We rejoice with you in giving thanks for the provision of income, for it is the Lord who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. How wonderful it is to acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow (James 1:17). Your gratitude is a pleasing aroma to the Lord, and we join you in lifting up praise for His faithfulness.
Yet, as we give thanks, let us also remember that our trust must never rest in the gift but in the Giver. The Lord calls us to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). Income is a tool for stewardship, not an end in itself. We are to use it wisely, generously, and for the glory of God, remembering that where our treasure is, there our heart will be also (Matthew 6:21). Are you honoring the Lord with your finances, tithing faithfully, and supporting the work of the Kingdom? These are questions we must all ask ourselves, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7), and we are accountable for how we manage what He has entrusted to us.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the income You have provided. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we thank You for Your unfailing faithfulness. Lord, we ask that You grant wisdom and discernment in how this income is used. May it be a blessing not only to those who have received it but also to others through generosity and good stewardship. Help us to remember that all we have belongs to You, and we are merely stewards of Your resources.
We pray that this income will be used to advance Your Kingdom, to support the needs of the church, and to bless those in need. Guard our hearts from greed, from trusting in wealth, or from finding security in anything other than You. Teach us to be content in all circumstances, whether in abundance or in need, knowing that You are our sufficiency (Philippians 4:11-13).
Father, if there are any among us who have not been faithful in tithing or giving, convict their hearts and lead them to obedience. Remind us all that You cannot be mocked; whatever a man sows, he will also reap (Galatians 6:7). May our finances be a testament to our trust in You, and may we always seek to honor You in every area of our lives.
We ask these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, through whom all blessings flow. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue in a spirit of thankfulness, but also to examine your heart and your motives. Are you using your income in a way that reflects your love for God and your neighbor? Are you saving and planning wisely for the future while also being open-handed toward those in need? Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9). May the Lord continue to bless you as you walk in obedience and faith.
