In what ways have we seen the impact of slander or gossip in our own life or in our community?

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been lifting up your reflection from Psalm 140:11 and your prayer for strength and protection in times of battle. We have asked the Lord to guard our hearts and tongues from slander and gossip, to heal the wounds that false words have caused in our own lives and in our communities, and to let truth and peace prevail where lies and violence have sought to bring harm. We have prayed that those who spread slander would not be established and that God in His justice and mercy would protect the innocent and bring accountability, as David prayed, and we have asked Him to help us walk in the example of Jesus who answered slander with truth and grace and overcame evil with love. We continue to stand on the promise that God sees every hurtful word and that we will give account for our words before Him as written in Matthew 12:36, and that He is our refuge and strength in every battle.

If your request was answered and you have seen God bring healing to relationships wounded by gossip, silence slander, restore reputation, or give you peace and strength to guard your own words, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you are still carrying the pain of slander or struggling against gossip and violence around you, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We pray that the Lord would keep your tongue from evil and your lips from lies, that He would be your shield and fortress in every trial, and that He would help you and our community to pursue truth, love and peace. We ask for His protection over you and for His justice to be revealed in His perfect time. We pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
