We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your needs to our Heavenly Father, who indeed knows what we require before we even ask. We are grateful that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Father, we pray for your provision in finding secure and inexpensive accommodations for this season. You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your faithfulness to meet every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Guide the steps of Your servant to a place that is safe, peaceful, and conducive to the work You have called them to do. May this temporary dwelling be a sanctuary where they can rest, reflect, and prepare for the next steps You have ordained.
We also lift up the practical matters of tying up loose ends and establishing new processes. Lord, grant wisdom and clarity as these tasks are undertaken. Your Word tells us that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach (James 1:5). We ask for Your divine insight and favor in every endeavor, that all may be accomplished with excellence and in a manner that honors You.
For the longer-term place and the pursuit of formal study and biblical counseling, we pray for open doors and divine connections. May the hearts of those who can assist with finances, admissions, and opportunities be inclined toward Your will. We declare that the steps of a good person are ordered by You, Lord, and You delight in their way (Psalm 37:23). Confirm the path ahead, and let Your peace guard every decision.
We are especially mindful of the request for Your work in the hearts of this marriage. Father, marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that You would heal any brokenness, restore love and unity, and draw both husband and wife closer to You and to one another. Guard their hearts from temptation, evil influences, and the schemes of the enemy. Let Your Word dwell richly in them, guiding their thoughts, words, and actions. May they seek You first in all things, and may their marriage be a testimony of Your grace and redemption.
We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or ungodly influence that may seek to disrupt this marriage. We stand on Your promise that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).
Lord, we also pray for protection over their family, friends, and partners. Keep them from evil and temptation, and surround them with Your angels to guard and guide them. Deliver them from the evil one and from those who would seek to harm them. Your Word assures us that the one who is in us is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4), and we claim that victory in the name of Jesus.
We pray for the pursuit of biblical counseling and formal study, that it would not only be a time of learning but also of transformation. May Your Holy Spirit illuminate the Scriptures, bringing revelation, conviction, and a deeper love for Your truth. Equip Your servant with the knowledge, discernment, and compassion needed to minister to others, always pointing them to the hope found in Christ alone.
Father, we ask that You would go before them in every aspect of this journey. Let Your presence be their comfort, Your Word their guide, and Your Spirit their strength. May they walk in the fullness of Your purpose, bringing glory to Your name in all they do.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
