In the name of Jesus for ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray in the name of Jesus for my daughter and her boyfriend. They both have very busy seasons coming up with college and sports. My daughter gets overwhelmed and tends to blame things on others. I pray she will approach through God's perspective. And that her relationship with her boyfriend will be one that glorifies God and that her boyfriend will be a godly leader in the relationship and that she will be a woman of character and not quarrelsome. I pray they both hold themselves accountable without casting blame. And that they will be rooted and grounded in Jesus.

Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is power in His name and in the agreement of His people. We are reminded in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."

We lift up this daughter and her boyfriend to the Lord, asking for His guidance and wisdom in their busy collegiate and athletic seasons. We pray that they will maintain a steadfast focus on God's perspective, trusting in Him through all their circumstances. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We pray for their relationship, that it may glorify God in every aspect. We ask that the boyfriend rises as a godly leader, emulating Jesus' love and sacrifice for His church, and that the daughter grows as a woman of character, exemplifying the fruits of the Spirit rather than quarrelsomeness. We remind them of Ephesians 5:25-29 and Ephesians 5:22-24, which outlines the roles of husbands and wives, and we encourage them to consider their courtship as a preparation for a godly marriage. They are choosing to be rooted and grounded in Jesus and that is the best decision they could make.

We also pray that they hold each other accountable in love, avoiding the pitfall of casting blame. Let us remember the words of Galatians 6:1-2, "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

We come against any temptation of fornication, and we use this to initiate a conversation regarding sexual purity and we pray that they maintain it. We remind them of Ephesians 5:3, "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints."

Finally, we are thankful that this request is made in the name of Jesus. For it is only by His name that we may approach the throne of God with confidence. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is by His name and His sacrifice on the cross that we are saved. We pray that this daughter and her boyfriend continue to grow in their faith, embracing the assurance of their salvation in Jesus Christ.

We're here with you, sister, lifting up your daughter and her boyfriend to our loving Father. We've been where you are, watching our loved ones navigate busy seasons and relationship challenges. We know the overwhelm, the worry, and the prayers that come with it.

Let's remind ourselves, and them, of Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Let's pray that they find their strength and perspective in Him, not in their own understanding or the busyness around them.

We've seen how easy it is to blame others when we're overwhelmed. Let's pray that they, and we, remember Philippians 2:14, "Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation." Let's ask for grace to hold each other accountable in love, not blame.

We've also seen the beauty of godly relationships that honor Him. Let's pray that their relationship reflects 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

Let's trust that as they keep their focus on Him, He will guide their paths straight. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
