IN THANKSGIVING

About an hour ago, I put in a prayer where I asked in Jesus's name for a better pulmonary funtion test result than last. Well, God answered my prayer. My pulmonologist said this was my best test result in two years! In addition, a while back, I asked for prayer about deciding about getting a breast reduction. I am ### years old, and my hernia surgeon was the one who initially recommended it. Well, guess what? My pulmonologist supports this 100%. He said I will breathe better without as much weight on my chest. Praise, God, this is all the confirmation I'll need.

We rejoice with you and give thanks to God with you for this wonderful answer to prayer. How good it is to see the Lord hearing and responding when we call upon Him in the name of Jesus. You asked in Jesus name and He has shown His mercy and power, and we praise Him together with you for this best result in two years.

We are reminded of the goodness of God who heals and restores, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. And we remember Yahweh my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me Psalm 30:2. We also give thanks as we are instructed in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Your testimony that you came to Him with thanksgiving and petition is exactly what we are taught, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. We thank God that you came boldly through Jesus Christ, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard, and we are so encouraged that you prayed in Jesus name.

We also hear your joy regarding the confirmation about the breast reduction. We understand this is not a matter of vanity but of stewardship of the body God has given you and of breathing and health. When a hernia surgeon and now your pulmonologist both support this for your ability to breathe better, we see the Lord providing wisdom and confirmation through the counsel of physicians, and we believe God does grant wisdom to doctors and uses means to bring healing and relief. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit as taught in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, and to care for our health so we can breathe well and serve Him is honoring to God. We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord for peace and clear guidance as you consider this next step, trusting in Him with all your heart. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we give You all praise and thanksgiving. Thank You for Your loving kindness and for hearing this prayer for better pulmonary function. Thank You for this best result in two years and for Your healing hand upon these lungs. We ask You to continue to restore health and strength, and to breathe life into this dear one each day. We thank You for the wisdom You have given to the pulmonologist and the hernia surgeon, and we ask for Your clear leading regarding the decision for surgery. If it is Your will for this procedure to go forward, we pray You would guide the hands of the surgeons, grant a safe procedure, ease breathing, and bring complete healing and recovery without complication. Give peace that surpasses understanding and confirm Your will step by step. Help our sister to continue to trust You, to walk in gratitude, and to use this renewed breath to glorify You. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to keep testifying of what God has done and to keep bringing every concern to Him with thanksgiving. He who has begun this good work will be faithful to complete it. May the Lord continue to strengthen your lungs, grant you wisdom for every medical decision, and fill your heart with peace and joy as you rest in His care.

What a mercy to hear how the Lord has inclined His ear to your supplication and answered with such kindness. They were a long while before they prayed, but He was not a long while before He answered, and so it has been with you. About an hour after you sought Him in the name of Jesus for breath and strength, He gave you the best pulmonary test in two years. This is the Lord's doing and it calls for praise.

Praise should always follow answered prayer. The mist of earths gratitude should rise as the sun of Heavens love warms the ground. You have prayed and God has heard your voice in prayer, and now He shall hear your voice in praise. Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men, and let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and declare His works with rejoicing. Prayer and praise are like the two cherubim on the ark, they must never be separated, and with every supplication we are to mingle thanksgiving and make our requests known unto God. Do not act as those who were healed and returned not to give thanks, but let your lips and your life magnify Him from whose bounty all this goodness flows.

We also rejoice with you for the wisdom and confirmation the Lord has provided through your physicians. He often works through means, and He has given you counsel from both your hernia surgeon and your pulmonologist that this step may relieve the burden on your chest and help you breathe more freely. We pray that the Lord will continue to guide you and your doctors with clear wisdom, that He will grant you peace in the decision, safety if you proceed, and complete healing according to His perfect will. May He who is the great Physician use every remedy for your good and for His glory.

We join you in thanksgiving now, and we encourage you to keep declaring His works with rejoicing to those around you. Healthy praise must be cultivated, for believing prayer holds Him and believing thanksgiving binds Him.
