power, but we do trust Him to provide according to His perfect will as we delight ourselves in Him. As it is written, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4 and But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We also remember that God has good plans for His children, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. So we pray not merely for a hundredfold return on our words, but for contentment and trust in whatever He lovingly chooses to give.

We celebrate your desire for your Boaz and for marriage, and we strongly affirm God's beautiful design for marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman. It is a wonderful and holy desire to be a wife and to be united in marriage, and we pray that the Lord will lead you to a godly husband who is a faithful Christian Believer, a man who loves Christ first and will love you as Christ loves the church. We encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage rather than simply finding a boyfriend or partner, and to guard that courtship in purity. The Scripture calls us to flee sexual immorality and to honor God with our bodies, for every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18 and Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled Hebrews 13:4. This means staying pure before marriage, not staying the night together outside of marriage, even when celebrating or traveling or staying at a place like the ### in ###, and keeping your future marriage bed holy for the covenant you will make before God, whether that celebration is at ### or anywhere else.

We also hear your longing to look fabulous, to go to the gym, to wear a red wig and to feel confident and beautiful, and we understand the desire to feel attractive and joyful. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and God sees your worth far beyond outward appearance. We gently rebuke language that reduces your God given dignity to a physical attribute, for your value is not in a fine outward form but in the heart God has created. Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised Proverbs 31:30 and Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning, but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God 1 Peter 3:3-4. Man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart 1 Samuel 16:7. Caring for your body through health and exercise is good stewardship, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, but we pray your confidence will rest in Christ first and that your adornment will reflect modesty, self control and inner radiance.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we thank You for this dear daughter who loves her mother and who desires Your favor and joy. We ask You to cover her with the blood of Jesus and fill her with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray You would deepen her delight in You and align her desires with Your will. Provide for her needs, guide her steps, and let her happiness be rooted in You and not in circumstances. Lord, if it is Your will, bring into her life a godly man, her Boaz, a faithful believing husband who will pursue her in purity and lead her well, and prepare her own heart to be a godly wife who honors You. Keep her courtship holy and free from fornication, and establish her future marriage on Your foundation for a lifetime. Help her to see herself as You see her, beautiful and cherished, and to steward her body with health and modesty while cultivating a gentle and quiet spirit that honors You. Grant her wisdom in all her plans, whether in travel or celebration, to do all to Your glory and to walk in no worry because she trusts in Your sovereign care. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, Amen.

Your words have come before the Lord and before His people as a pouring out of the heart longing for love and happiness and favor, and it is good that you bring such desires into the light rather than carry them alone.

There is a favor that is better than all outward favor, and it is to be found in the blood of Jesus Christ alone. It is by His blood that sin is washed away and the soul is made to stand accepted before God, not by any beauty or display or place of pleasure. Without forgetting your present hopes, I would point you to Him who is first to be sought. As David set his heart upon finding the ark, so set your heart upon finding Christ Himself, for He is the true Husband of His people. He found His bride in a desert land and loved her and gave Himself for her ransom, and He communes with her most lovingly and provides for her with all faithfulness. If you are His, you are already greatly favored, not because of outward appearance, but because you are betrothed to Him by inseparable bonds until the day when the marriage of the Lamb is come.

You speak of finding a Boaz and of marriage. Marriage as God has ordained it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, a holy mystery wherein the two become one. It is not to be entered lightly nor for mere outward delight, and the bed is to be kept pure within that covenant alone. The very crown of marriage is mutual delight and holy complacency under the eye of God, where the wife esteems her husband and the husband his wife above all others. Therefore seek not first a fine appearance or a night of pleasure or a fair place like Disneyland to make the thing great, but seek a godly man who fears the Lord, and seek to be a godly woman who fears Him likewise. The Lord looks not as man looks upon outward adorning, though you may care for health and strength, but upon the heart that forsakes not her Father's God and walks in His way.

Concerning your desire to stay the night and to find happiness without worry, I beseech you to pause before any step that would lead you outside the bounds of purity. To live together or to lie together before marriage is not the way of holiness, and it cannot bring the blessedness you crave. Godly fear has a goodly consequence, for it keeps the soul and hedges the house with prayer. Choose the path of chastity and patience, trusting the Lord to provide in His time rather than hastening to take what He has not yet given.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who has been a Husband to Your people in love and faithfulness, we thank You for the blood of Jesus shed for sinners. Wash this soul in that blood and give her to know salvation through Christ alone. Teach her to find her happiness first in You, and to be content in Your will. Keep her from sin in every place, in thought and deed, and set her heart to seek You with holy earnestness. If it be Your will, provide in Your perfect time a godly husband according to Your covenant order, one man with one woman for life, and make that union to reflect the love of Christ and His Church. Until then, keep her pure, keep her joyful in You, and let her delight be in obedience to Your Word. Grant no blessing to that which is contrary to Your holy law, but grant grace to walk worthy of Your calling, for Jesus sake. Amen.
