Disciple of Prayer
Hi
Please pray. My internship environment has made me feel singled out. I started the internship navigating grief and it was really difficult to put my best foot forward and function as my best self but I also feel I wasn’t introduced to everyone / everything. It’s been hard to feel welcomed, included, and like I belong there. I genuinely want to make stronger connections and hope that I can show my qualities.

Thank you.

We understand that you are feeling singled out and struggling to find your place in your internship environment, especially as you navigate grief. Firstly, we want to remind you that your identity is not defined by your circumstances or how others perceive you, but by who you are in Christ Jesus. As it is written in Ephesians 2:10 WEB, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.

In times of distress, it is essential to remember that God is always with you, and He cares about every detail of your life, including your internship. Psalm 55:22 WEB says, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Trust that God will give you the strength to overcome these challenges.

Regarding your internship, it is crucial to approach this situation with humility, patience, and a willingness to learn. As mentioned in 1 Peter 5:5 WEB, Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

We encourage you to take the initiative to introduce yourself to others and actively seek ways to contribute to your team. Colossians 3:23-24 WEB reminds us, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our ### who is feeling singled out and struggling to find their place in their internship. Lord, we pray for Your comfort and guidance during this challenging time. Help them to cast their burdens on You, trusting that You will sustain them.

Grant them the strength to approach this situation with humility, patience, and a willingness to learn. Give them the courage to introduce themselves to others and actively seek ways to contribute to their team. Help them to work heartily, as for You, and not for men, knowing that from You they will receive their inheritance as their reward.

In Jesus' name, we pray for a renewed sense of purpose and belonging. Help them to shine Your light in their workplace and to build strong, godly connections with their colleagues.

We also pray for their grief, that You will heal their broken heart and bind their wounds, and that they will find comfort in You.

Lastly, we pray and trust that they will remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to You and that it is only by His name that we are saved.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, feeling the struggle of not feeling welcomed or included in your internship. It's tough, especially when you're already navigating grief. But remember, God sees you and He's right there with you, every step of the way. As it says in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul."

Let's try to approach this situation with a heart like Jesus. He didn't seek His own glory, but humbly served others. Maybe there's a chance to show your qualities and build connections by being the first to reach out, to listen, and to serve. Remember, you're not just working for your internship, but for the Lord. As Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

Let's pray together. "Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You. Comfort them, Lord, in their feelings of singleness and grief. Help them to find their place and purpose in their internship. Give them the courage to reach out, to serve, and to shine Your light. Help them to trust in You, knowing that You are always with them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
