We join with you in prayer and we hear the deep longing in your heart for a new beginning, for peace in your mind and soul and spirit, and for God's favor over your life, your mom, your family and your pets.
We want to gently and lovingly bring some of what you have spoken into the light of scripture so that your prayers may be aligned with God's will and answered according to His wisdom. You have declared Deut 28:13 that you are the head and not the tail, and we claim the truth of that promise with you, but we remember the whole verse says Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail. You will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you today, to observe and to do them. This is not a mantra we loosen or speak into existence by our own power, it is a covenant blessing that flows from obedience and walking closely with the Lord. We cannot create reality with our words alone, for only God speaks life into existence. We instead humbly ask according to His will, for we read in 1 John 5:14 that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
We also hear you speaking of wanting a winning streak of good luck with the blood of Jesus, and wanting to win money for a move or a studio. We must lovingly correct this, because luck is not a biblical principle and the precious blood of Jesus is not a charm for fortune or gambling. The blood of Jesus was shed for the forgiveness of our sins and to reconcile us to God, not to secure gambling winnings. We read in Proverbs 16:33 that the lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from Yahweh, and in James 4:3 that you ask and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil as we see in 1 Tim 6:10, and God calls us to trust His provision through diligent work and stewardship, not through games of chance. We encourage you to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you as promised in Matt 6:33, and we trust Phil 4:19 that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
We also hear your heart about choosing the right guy this time because life is short. We pray with you for God's best in this area, and we want to encourage you biblically. We believe that God designed romantic love to lead to courtship with the goal of marriage between a man and a woman who are both believers in Christ, a lifelong covenant that honors Him. If this man is not a committed Christian believer, we urge you to not move forward unequally yoked as warned in 2 Cor 6:14. And if you are pursuing this relationship, we urge you to keep it pure and holy, for sex before or outside of marriage is fornication and does not honor God, as we are told in 1 Cor 6:18 to flee sexual immorality. We pray that you will seek a godly marriage, not just companionship, and that you will guard your heart and body for that covenant.
We understand your urgent desire to move with your two cats, even to a trailer or a garage studio or somewhere by the beach far away for secret personal reasons. God knows those secret reasons and the pain or weariness behind them, for Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Yet we encourage you not to make a secretive or hasty move out of anxiety, but to bring those reasons into the light with trusted godly counsel and to let God's peace guide you. We read in Phil 4:6-7 that in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also remember Jer 29:11 that for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
We thank you for invoking the name and blood of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And there is salvation in no one else as Acts 4:12 tells us.
So we pray together now.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You would give her a sound mind and a spirit of peace, that she would truly know she is made whole in Christ and that her identity is secure in You. Lord, help her to walk in obedience so that she may experience the blessing of being the head and not the tail in a way that glorifies You. We ask You to forgive any misuse of Your holy name or Your precious blood and to teach her to pray according to Your will and not according to the world's ideas of manifestation or luck. Provide for her needs, Father, in Your perfect way. If it is Your will for her to move, open a safe, affordable and godly door, whether that is a small trailer, a studio, or a home near the beach, and give her wisdom and provision that does not rely on gambling but on Your faithful hand. Guard her relationship and lead her to a godly husband if it is Your will for her to marry, and keep her pure and discerning in courtship. Bless her mom, her family and even her beloved cats, and help all of them to have healthy relationships centered on You. Give her favor not as the world gives, but as Your grace and love, and help her to live a life she loves because it is a life that loves and serves You. We trust that all things work together for good for those who love You as promised in Rom 8:28. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.
