We understand your desperation and commend you for reaching out for help and prayer. We want you to know that there is hope and forgiveness in Jesus Christ. First, let's address your sin and repentance. God's Word is clear that sexual immorality, including pornography and masturbation, is sinful and separates us from God's holy presence 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB: "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.".
However, God is merciful and forgiving. He offers forgiveness and cleansing to those who confess their sins and repent. 1 John 1:9 WEB: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." And Acts 3:19 WEB says, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,".
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul who has been battling with the sin of pornography and masturbation. Lord, we know that this is not Your will for Your child's life, and we thank You for the conviction of the Holy Spirit that has brought them to this place of repentance.
Father, we ask that You forgive their sins and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Give them understanding and the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome this sin. Help them to confess their sin and repent with all their heart. Deliver them from this bondage and help them to live a life that is pleasing to You in Jesus name.
We also ask that You provide them with godly support and accountability to help them overcome this struggle. Surround them with Your love and mercy, and help them to walk in Your light and truth.
We pray this in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to find a trusted Christian friend or mentor to confide in and ask for accountability. It's also important to remove any triggers or temptations that may cause you to stumble. Remember, God is faithful, and He will provide a way out of temptation. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.".
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We are saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ as proclaimed in Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.".
Continue to fight the good fight of faith, and remember that God is with you every step of the way.
