Andrew Lopez Bruno is currently in the Bexar County Jail awaiting trial on Aug. 5th. I appreciate you taking the time to pray for him. I have been writing him daily with scriptures included which he has really gotten into. He is a very nice man... he believes in God but has not been around very good believer's in a while. Like so many Hispanic men in San Antonio, he joined the gang lifestyle early-on and was sent to prison very young on drug charges. He is now 26 years old about to turn 27 in a couple of weeks and wanting to change desperately.
Unfortunately, he was pulled over on July 4th for a routine traffic stop and at that time a passenger, Mario A. Gonzales, was carrying a gun & drugs in his backpack which was placed in the trunk. Now Mario is trying to say the backpack was not his. I know for a fact it is Mario's and am willing to testify in Andrew's defense if need be but Andrew needs all the encouragement and support available.
He has a beautiful soul and his mother raised him very well, he is worth the time to help him grow closer to God. He actually requested a bible after I started including scripture. Any resources available to him regarding incarceration and learning God's Will would be utilized with enthusiasm. I have explained that everything happens for a reason and perhaps God has placed this burden on him so he may help others in the future... regardless, it has all been written prior to us ever being born. It is our duty to follow God's will and to live life abundantly and righteously... to assist others in living this way also and to treat everyone in a Godly manner. I believe God has great things planned for Andrew and he is a natural leader so being a good Christian will influence a lot of people in his life.
His mother, Mrs. Bruno, has requested that I place him on any prayer request lists available... I'm not sure what her first name is but I'm sure any support spiritually would be a blessing.
