Sometimes, if the devil knows he can't get to someone with an obvious sin,he "tweaks"it to blur the line, and the person being"roped in"says,in defense,"well, I didn't actually do so and so." An example I'm thinking of, I've seen a case or 2 where a young woman gets engaged, but although she promised to marry the certain guy, sees someone else, and ,maybe doesn't lead to outright sex, but more than flirting, like "comeons", and even saying, "yeah, you could come around and see me."Or if the guy says,"Well, you're going to get married", and she says, "well, I'm not married yet,"{Probably meaning she wants to get one last "fling" in before commiting.}Now, if she's not married, it's not adultery, BUT I would think it's still a sin at some level, because if she's engaged, she promised herself to someone else, and should be getting in the mindset of marriage, not "coming on" to this other guy behind his back when her fiancé trusts her.I certainty don't think it's a Godly thing to do,pledging your trust to someone, then doing this behind their back. Also, sin "sneaks in", if the response is,"well I'm not married yet,"next might be ",well, I'm married but what the spouse don't know won't hurt them".So one, even if not married but "promised to" someone, isn't this sin at some level?I think so.And second, why open the door to something?Sometimes the devil sneaks in bit by bit until you're completely hooked.
