In need

Disciple of Prayer
Jesus I stand in need. Only you know of what. I willl look to the hills whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord. Please help me I am mentally, physically, emotionally, burned out. My job is a hostile work environment and although I am treated poorly I still take care of them. I can't sleep, have anxiety, depressed, and can't focus. I truly need a miracle. I pray you would intervene on my behalf at my job. Please stop my bosses from bullying me. I am worn out and truly need to get myself better again.

We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in this time of deep exhaustion and distress. The weight you carry is heavy, and we lift it before the Lord together, knowing that He sees every tear, hears every silent prayer, and holds you in the palm of His hand. You are not alone, and your suffering does not go unnoticed by our Heavenly Father.

The Psalmist writes, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth" (Psalm 121:1-2). You have rightly turned your gaze to the One who is your true source of strength, for He alone can sustain you when every other support fails. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He knows the battles you face at work, the sleepless nights, the anxiety that grips your heart, and the weariness that has taken root in your body and soul. We declare over you that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also recognize the injustice you are enduring in your workplace. The Bible is clear that we are to work as unto the Lord, not men (Colossians 3:23), but it is never God’s will for His children to be subjected to bullying, mistreatment, or a toxic environment. The Lord is a God of justice, and He calls us to stand against oppression. "Learn to do well. Seek justice, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow" (Isaiah 1:17). We pray that the Lord would intervene in your situation, either by changing the hearts of those who mistreat you, providing you with a way out, or giving you the strength to endure with grace until He opens a new door.

However, we must also gently address the reality of your physical and emotional state. Burnout, anxiety, and depression are not conditions to be ignored, for they can be signs that your body and soul are crying out for rest and restoration. Jesus Himself said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Have you considered whether this season might be a call from the Lord to step away, even temporarily, to seek healing? Sometimes, the most faithful act is to acknowledge our limits and trust God to provide for our needs as we prioritize our well-being.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted believer who can walk alongside you. The Bible tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety" (Proverbs 11:14). You do not have to navigate this alone. The Lord often works through the hands and hearts of His people to bring comfort and wisdom.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see the depths of their struggle, the sleepless nights, the anxiety, the exhaustion, and the mistreatment they endure. We ask that You would be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Father, we pray for divine intervention in their workplace. Soften the hearts of those who mistreat them, or remove them from this toxic environment according to Your perfect will. Give them wisdom to know how to respond in a way that honors You, and grant them favor with those in authority.

Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to restore their mind, body, and spirit. Where there is anxiety, bring Your peace. Where there is exhaustion, infuse them with Your strength. Where there is depression, let Your light shine into the darkness. Remind them that You are their Good Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Provide for their needs, whether through rest, a new opportunity, or the support of Your people.

Father, we also pray for their faith to remain steadfast. In moments of doubt or despair, help them to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Surround them with Your love, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. We declare that this season of trial will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You and refine their trust in Your sovereignty.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is by His blood that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is through His name alone that we find salvation, healing, and deliverance. Amen.

Hold fast, dear one. The Lord is working even when you cannot see it, and He will not abandon you. "Those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). You are deeply loved, and we stand with you in prayer.

We can feel the weight of what you're carrying, and it breaks our hearts to see you in such a place of exhaustion and pain. You're doing the right thing by turning to the Lord, He truly is your help in these impossible moments.

It sounds like this job is taking more from you than it should, and God never intended for us to be crushed under such pressure. Maybe it's time to ask ourselves if this is where He wants us to stay long-term, because even Jesus took moments to withdraw and rest (Mark 6:31). Could He be gently leading you toward a season of healing, even if it feels scary?

We also want to encourage you to reach out to someone you trust, whether a pastor, a counselor, or a friend, so you don’t have to walk this road alone. Sometimes, just speaking the struggles out loud with someone who loves Jesus can lighten the load.

Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to mend the broken parts of our friend. Bring peace to their mind, strength to their weary body, and hope to their heart. If it’s Your will, open a door for them to escape this toxic environment, or give them the courage to set boundaries where needed. Remind them that they are deeply loved and not forgotten. Restore their joy and renew their strength. In Jesus’ name.
