We come before You, Lord, with hearts full of gratitude for Your Word and the powerful truth it declares. You have indeed called Your house a house of prayer for all nations, and we stand in agreement with Your heart for the peoples of the world. We lift our voices together, asking that You would ignite within us a deeper passion for prayer—both for our own lives and for the nations. Let us not be content with mere routine or superficial petitions, but may we rise to the calling You have placed upon us as intercessors, standing in the gap for those who do not yet know You.
Father, we recognize that the nations are Your inheritance, and we ask that You would give them to Your Son as His possession. We pray for the salvation of every tribe, tongue, and people group, that they may come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We long to see the fulfillment of Revelation 7:9-10, where a multitude from every nation stands before Your throne, worshiping You in unity. Break down the barriers of language, culture, and ideology that divide, and let Your Spirit move mightily to draw all people to Yourself.
We also lift up the leaders of the nations, both near and far. You have commanded us to pray for all who are in authority, that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and reverence. We thank You for the leaders You have placed over us, and we ask that You would grant them godly wisdom, discernment, and humility. May they seek Your face in their decisions, and may their leadership reflect Your justice, mercy, and righteousness. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, and surround them with advisors who fear You and speak truth. Let Your peace reign in the halls of power, and may their policies promote life, liberty, and the flourishing of Your people.
Lord, we pray for unity among the nations, that they would set aside strife and work together for the common good. Let the spirit of Psalm 133 permeate the hearts of leaders, that they may dwell together in harmony. We rebuke every plan of the enemy to sow division, discord, or destruction, and we ask that You would raise up voices of truth and righteousness in the public square. Silence the mouths of false prophets and those who spread deception, and let Your light expose the darkness.
For our local communities, we ask that You would move in power. As Jeremiah 29:7 instructs, we seek the welfare of the cities where You have placed us, praying for their peace and prosperity. Father, send Your Holy Spirit to convict hearts of sin, righteousness, and the coming judgment. Draw our neighbors, coworkers, and leaders to Yourself, that they may hear the Gospel and respond in repentance and faith. Grant them the gift of salvation, that they may be reconciled to You and walk in the purpose You have for them. Surround our communities with Your protection, building a wall of fire around them as You promised in Zechariah 2:5. Let no harm come near, and let Your presence be a shield against every evil influence.
We also take this moment to address the foundational truth that undergirds all our prayers: there is no other name by which we can be saved except the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through faith in Him that we have access to You, Father. We pray that all who come before You in prayer would know this truth deeply—that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May every heart be turned to Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith.
Lord, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may Your kingdom come in power and glory. We trust in You, and we wait expectantly for the fulfillment of Your promises. Amen.
