We hear your heart in this and we join with you in seeking God's will together in Jesus' name. We rejoice that you have accepted the calling God has placed on you and that you see the beauty in running your race with endurance, slow and steady like the tortoise, trusting the Lord's timing rather than rushing ahead in your own strength.

The scripture reminds us that The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty Proverbs 21:5 and also that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong Ecclesiastes 9:11 but to those who remain faithful. We thank God with you for the turtle you cared for and for your prayer that it would be safe when you released it back to the wild, for we are called to steward creation well, for God said Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth Genesis 1:26. Your compassion for animals and mammals reflects a tender heart, and we pray God will shape that compassion into wise and faithful stewardship.

We also hear your desire to see good organizations prosper and not abuse animals, and to build a business that truly helps and saves them. We understand the pain of past businesses that did not succeed, the janitorial work and the nail business that failed despite hard labor. We want to encourage you that God sees that labor and He is not wasteful with our experiences. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We pray with you for provision, for a job for now in the beauty industry and for wisdom for the long term goal of an online business that honors God and serves animals well. We ask God to provide for your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and to grant you favor for grants and loans only if it is His will and in a way that keeps you free from unwise debt, for the borrower is servant to the lender Proverbs 22:7. We pray that this next business would not be built on striving to prove anything to others, but on diligence, integrity, and service to the Lord, and that He would use what the enemy meant for bad for good in your life, as He promises to work all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28.

We do want to gently address something you spoke about those you call jealous haters and saying they should go to hell. We understand the hurt and frustration that comes from feeling opposed or mocked, and we know the enemy does prowl around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8. Yet we are called not to wish damnation on anyone, for the Lord is not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, not to us, as it is written Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Instead Jesus calls us to Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. So we will pray for those who have hurt you or opposed you, that God would bless them, soften hearts, and bring them to truth, and that He would guard your own heart from bitterness so you can remain free to love and to build without chaos and drama.

We also hear your longing for a great spouse that stays. We pray with you for a godly marriage as God designed it, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman that honors Him. We pray not simply for a partner but for a spouse, and that if you are called to marriage, God would lead you to a fellow believer in Christ and that any courtship would be pursued with purity and with marriage as the goal, fleeing from fornication and keeping the marriage bed holy as scripture teaches Hebrews 13:4. We pray that God would prepare you both in this waiting season and that your future marriage would reflect Christ's love for the church.

We thank you for ending your request with the blood of Jesus, for it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 and there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection and His shed blood, that we are forgiven and brought near to God.

We pray together now. Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus. We thank You for the calling You have placed on their life and for the perseverance You are teaching them through the picture of the tortoise, slow and steady. Grant them endurance, humility, and peace as they wait on You. Heal the disappointment from past business failures and use those lessons for wisdom going forward. Provide a good job that uses their gifts and supports their long term vision, and if it is Your will, open doors for a business that prospers not for selfish fame but to do good and to steward Your creatures well. Give them wise counsel, financial understanding, and integrity in all dealings. Guard their heart from lies of the enemy and from the desire for fame, and help them to find their identity fully in Christ. We pray for a godly spouse in Your perfect timing, a marriage that stays and honors You. Soften their heart toward those who have caused pain, help them to bless and not curse, and protect them from hatred and bitterness. There is much to give thanks for in your prayer, and we have heard your heart with care. You speak of having accepted your calling and of finishing the race slow and steady as the tortoise, and this is a fitting picture of the perseverance which God works in His people. The Scripture teaches us that perseverance is not a hurried presumption but a settled way of grace, that those whom the Lord keeps shall not depart from Him, for He puts His fear within them and holds them in the hands of Christ where none can pluck them out.

We rejoice to hear that you returned the creature entrusted to you to its proper place and prayed for its safety. Such care for the living things God has made is a mark of a tender stewardship, and to speak life over that which would protect animals from cruelty and needless harm is good and right. The Lord would have us discharge the duties of our calling as in the sight of God, and by prayer and thanksgiving saturate our lives with godliness till every action drips with sanctity. Whether in business or in labor, in the shop or in the home, there is no division where we say in this thing I will be a Christian and in the other I will be a businessman. The Christian is to be a Christian everywhere, not less shrewd nor less diligent, but honest and faithful in all things.

You have known disappointment in former labors, in the janitorial business and in the nail business, and now you desire of the Lord an online business that might prosper and do good, particularly for mammals and other animals, and you ask for grants and loans and for provision. We will pray that the Lord in His wisdom will open a door of honest provision for you, and that if it be His will He will establish the work of your hands. Remember that true success is not only in outward increase but in perseverance in holiness, in doing all to the glory of God, and in abiding near to Him so that you bring forth much fruit. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and labor with diligence, integrity and prayer, trusting not in grants alone but in the living God who gives all things.

You also ask for a job for now in the beauty industry or in work with animals that might serve your long term goal, and for a great spouse that stays. These are lawful desires when brought under the Lordship of Christ. We will pray that God will provide suitable employment where you can work faithfully unto Him and grow in skill for future usefulness. And concerning marriage, we pray that if it be the Lord's will to give you a spouse, it may be that holy covenant which Scripture sets forth, the lifelong union of one man and one woman, entered into in the Lord, marked by faithfulness and love as Christ loves His church. Such a marriage stays because it is kept by vows before God and by grace to keep them. We ask the Lord to prepare you for that estate by making you steadfast in Christ first, for he who would love a spouse well must first love the Savior supremely.

You speak of not listening to lies from Satan and his crew, and this is wise. The enemy would trouble you and cast you down even after prayer, but Christ says Come unto me, not that you may bring power to Him but that you may receive power from Him to overcome sin and to bear your daily burdens. Cling to that invitation. When waves and billows go over you, say with Job, I know that my Defender lives, and let your confidence be strong in time of trouble and in acts of obedience.

You have also spoken with heat concerning those you call haters and jealous ones, desiring that they go to hell. We must gently urge you to another way. Our Lord bids us to love our enemies and pray for those who despitefully use us. It is right to hate evil and to oppose cruelty, but we are not to wish damnation upon any soul, for we ourselves were saved only by mercy. Pray that those who hate you may be brought to repentance and to Christ, and that all organizations, whether yours or others, may prosper only insofar as they do what is just and merciful before God. What the enemy meant for bad, God can turn for good, but that turning is His work through holiness, forgiveness and truth.

And you rightly close with the blood of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, by His atoning blood and righteousness. Hold fast there, and let every prayer be offered through Him.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, we thank Thee for this soul who desires to run with patience the race set before them. Thou hast called Thy people not in shoals but one by one, and we pray that this effectual calling may be sure and steadfast in Christ. Grant perseverance in holiness, that they may not depart from Thee. Provide honest work for their hands, and if it please Thee, prosper a business that may be used for good stewardship and mercy to Thy creatures, kept with integrity and thanksgiving. Prepare for them, if it be Thy will, a godly marriage, a lifelong covenant according to Thy design, rooted in faith and faithfulness. Guard their heart from the lies of the adversary, and teach them to pray in business and in labor, with short prayers flying up all day long from a devout soul. Forgive their sins through the blood of Jesus, and let them know the love of the Bridegroom who gave Himself for His spouse. Jesus calls people to a full commitment of discipleship. When He called fishermen, they left their nets and what was familiar to follow Him closely. That is the pattern for anyone who wants to know Him, not to follow at a distance but to walk near Him day by day. One of the reasons people stumble is that they try to follow from far off or try to find warmth at the enemy's fire, and that path always leads to defeat. The place of safety and strength is close to Jesus, doing the will of God. Those who do His will are brought into a close family relationship with Him, as brothers and sisters in His household.

Part of following closely is a continual willingness to repent and change. When Jesus spoke to the churches at the end of the first century, His repeated word was to repent, to turn from what is wrong and turn more fully to Him. You mention not listening to the lies of the enemy, and that is right and necessary, but it is also important not to answer darkness with cursing. Wanting those who oppose you to be condemned is not the heart Jesus teaches. He calls us to bless and not curse, to pray for those who oppose us, and to leave judgment to God. Even when others were jealous of Jesus and accused Him of doing His works by the power of the enemy, He kept doing the Father's will and did not return evil for evil.

You also share about past business disappointments and new hopes for work that helps animals and provides for the future, including hopes for grants, an online business, work in the beauty field, and a lasting marriage. Compassion for animals is a good thing, Scripture says a righteous person cares for the needs of his animal, and honest work is honorable before God. Yet God's work is not built on pretense or on empty words, and success is not measured only by whether a business prospers or fails. The Lord looks for faithfulness, integrity, and dependence on Him rather than on fame, platforms, or the approval of others. If you desire marriage, pray that God would lead you to a spouse who loves Christ and that you would build that covenant on faithfulness to Him. Jesus also taught that in the resurrection people will not marry but will be as the angels in heaven, which reminds us that marriage is for this life and points us to the eternal hope we have in Him.

It is good that you speak of the blood of Jesus, because salvation is through Him alone.
