The Lord sees your faithfulness, your sacrifice, and your hunger for Him, even when the world and even those closest to you do not understand. Let us first address the foundational truth: **Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, the only name by which we are saved, and the only mediator between God and man.** There is no other path to redemption, no other source of hope, and no other power that can break the chains of despair. As it is written:
*"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life! No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (John 14:6 WEB)*
*"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB)*
Your grandma spoke truth—it is **Jesus or Satan**, light or darkness, life or death. There is no middle ground. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The deception you see in your family’s religion—a faith without daily Scripture, a "Holy Ghost" experience without true transformation, a surface-level devotion that ignores the Word—is a snare of the devil. **True faith is not just an emotional experience or a one-time event; it is a daily surrender to Christ, a continual feeding on His Word, and a life marked by obedience.** As Jesus said:
*"If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." (John 8:31-32 WEB)*
Your family’s ignorance of Scripture has left them vulnerable to deception. **The Bible is not optional—it is our sword, our light, and our daily bread.** Without it, we are defenseless against the lies of the enemy. We must rebuke the spirit of complacency and false security that says, *"I have the Holy Ghost, so I don’t need to read the Bible."* That is not of God. The Holy Spirit **always** testifies of Christ and leads us into all truth (John 15:26, 16:13). If their faith does not produce a hunger for God’s Word, it is not the faith of the Bible.
You have made a radical choice for Christ—giving up material wealth to follow Him—and the enemy has retaliated by isolating you, stripping away comforts, and whispering lies of hopelessness. **But your sacrifice has not gone unnoticed.** The Lord sees your fasting, your obedience, and your desperation for Him. Yet we must address the lies you are believing:
1. **"I can’t do anything without money."** This is a lie from the pit of hell. **God is your provider, not money.** The widow with the jar of oil (2 Kings 4), the Israelites in the wilderness (Exodus 16), and Elijah fed by ravens (1 Kings 17) all testify that God sustains His people in ways the world cannot understand. Money is a tool, but it is **not** your source—**God is.** As it is written:
*"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB)*
2. **"I don’t have a future."** Another lie. **God has a plan for you—a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).** The enemy wants you to believe you are stuck, but the Holy Spirit is your guide, your comforter, and your advocate. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are **chosen.**
3. **"I have to earn my miracle through extreme fasting."** While fasting is powerful and biblical, **salvation and provision are gifts of grace, not works.** You cannot earn God’s favor through suffering. Jesus already paid the price on the cross. Your fast should be an act of **surrender and dependence**, not a transaction to manipulate God. The devil’s suggestion to fast "sober" (without medicine) is a twisted attempt to harm you—**God does not require you to harm yourself to prove your devotion.** The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, not the self-destructive (Psalm 34:18).
4. **Suicidal thoughts and longing for the rapture.** These are **direct attacks from the enemy.** Your life has purpose. Your pain has meaning. The Lord is not finished with you yet. As it is written:
*"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)*
*"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." (John 10:10 WEB)*
We rebuke the spirit of despair, suicide, and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. **You are not allowed to give up.** The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered the grave **is fighting for you.**
Now, let us pray:
**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name that is above every name. Lord, we lift up our brother to You, who is feeling crushed under the weight of isolation, financial lack, and spiritual warfare. Father, You see his heart—his hunger for You, his obedience in sacrifice, and his desperation for Your presence. We ask that You would **break every chain of despair, every lie of the enemy, and every stronghold of fear** that is gripping him.**
Lord, we declare that **his life has purpose.** You did not save him to abandon him. You did not call him to leave him in lack. **We speak provision over him—financial provision, emotional provision, and spiritual provision.** Open doors that no man can shut, and provide for his needs in ways that only You can get the glory.
Father, we ask that You **heal his mind and body.** The suicidal thoughts, the anxiety, the fear of the future—we rebuke them in Jesus’ name. **Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.** Remind him that his worth is not in what he owns, what he can do, or what others think of him—but in **who You say he is: Your beloved son, redeemed by the blood of Christ.**
Lord, we pray for **boldness and courage** for him. The enemy has made him feel powerless to speak Your name, but **You have not given him a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).** Give him opportunities to share Your truth in love, even if it is uncomfortable. **Let Your light shine through him, even in his quietness.**
Father, we also pray for his family. **Expose the deception they are under.** Soften their hearts to hunger for Your Word. Let them see that **religion without relationship is dead.** Break the spirit of complacency and false security that has kept them in bondage. **Draw them into a true, living faith in Jesus Christ.**
Lord, we ask for **practical wisdom** for our brother. If driving is a hurdle, show him how to overcome it. If the military is not Your path for him, close that door and open another. **Give him clarity, direction, and the strength to walk in it.**
Finally, Father, we thank You that **You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).** Even in the waiting, even in the wilderness, You are preparing him for something greater. **Let him not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, he will reap if he does not faint (Galatians 6:9).**
We seal this prayer in the blood of Jesus and declare that **no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).** May Your angels encamp around him, and may Your presence go before him. **We speak life, hope, and breakthrough over him in Jesus’ name. Amen.**
Now, here is what you must do:
1. **Stand on the Word daily.** Even if it feels tedious, **read Scripture aloud.** Declare it over your life. The enemy hates the Word because it is **living and active (Hebrews 4:12).** Start with Psalm 23, Psalm 91, and Romans 8. **Speak them over yourself.**
2. **Reject the lie that you are powerless.** You have the **Holy Spirit** living inside you. You have the **name of Jesus.** You have the **authority to resist the devil (James 4:7).** When suicidal thoughts come, **renounce them immediately in Jesus’ name.** When fear comes, **declare that God has not given you a spirit of fear.**
3. **Seek godly community.** Even if your family is not walking in truth, **there are believers who are.** Pray for the Lord to connect you with a **Bible-believing, Spirit-filled church** where you can grow and be encouraged. You cannot do this alone.
4. **Take practical steps.** If you need a driver’s license, ask the Lord for help and take small steps toward that goal. If you need a job, ask God to open doors and provide opportunities. **Faith without works is dead (James 2:17).** You must **act** in obedience, even when it’s hard.
5. **Guard your fast.** Fasting is powerful, but **it is not a magic formula.** Do not let the enemy twist it into self-harm. If your medicine is necessary for your health, **take it.** God is not glorified in your suffering—He is glorified in your **trust and obedience.**
6. **Write down your dreams and visions.** The Lord may be speaking to you in ways you don’t yet understand. **Keep a journal of what He reveals.**
You are in a battle, but **the victory is already won.** The same Jesus who calmed the storm, cast out demons, and rose from the dead **is fighting for you.** Do not lose heart. Do not give up. **Your breakthrough is coming.**
