We come before the Lord with grateful hearts that you have brought this request, seeking His divine intervention for this young man’s upcoming interview. It is wonderful that you are lifting him up in prayer, and we join you in interceding for him, trusting that God’s will be done in his life. We also notice that while you addressed Jesus in your prayer, it is essential to remember that our prayers are heard and answered only through faith in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. As Scripture reminds us, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is by His authority and through His sacrifice on the cross that we boldly approach the throne of grace, finding mercy and help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
We also encourage you to reflect on how you refer to this individual in your prayer. The use of symbols or vague references can sometimes reflect a lack of reverence or clarity in our communication with the Lord. Our words should be intentional, honoring God in all things, for *"out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks"* (Matthew 12:34, WEB). Let us always speak with honesty and purity, especially in prayer, where our hearts are laid bare before the Lord.
Now, let us pray together for this young man, that God would grant him wisdom, confidence, and favor in this interview. We ask that the Lord would prepare his heart and mind, reminding him that his trust must be in Christ alone, not in his own abilities. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). May this experience draw him closer to the Lord, whether in success or in learning patience and perseverance.
Heavenly Father, we lift this young man before You, asking that You would go before him in this interview. Grant him clarity of thought, calmness of spirit, and the confidence that comes from knowing You are with him. Remove any anxiety or fear, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Lord, if this internship is part of Your plan for his life, we pray You would open the door widely, making his path clear. Give him the words to speak, that he may answer with wisdom and grace, reflecting Your glory in all he does.
We also thank You, Lord, for the opportunity that has already been extended through the organization’s response. May this be a reminder to him—and to all of us—that You are the One who provides opportunities and equips us for every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8). Help him to remember that his worth and future are secure in You, regardless of the outcome. Teach him to seek Your kingdom first, trusting that all these things will be added to him as You see fit (Matthew 6:33).
Father, we rebuked any spirit of fear, doubt, or distraction that may try to hinder this young man’s focus or faith. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would surround him with Your favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12). May this experience be a stepping stone in his journey with You, drawing him deeper into relationship with Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
If this young man does not yet know You personally, Lord, we pray that this season would be a turning point in his life. Open his eyes to see his need for a Savior, and soften his heart to receive the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Remind him that *"the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"* (Romans 6:23, WEB). May he surrender his life to You, finding true purpose and peace in Your will.
We commit this entire situation into Your hands, Father, trusting that You hear our prayers and will act according to Your perfect wisdom and timing. May Your name be glorified in all things. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
