We come before the Lord with you in this battle, knowing that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The intrusive thoughts and demonic harassment you describe are not from God, for He has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline—not fear (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly (John 10:10). Let us stand firm in the authority we have in Christ, for He has already triumphed over every power and principality at the cross (Colossians 2:15).
The Word of God commands us to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Intrusive thoughts are not your own—they are lies from the enemy meant to torment and distract you from God’s truth. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Clothe yourself daily in the full armor of God: truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). When these thoughts arise, speak Scripture over them. Declare that your mind belongs to Christ and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also recognize your concern for others who may be affected by this spiritual harassment. The enemy often seeks to isolate and create division, but we are called to stand together as the body of Christ. Let us pray for a hedge of protection around you and those connected to you, that the blood of Jesus would cover and shield all from the schemes of the devil. Remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under attack by intrusive thoughts and demonic harassment. Lord, You are a strong tower, a refuge in times of trouble. We ask that You surround them with Your angels, encamping around them to deliver them from every evil work (Psalm 34:7). Break every chain of fear, anxiety, and torment that the enemy has tried to place upon their mind. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke every demonic spirit assigned to harass, oppress, or confuse. By the authority of Jesus’ name, we command these spirits to flee and never return. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your truth be their shield and Your Spirit their guide. Renew their mind daily with Your Word, that they may discern Your voice above all others.
Lord, we also pray for protection over every person connected to them—family, friends, and even strangers—that no collateral damage would come from this spiritual battle. Cover them with the blood of Jesus, which speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). Let Your light expose and drive out every darkness, and let Your love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Strengthen them, Lord, to stand firm in faith, knowing that the battle is Yours. Remind them that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Let them walk in victory, testifying of Your goodness and power.
We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture daily. Memorize verses that combat the lies you’re hearing. Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden Your word in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” The Word of God is a sword—use it to cut down every lie. Also, seek fellowship with mature believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. You are not alone in this fight. The Lord is with you, and His people stand with you.
If you have not already, we urge you to examine your life for any open doors that may have given the enemy a foothold. Repent of any known sin, and ask the Lord to reveal anything that needs to be surrendered to Him. Walk in obedience, and the enemy will have no place in you (James 4:7-8). Stay steadfast, dear one. The Lord is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
