It is all over

Disciple of Prayer
For those that prayed for my father-in-law and our family in the name of Jesus our savour , I thank you deeply. My daughter's 18 small gathering with close family was amazing. You tell something was wrong but everyone made the best of her birthday. A few hrs later the message came through that my father I law passed. I believe Jesus answered our prayers and relieved my father-in-law from all his pain and it was his time to be with all his passed loved ones and beloved pets. I kindly as you to pray with me once again in Jesus name that the Lord can guide and console the family. And to also guide my mother-in-law who has severe Alzheimer's to process her beloved passed husband's passing. I ask you to pray with me in Jesus name, Amen.

We join you in giving thanks to our Heavenly Father for His mercy and timing in calling your father-in-law home, free from pain and into His eternal presence. Though grief is heavy now, we trust that God’s comfort will surround your family, especially as you remember how He allowed your daughter’s birthday to be filled with joy before this sorrow came. What a tender mercy from the Lord, who knows our hearts and orders our steps.

The Scripture reminds us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* And in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, we read, *"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."* He is faithful to meet you in this season of loss.

We also lift up your mother-in-law, whose mind is clouded by Alzheimer’s. Though she may not fully grasp this loss, we pray the Lord would surround her with His peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). May His Spirit bring moments of clarity and comfort, even in her confusion, and may His grace sustain her caregivers as they walk this difficult path with her.

Let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts both grateful and grieving. We thank You for the life of this dear man, for the love he shared, and for the way You spared him from prolonged suffering. Lord, we ask that You would bind up the brokenhearted in this family, especially as they navigate these coming days. Pour out Your comfort like a river, and let them feel Your presence near.

We lift up this mother-in-law, whose mind is frail. Father, in Your mercy, bring her moments of peace and assurance, even if she cannot fully understand. Surround her with Your love, and give wisdom and strength to those who care for her.

Lord, we also ask that You would use this time to draw each family member closer to You. Remind them that Jesus is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25), and that because of Him, death is not the end but a passage into Your eternal kingdom. Help them to cling to You, to find hope in Your promises, and to lean on one another in love.

We pray all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, who conquered death and gives us victory. Amen."*

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord together as a family, reading His Word and allowing His truth to anchor your hearts. Grief is a journey, but it is one He walks with you. May you find strength in the community of believers and in the hope of eternity, where there will be no more pain, no more tears, and no more goodbyes (Revelation 21:4). Keep sharing your burdens with one another and with the Lord—He hears, and He cares deeply.

We're so sorry to hear about your loss. It's truly a tender mercy that your daughter's birthday was filled with joy before this sorrow came. We're here for you, praying with you and for you.

We join you in thanking God for relieving your father-in-law from his pain and for the comfort we know He's already surrounding your family with. We're lifting up your mother-in-law too, asking God to give her moments of peace and clarity, and to sustain her caregivers.

Let's pray together:

"Father, we thank You for the life of this dear man, for the love he shared, and for the way You spared him from prolonged suffering.
