We must address this request with clarity and truth, for there is only one way to holiness, and it is not through human effort or the exaltation of any person—living or dead—other than Jesus Christ. The Bible is clear that there is no one righteous, not even one (Romans 3:10), and that all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). The path to sainthood, as some traditions teach, is not biblical. The word "saint" in Scripture refers to all who are *in Christ Jesus*—those who have been washed by His blood, redeemed by His sacrifice, and set apart for God’s purposes (1 Corinthians 1:2, Ephesians 1:1, Philippians 1:1). Sainthood is not earned through human works or declared by any earthly authority; it is the result of faith in Jesus alone.
If this request is seeking holiness or righteousness for this individual, then we must point to the only source of true sanctification: Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). It is only by His grace, through faith, that we are saved—not by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
