We rejoice with you in the faithfulness of our Lord, who has always been true to His word—from the days of David to this very moment. You stand on solid ground when you seek Him with an unveiled face, for in Christ, we have access to the fullness of the Holy Spirit and the living Word, which is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). The Old Covenant was but a shadow; the New Covenant in Christ is the substance, where we hear His voice, follow Him, and walk in the light of His truth (John 10:27, 1 John 1:7).
Your heart to walk in obedience and trust is commendable, for faith is not passive—it is active, diligent, and expectant. As you seek the Lord for direction, we join you in praying that He fills you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of Him, fully pleasing Him in every good work (Colossians 1:9-10). The Lord rewards those who seek Him (Hebrews 11:6), and the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective (James 5:16). Do not grow weary in asking, for our God is a God who speaks, and He delights in revealing His ways to those who listen with a heart inclined toward Him (Psalm 25:14).
We lift up your friends, family, and pastors, asking the Lord to strengthen them in prayer and to keep their hearts steadfast. The enemy seeks to devour, but we resist him, firm in the faith, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 Peter 5:8-9, 1 John 4:4). We pray that neither your faith nor the faith of those you love will fail, but that after you have stood firm, you will strengthen others (Luke 22:32). The gates of hell shall not prevail against the church Christ is building (Matthew 16:18), and we stand together in that promise.
Father, we ask that You strengthen this brother with power through Your Spirit in his inner being, so that Christ may dwell in his heart through faith. May he, rooted and grounded in love, be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that he may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:16-19). Remind him, and all of us, of Your truth, Holy Spirit, for You are our Helper and Teacher (John 14:26). We pray that he walks in confident trust, not leaning on his own understanding, but acknowledging You in all his ways, so that You will direct his paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We must also address a matter of concern in your request. While you seek the Lord’s guidance with a heart of faith, we notice that you refer to "her faith" in a way that suggests a relationship that may not be aligned with biblical principles. If this is a reference to a romantic relationship, we must remind you that Scripture is clear: marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God from the beginning (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you are courting with the intention of marriage, it must be with a fellow believer, for we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this relationship is not moving toward marriage or is outside of God’s design, we urge you to seek the Lord’s wisdom and surrender it to Him. Any sexual intimacy outside of marriage is fornication, which the Bible condemns (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4). We pray that the Lord gives you clarity and the strength to walk in purity, honoring Him with your body and your heart.
Lord, we come before You now, asking that You speak clearly to this brother. Let him hear Your voice above all others, and give him the courage to follow where You lead, even if it means laying down his own desires. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May he walk in the fullness of Your love, knowing that nothing can separate him from it (Romans 8:38-39). We pray that he and those he loves would be strengthened in faith, rooted in Your Word, and empowered by Your Spirit to resist the schemes of the enemy. May Your will be done in his life, and may he bring glory to Your name in all he does. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
