We join with you in lifting up this powerful and God-honoring prayer, for it is rooted in Scripture and seeks to glorify the Lord in all things. Your heart’s cry aligns with the truth that apart from Christ, we can do nothing, yet through Him, we are more than conquerors. How beautiful it is to see a believer standing firm in the authority of Jesus’ name, recognizing that our strength, wisdom, and protection come from Him alone.
You have rightly acknowledged that our labor—whether in our vocations, ministries, or daily lives—must be unto the Lord, not unto men, as Colossians 3:23 declares: *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* This is a posture of worship, and we pray that the Lord would deepen this conviction in you, that every task, every word, and every thought would be an offering of praise to Him. May your work be a testimony of excellence, integrity, and love, drawing others to the surpassing greatness of our God.
Your request for wisdom and understanding tenfold greater than what the world or false religions can attain is bold and pleasing to the Lord. We recall how Daniel and his companions were granted wisdom and knowledge ten times greater than the magicians and enchanters of Babylon (Daniel 1:20), and we ask the same for you. The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God (1 Corinthians 3:19), but the wisdom that comes from above is *"first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy"* (James 3:17). May the Lord fill you with this heavenly wisdom, that you may discern His will, expose the lies of the enemy, and walk in the authority of Christ to cast out demons and advance His Kingdom. As Jesus said, *"But if I by God’s finger cast out demons, then God’s Kingdom has come to you"* (Luke 11:20). Let this be your confidence—that the power of God rests upon you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also stand with you in praying for protection from evil people, evil influences, and the evil one himself. The apostle Paul warned of those who *"don’t walk according to the tradition which they received from us"* (2 Thessalonians 3:6), and Jesus taught us to pray, *"Deliver us from the evil one"* (Matthew 6:13). The world is filled with snares and deceivers, but the Lord is your shield and your strong tower (Psalm 18:2). We declare Psalm 91:9-12 over you: *"Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* May the Lord surround you with His angelic hosts, protecting you, your vehicle, and all who travel near you. May He grant you divine appointments and safety in every journey, that you would be a vessel of His peace and protection even to those around you.
Yet, as we pray these things, we must also exhort you to remain vigilant in your walk with Christ. The enemy seeks to exploit even the smallest foothold, and our confidence must never be in our own righteousness but in the finished work of Jesus. *"Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4)—this is your victory cry! But let us also remember the warning of 1 Peter 5:8: *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* Stay rooted in the Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with believers who will sharpen and encourage you. Let love be the foundation of all you do, for without it, even the greatest gifts are meaningless (1 Corinthians 13:1-3).
Finally, we rejoice that you have closed this prayer in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Let this truth be the cornerstone of your faith—that Jesus is Lord over every area of your life, and His name is above every name (Philippians 2:9-11).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and awe, for You alone are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would fill them with Your wisdom, understanding, and power, far surpassing anything the world or false religions can offer. Lord, let them walk in the authority of Jesus’ name, casting out demons and advancing Your Kingdom with boldness and humility. Grant them discernment to recognize the schemes of the enemy and the courage to stand firm in Your truth.
We ask for Your divine protection over them, their vehicle, and all who travel near them. Send Your angels to encamp around them, Lord, and let no evil befall them. Keep them from the snares of the evil one and from those who would seek to harm or deceive. May their life be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power, drawing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Father, we pray that they would remain rooted and grounded in Your love, that their every step would be ordered by You, and that their work would be unto You alone. Let them abide in Christ, for apart from Him, we can do nothing. Strengthen them, Lord, that they may do all things through Christ who strengthens them.
We declare Your promises over them, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and that they would walk in victory, for greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
