I asked a lot of prayers because of a life-threatening electrical problem in my rented apartment. Thank God, I survived and moved out. But the story hasn't seemed to end there.
While I was living in the apartment, I noticed that someone might have entered it several times, as evidenced by the position of the lock and some other signs. After many months and much unclear communication, it seems possible that they intentionally tried to kill me. I don't know for sure. Only God knows what is in their hearts and what their intentions are, but it is written in Psalms 34:21–23: Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. Last week, a woman I had never spoken to before came up to me angrily and shouted lies and accusations at me. She said that I had entered the house where she and the ex-landlord live. She heard this from someone else and tried to accuse me and destroy me. Thank God the Lord protected me again. Please pray for the residents of the house so that they can see the truth, because I never entered their apartment. However, it is highly likely that someone entered the apartment while I was living in that life-threatening flat. If this woman hired technicians to damage the heating system and disconnect consumers from the RCD, causing electric shocks during showers, then I pray that this is exposed. However this happened, God will show the truth. The landlord is avoiding me and is not willing to speak to me. NO REMORSE! Please pray that the Holy Spirit touches him so that he stops lying and takes responsibility!

These people have not apologised to me or compensated me after nearly three months of moving out. Please pray. May God break their hardness. May they have a heart of flesh. May they hear His call. May they submit to Him.

We join you in prayer and thank God with you that He preserved your life through that dangerous electrical problem and brought you safely out of that apartment, for we know that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all Psalm 34:19 and that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1. We hear the distress and fear you have carried for months, the signs that someone may have entered your home, the shocks you suffered, the avoidance and lack of remorse from your former landlord, and now the aggressive accusations from this woman who claims you entered their house when you have not, and we stand with you to seek the Spirit of truth whom Jesus promised would guide us into all truth John 16:13.

We want to encourage you to continue to trust the Lord as your protector and your defender while also taking wise and lawful steps. If you genuinely believe that the heating system was tampered with and that the RCD was disconnected to cause harm, and that your former dwelling was entered unlawfully, we encourage you to document everything carefully and to bring these matters to the proper authorities who are appointed to investigate such things, for the authorities are God's servant for justice Romans 13:4. We also gently caution you not to let fear or suspicion settle into your heart as certainty about motives you cannot fully know, for the Lord says do not be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known Luke 8:17 and again there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and nothing hidden that will not be known Luke 12:2, so we trust that what was done in secret will be exposed in God's perfect timing and way, whether by His conviction or by lawful investigation.

We also hear your righteous desire for truth and accountability, and we agree that lying, hardness of heart, and any intentional harm are serious before God. We rebuke any deceit, any arrogance, and any abuse, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble James 4:6 and a lying tongue is an abomination to Him Proverbs 12:22. At the same time we are called not to avenge ourselves, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19, and we are called to bless those who persecute us and to overcome evil with good Romans 12:14, Romans 12:21, which does not mean we excuse wrongdoing but that we entrust justice to God while praying for repentance.

We lift you and all involved before the Father in Jesus' name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father John 14:6 and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and we thank Him that you have called upon that name.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we thank You that You kept this dear one alive when electricity threatened his life, that not one bone was broken by Your mercy, and that You delivered him out of that place. We ask now for Your continued protection, for You are faithful, who will establish and guard from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and we ask that You command Your angels concerning him to guard him in all his ways Psalm 91:11. Lord, You see all hearts and You test the mind and the heart Jeremiah 17:10 and no creature is hidden from Your sight, but all things are naked and laid open before Your eyes Hebrews 4:13, so we ask that You reveal the truth about what happened in that apartment, whether there was negligence or intentional tampering with the heating and the RCD, and about who entered the dwelling. Let what was done in darkness be brought to light, and let justice be done according to Your righteousness.

We pray for the former landlord, that You would convict him of any lying and avoidance and soften his heart, and for this woman who has acted aggressively and abusively with false accusations, that You would break her arrogance and evil and bring her to humility and repentance. We ask that You give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them, that You take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26, that they may hear Your call, submit to You, confess the truth, apologize and make restitution where it is due. We pray for the residents of that house, that their eyes would be opened to see the truth, that they would not believe lies or spread them, for You desire truth in the inward being Psalm 51:6. Give our brother peace that guards his heart, wisdom to know what steps to take with authorities and with records, and grace to forgive as You forgave us Ephesians 4:32, while still seeking what is right and true. Let affliction not slay the wicked without opportunity to repent, but let Your goodness lead them to repentance Romans 2:4, and let the righteous rejoice in Your deliverance. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We have been sitting with your story and we are so thankful you survived that dangerous electrical situation and were able to move out. To live for months with that kind of risk, to wonder if someone had been in your apartment, and then to be shouted at by someone you had never even spoken to with false accusations about you would leave anyone feeling shaken and unsafe. It makes sense you are carrying fear and many unanswered questions.

We are praying with you for protection and for truth to be made clear in God's timing, and for your own peace while you wait. We hear your longing that those involved would take responsibility and that their hearts would be softened toward the Lord.

In this season it can help to keep clear, steady boundaries around any contact. We would encourage you not to meet with the former landlord or that neighbor alone, to keep any necessary communication in writing, and to keep simple dated notes of what has happened and what was said. Having one or two trusted people who know the situation and can be with you or speak with you if contact is needed can make a real difference. If you continue to feel threatened, please reach out to a trusted pastor or advocate and to local authorities who can help you think through next steps for your safety. You do not have to sort this out by yourself.

Father, in Jesus' name we ask You to cover our friend with Your protection and give steady peace day by day. Bring what needs to be known into Your light, work in the hearts of all involved toward honesty, and give our friend wisdom and faithful support close by for each decision ahead. Amen.

Your heavy trial has been brought before the Lord with much prayer, and we join you in seeking His face for truth, protection and mercy.

We give thanks with you that the Lord delivered you from that life threatening danger in your rented apartment. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all, and He who kept you then is able to keep you still. When the heart is full of fear lest men should do us harm, we hear the gracious word which runs so plentifully through Scripture, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God. Fear dishonors God when it forgets the arm which piled the heavens, and fear weakens the soul, but perfect love casts out fear, and faith in the living Christ, who was dead and is alive for evermore, is the cure for trembling.

You speak of what may have been done in secret, of locks moved and of a heating system and safety devices tampered with, and of an angry accusation brought against you by one you had not spoken to before. Only God knows what is in the heart and what the intention has been. Vengeance belongs to Him, and He will bring hidden things to light in His own time and way. We do not ask the Lord to take sides in mere suspicion, but we do ask Him to show the truth, to expose what is evil if evil has been done, and to vindicate what is upright. If wrong has been committed against you, we pray that it will be made plain by lawful and orderly means, and that those responsible will be brought to take responsibility.

We pray also for those of whom you complain. We ask the Holy Spirit to work upon the landlord who avoids you and will not speak, that hardness of heart may be broken and a heart of flesh given in place of a heart of stone, that lying may be forsaken and the fear of the Lord, which is holy reverence and awe, may come upon him. We pray for the woman who has spoken abusively and arrogantly against you, that her pride may be humbled and her tongue restrained, not that she may be destroyed, but that she may be brought to see her need of forgiveness through the precious blood of Christ. For there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only as we are forgiven that we learn to fear God aright and to love our neighbor.

We pray for you, that persecution in whatever form it comes, whether by slander or cruel mocking or venomous spite, may not drive you from God but nearer to Him. How many prayers have been offered as the result of persecution that would never have been offered else. May this affliction teach you to say, the Lord will perfect that which concerneth me, and to rest your whole weight upon the everlasting arches of divine mercy which can and will sustain you.

We entreat the Lord to keep you in perfect peace, to guard your dwelling and your going out and coming in, to give you wisdom to act prudently and to seek the proper help of those in authority where life and safety are concerned, and to keep you from the snare of the fear of man. Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling, kissing the Son and putting your trust wholly in Him.

May the Lord grant that truth be revealed, that justice be done with mercy, that those who have done wrong may come to repentance, and that you may be delivered from all tormenting fear and be kept blameless in Christ until He shall present you faultless before His presence.

We commend you to Him who hears the cry of the lowly and exalts the lowly tree, praying in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and righteousness. Amen.

Your request has been heard and brought before the Lord with care. We thank God with you that He preserved your life through that dangerous electrical fault and brought you safely out of that apartment, and we continue to pray for your protection and peace.

We understand how deeply unsettling it is to live with the memory of danger in your own home, and then to face angry accusations and the sense that you are being spoken against falsely. The Lord sees what is hidden and knows what is in every heart. As you quoted, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. God is the true judge, and He will bring truth to light in His time.

We will pray that the truth about what happened in that apartment is made clear, and that if any wrong was done intentionally, it will be exposed. At the same time Scripture warns us how serious false accusation is, both to suffer it and to make it. Envy and plotting and false charges bring great harm, and every idle word will be accounted for before God. Since only God knows the intentions of hearts, we must ask Him to guard us from returning accusation for accusation, and to keep us from asserting as certain what we cannot know for sure. This protects your own soul from anxiety and bitterness, and leaves room for God to act justly.

We also hear your pain that no apology or responsibility has been shown. It is right to pray for those who have wronged you, not to ask God to bless wrongdoing, but to ask Him to break hardness of heart and grant repentance. So we pray for the landlord and for the woman who confronted you, and for all residents of that house. We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict where there has been lying or evasion, soften hearts of stone into hearts of flesh, bring an end to arrogance and abusive speech, and lead them to speak truth and take responsibility where it is due. We pray also that God would restrain all evil and keep you safe from further harm.

For you we pray for deliverance from fear and for a quiet heart. The life that seeks order and temperance and trust in God is even here freed from much anxiety and turmoil, and we ask the Lord to give you that peace, to heal the distress of these months, and to help you to entrust vengeance to Him while seeking what is wise and lawful for your safety. If you remain in any danger, please also seek appropriate help from trusted people and lawful authorities, while continuing to cast your cares upon Christ.
