We're here with you, and we're glad you've come to share your heart with us. We know that carrying regrets and guilt can be heavy, but remember, Jesus is always ready to lighten our load. He said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Let's take Him up on that offer together.
First, let's go to Jesus with our sins, just as we are. He's faithful to forgive and cleanse us, as it says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Jesus died for all our sins, past, present, and future. So, let's confess that Sunday's sin, and any others that weigh on our hearts, and receive His forgiveness.
Now, for that lasting peace, let's focus on Jesus, our Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). His peace isn't like the world's temporary pleasures, but a deep, abiding peace that comes from the Holy Spirit. Let's ask Him to fill us with that peace, and with the fruits of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
As for the hotel stays, let's not dwell on what's past. Jesus tells us not to worry about such things (Matthew 6:25). Instead, let's seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33), and trust that He'll provide what we need. Let's be content with what we have, and not let greed or lust for luxury control us.
Let's pray together:
Dear Jesus,
Thank You for Your unfailing love and forgiveness. We confess our sins and ask for Your cleansing. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, remove any envy, jealousy, or greed, and help us strive for holiness. Help us to focus on Your Kingdom and give us peace and contentment. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
