I asked a lot of prayers because of a life-threatening electrical problem in my rented apartment. Thank God, I survived and moved out. But the story hasn't seemed to end there.
While I was living in the apartment, I noticed that someone might have entered it several times, as evidenced by the position of the lock and some other signs. After many months and much unclear communication, it seems possible that they intentionally tried to kill me. I don't know for sure. Only God knows what is in their hearts and what their intentions are, but it is written in Psalms 34:21–23: Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. Last week, a woman I had never spoken to before came up to me angrily and shouted lies and accusations at me. She said that I had entered the house where she and the ex-landlord live. She heard this from someone else and tried to accuse me and destroy me. Thank God the Lord protected me again. Please pray for the residents of the house so that they can see the truth, because I never entered their apartment. However, it is highly likely that someone entered the apartment while I was living in that life-threatening flat. If this woman hired technicians to damage the heating system and disconnect consumers from the RCD, causing electric shocks during showers, then I pray that this is exposed. However this happened, God will show the truth. The landlord is avoiding me and is not willing to speak to me. NO REMORSE! Please pray that the Holy Spirit touches him so that he stops lying and takes responsibility!

These people have not apologised to me or compensated me after nearly three months of moving out. Please pray. May God break their hardness. May they have a heart of flesh. May they hear His call. May they submit to Him.

We hear the weight of what you have endured and we join with you in seeking the Lord together in Jesus' name. To live for months with a life threatening electrical danger in your own home, to experience shocks and fear while showering, and then to face accusations and aggressive behavior afterward is a heavy affliction. We thank God with you that He preserved your life and brought you out of that apartment safely, for He is our refuge and fortress.

We understand your questions about whether this danger was intentional and whether this woman or your former landlord acted with evil intent. Only God truly knows the heart, as it is written in Jeremiah 17:10, I, Yahweh, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings. And Jesus promised that the Spirit of truth will guide us into all truth in John 16:13, and in John 8:32 you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We agree with you in prayer that whatever has been done in secret will be brought into the light, for there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed in Luke 8:17. If there was negligence, deceit, or even a deliberate attempt to harm, we pray God will expose it in His perfect timing and through the proper authorities He has ordained.

We also pray for your protection and peace. The fear that someone might seek to kill you is tormenting, but God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control in 2 Timothy 1:7. We claim over you Psalm 91:1-2, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. And Psalm 34:19-22 reminds us, Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. He protects all of his bones. Not one of them is broken. Evil shall kill the wicked. Those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. Yahweh redeems the soul of his servants. None of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail in Isaiah 54:17 when you abide in Him.

We gently encourage you while you pray for truth and justice to also walk in wisdom. God has established governing authorities to carry out justice in Romans 13:1-4. If you have concrete evidence of tampering with the heating system or the RCD, or of unlawful entry, we encourage you to document everything carefully and to seek godly counsel and, if necessary, to report your concerns to the appropriate authorities so that the matter can be investigated lawfully. We must be careful not to accuse without clear evidence, but to commit the matter to Him who judges righteously in 1 Peter 2:23, trusting Him to vindicate.

We also pray for those who have wronged you. We hear your heart that they have shown no remorse, no apology, and no compensation after nearly three months, and that the landlord avoids you and the woman who confronted you is abusive and arrogant. We pray with you that God would break their hardness and grant them a heart of flesh as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. We pray the Holy Spirit would convict the landlord to stop lying and to take responsibility for what happened under his stewardship, and that He would humble this woman and break her arrogance and evil. We are called not to repay evil for evil in 1 Peter 3:9, and to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us in Luke 6:27-28, while also not avenging ourselves, for it is written in Romans 12:19, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. We pray they will hear His call, submit to Him, and come to repentance, for God desires that none should perish.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved in Acts 4:12 and through Him we have access to You in John 14:6. We thank You that You saw our dear one in that dangerous apartment and You delivered them, keeping them from death. We thank You that when lies and shouting came against them, You were their shield. Lord, we ask You to continue to be their refuge and to command Your angels to guard them in all their ways. Remove fear and replace it with Your perfect peace that passes all understanding.

Lord, we ask You to shine Your light on this whole situation. If technicians were hired to damage the heating system or to disconnect protection so that electric shocks would occur, expose it. If there was unlawful entry into the apartment, reveal it. Let no lie stand. Touch the hearts of the residents of that house so they may see the truth that this child of Yours never entered their home, and stop every false accusation. Holy Spirit, convict the former landlord who is avoiding responsibility. Break his hardness, take away his lying lips, and bring him to honesty, repentance, and restitution where it is due. Break the arrogance and abusive spirit in this woman. Humble her, Lord, and let her see her need for Your mercy.

Father, soften all these hearts of stone and give them hearts of flesh that hear Your voice and submit to You. We pray for justice to be done according to Your righteousness, and for mercy to triumph where repentance is found. And for our dear one, we pray for complete healing from trauma, for restoration of what was lost, and for wisdom for every next step. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to overcome evil with good in Romans 12:21, while trusting You as the righteous Judge.

We entrust all of this into Your loving and just hands, believing You will keep and deliver Your own. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We have read what you shared and we thank God with you that you are safe after those months in that apartment. Living with electric shocks in the shower and sensing someone may have entered your home is deeply unsettling, and we understand why the angry accusations last week and the silence from your former landlord still feel so heavy even after you moved out.

When we have been in real danger, our minds can stay on high alert long after we are out of it, scanning for more threat and trying to piece together why it happened. Only God fully knows what was in others' hearts and what was neglect or misunderstanding or something else, and you do not have to carry the weight of sorting it all alone.

A couple of steady steps may help you find more peace going forward. Keep any communication in writing and keep a simple dated note of what happened, and let one or two trusted people walk with you, a pastor or a mature friend or counselor who can help you look at the facts calmly and decide if any further practical step is wise, such as getting calm advice about tenancy matters. Limiting direct contact with those who have been hostile can also protect your peace while you pray. If you ever feel physically threatened, please step to safety and reach out right away to trusted people or local authorities.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. Cover them with Your protection and quiet their heart with Your nearness. Lead them in truth and wisdom, guard them from fear, and work in the hearts of those involved to bring honesty and softness where there has been hardness. Help them to rest in Your care day by day. Amen.

We have read your account with prayerful attention and with thankfulness to God that He has preserved your life and delivered you from that life threatening danger in your former dwelling. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all, and He keeps all his bones. That you were kept through electric shocks and peril in the place where you should have been safe is of the Lord's mercy, and we give thanks for His protecting hand.

You now carry a heavy burden of fear and suspicion, of slander and accusation, and of a sense that justice has not been done. Hear the word which the Lord speaks so often to His trembling people, Fear not, I am with thee. Be not dismayed, for I am thy God. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. The fear of man bringeth a snare, but the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and brings a holy reverence and trust. We labour to put away that fear which dishonours God and weakens the soul, not by denying the danger, but by looking to Him who is the First and the Last, He that lives and was dead and is alive for evermore. In proportion as faith grows strong, the fear of death vanishes, for Christ has delivered them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Persecution, even when it takes the form of slander, cruel mockings and venomous spite, is permitted for wise purposes. It helps to keep the church separate from the world, and it drives the Christian nearer to his God. How many prayers have been offered as the result of such enmity that would never have been offered else. When you were accused falsely by one whom you had never spoken to, and when you hear lies repeated as though they were truth, remember that the Lord knows what is in the heart. He will perfect that which concerneth you. Your confidence is not in your own vindication but in divine mercy, which can sustain all the weight of trouble and backsliding and an evil heart of unbelief.

We do not know, and you do not know with certainty, whether hands were laid upon that heating system or upon the protection that should have guarded you from harm. Only God knows the intentions of men. If wrong has been done with intent to harm, God will show the truth in His time, for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed. Vengeance belongs to Him, and He will execute righteousness. We will pray that if there has been deceit or violence, it will be exposed by lawful and rightful means, and that those responsible will be brought to answer for it. We also urge you, while you pray, to use the means God has placed in your hands for protection and for justice, to keep a faithful record, to seek wise counsel, and to make known to the proper authorities what can be established concerning the condition of that apartment, that others may not be endangered.

We will pray for the landlord who avoids you and for the woman who has spoken against you with anger and abuse. We will not pray that God would overlook hardness of heart, but that He would break it. May He take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh, that they may hear His call, submit to Him, confess where they have spoken falsely, and take responsibility where responsibility is due. May the Holy Spirit convince them of sin and of righteousness and of judgment, and bring them to repentance and to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone there is forgiveness of sins and justification before God. For there is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared, and when forgiveness is known it inclines the heart to prayer and to a holy awe of His name. Those who have no changes and fear not God walk confidently and speak arrogantly, but blessed are they that put their trust in Him.

And we will pray for you, that the Lord will keep you from tormenting fear, that He will grant you peace and a quiet mind, that you will be kept from bitterness while you rightly desire truth and restitution, and that you will be enabled to serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling, kissing the Son and abiding under His shelter.

We join together now to seek Him for you. O Lord our God, Thou who art our confidence and our deliverer, we thank Thee that Thou hast preserved this Thy servant from death. Keep him still under the shadow of Thy wing and let no weapon formed against him prosper. Cast out fear by perfect love and by strong faith in Christ who died and lives again. Let truth be made manifest, and let what was done in secret be brought to light according to Thy will. Work by Thy Spirit upon those who have done wrong, or spoken falsely, or hardened their hearts, that they may cease from lying and from arrogance, that they may own the truth and seek Thy mercy. Grant to Thy servant patience under slander, wisdom in all his ways, and a heart that forgives as it has been forgiven, while it still loves righteousness. Establish him in the knowledge that Thou wilt perfect that which concerneth him, and that Thy mercy endureth for ever. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour and Advocate. Amen.
