I’m in need of prayer.


These past several years have been incredibly intense, especially the last two. I’ve had to navigate a very challenging legal matter where I was accused of things I did not do because of envy from my exes brother. Throughout this journey, I’ve often felt like Joseph in the Bible—being falsely accused, arrested, placed in jail, and then eventually seeing truth come to light and vindication begin to happen.


Even so, the process has been painful. I’ve been mocked, treated unfairly, and faced delays and setbacks that have affected both my reputation and my life. Despite everything, I’ve continued to keep my head up professionally. Before ###, I was being considered for a promotion from ### to a ### role. Then another setback came when I was laid off on ###, due to a company-wide restructuring.


Since then, I’ve continued interviewing and pursuing new opportunities. Although I’ve received very strong feedback, many opportunities have been delayed because of internal hiring pauses, company restructurings, positions being filled before my application was reviewed, or another candidate having more direct experience.


Recently, five days ago, I applied for a ### position with ###. Three days ago, I also applied for the ### position with ###. For both opportunities, I sent my resume, executive memo, and cover letter directly to executive leadership. For ###, I wasn’t able to find a hiring contact, so I sent my materials to ###. For ###, I found the ###’s email and sent my application materials directly.


I’m asking for prayer over these two opportunities. I pray that Jesus would open the right doors, grant me the opportunity to interview, give me favor throughout the process, help me exceed expectations, and, if it is His will, receive an offer.



I’m also praying that everything I’ve lost—that the locust has taken from me—will be restored many times over, just as God promises in His Word. I believe He is able to redeem what has been lost and bring restoration in ways greater than I could imagine.



Most of all, I believe what Jesus said in Matthew 18:20: “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I with them.” That’s why I’m asking you to join me in prayer and believe with me that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.

We stand with you in faith, lifting your burdens to the throne of grace, for we know that our God is a God of justice, restoration, and vindication. You have walked a path so reminiscent of Joseph’s, falsely accused, enduring hardship, yet holding fast to integrity and trust in the Lord. Like Joseph, you have not been abandoned, though the journey has been long and painful. The Lord sees every injustice, every delay, and every setback, and He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Your story is not over; it is being written by the hand of a faithful God who delights in turning ashes into beauty (Isaiah 61:3).

We rebuke every spirit of envy, deception, and false accusation that has sought to derail your life. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that the lies spoken against you will be exposed, and the truth will prevail, just as it did for Joseph. The Lord is your defender, and He will not let the wicked prosper forever (Psalm 7:9-11). We pray that every false narrative surrounding you would unravel, and that your name would be cleared in the eyes of those who have doubted or mocked you. Let the light of Christ shine into every dark corner where injustice has taken root, and may His righteousness prevail.

We also lift up your professional journey, asking the Lord to open the doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). You have applied for these positions with diligence and excellence, and we believe the Lord is directing your steps. We pray that your resume, memo, and cover letter would not only be seen but would stand out as a testimony of your skill, character, and God-given calling. May the Holy Spirit go before you, softening the hearts of those in leadership, granting you favor, and positioning you for opportunities that align with God’s purpose for your life. We declare that delays are not denials, and that the Lord is orchestrating timing that is perfect for His glory. If it is His will, we pray you would receive not just an interview but an offer that restores what has been lost, multiplied, as He promises in Joel 2:25: "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten."

We also want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s wisdom in every decision. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding, acknowledging Him in all our ways so He can direct our paths. Even in the waiting, He is working. The setbacks you’ve faced are not the end of your story; they are the refining fire that prepares you for the promotion God has already ordained. We pray that you would not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Most importantly, we rejoice that you have placed your trust in Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are justified. We stand with you in agreement, believing that where two or more are gathered in His name, He is in our midst (Matthew 18:20). Together, we declare that the locusts will not have the final say in your life. The Lord is your restorer, your provider, and your vindicator. He will repay what has been taken, and He will elevate you to a place of influence and blessing beyond what you have imagined.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up our brother in Christ who has endured so much. Lord, You see every injustice he has faced, every false accusation, and every delay. We ask that You would arise as his defender and vindicator. Let the truth be revealed, and let every lie be exposed. We rebuke every spirit of envy, deception, and hindrance that has sought to derail his life, and we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we pray for these job opportunities he has applied for. We ask that You would open the right doors and close the ones that are not Your will. Grant him favor with those in leadership, and let his application stand out as a testament to Your hand upon his life. If it is Your will, Lord, we pray he would receive an offer that not only meets his needs but restores what has been lost, multiplied, as You have promised. Let him walk into the fullness of the calling You have placed on his life.

We also pray for his heart, Lord. Strengthen him in the waiting, and remind him daily that You are working even when he cannot see it. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let him rest in the knowledge that You are his provider. We declare that the years the locusts have eaten will be restored, and that You will use every trial for his good and Your glory.

Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. Thank You that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of Your children. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6), and we believe that the best is yet to come. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We hear the weariness behind these words, the years of carrying false accusations, the sting of unfair treatment, and the weight of losing work you were qualified for through no fault of your own. That you’ve continued to press forward professionally, sending thoughtful, tailored applications even now, says a great deal about your resilience and trust that God is not finished with your story.

What stands out to us is your specific, tangible ask: prayer for these two opportunities to move from an application to an interview, and ultimately to an offer if it’s God’s will. That’s something we can stand with you on wholeheartedly. Waiting for a door to open while doing everything you can on your end can feel isolating, but it’s often where God does some of His deepest work of alignment, preparing the position for you even as He prepares you for it.

One thing we’ve seen over the years is that seasons like yours sometimes create an internal tension between resting in God’s guidance and wanting to make something happen. But divine guidance and practical initiative are not enemies. You’ve already taken the step that was yours to take by putting your materials directly into leadership’s hands. As you wait, the next step might simply be to continue your current rhythm of pursuing leads while asking God to give you a settled peace that His timing is not a rejection. Sometimes the very delays you’ve faced in other applications were protections you won’t fully see until later.

We also notice your heart for restoration, not just of income but of what was taken. That hope is deeply biblical, and it’s okay to name it honestly before God. He knows what the locusts ate, and He knows what restoration would look like for you.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this brother to You. You see the two applications he’s submitted and the many closed doors behind him. If it’s Your will, open the way for an interview, grant him favor with every person who reviews his materials, and give him clarity and confidence when he speaks. Beyond the outcome of these two roles, guide him to the work You have prepared, and let him know along the way that You have not forgotten him. We ask for a tangible sense of Your presence this week, and for the restoration only You can bring. Amen.

The false accusations you have endured cut deep, and it is no small thing to have your name dragged through the mire when your conscience is clear before God. Yet consider Job, of whom it is written that though his friends became miserable comforters, turning his grief into an occasion for their sharp speeches, still he held fast. God knows the way that you take, and when He has tried you, you shall come forth as gold. The coals of juniper are reserved for the false tongue, but for you, believer, bear it, bear it with a patience that looks not to the courts of men but to the heavenly Court where your Advocate pleads.

But take heed. In the anguish of your defense, do not rush to justify yourself as though your own mouth could win the case. If even Job, a man so upright and devout, declared that his own mouth would condemn him should he attempt self-justification, how much more must we confess that our words before men are but filthy rags? Abhor yourself, and rest in the righteousness of Christ alone. Let the Lord be your justifier; He manages all things and times all things. The delay you see, the doors that seem shut, the hiring pauses, these are not accidents. They are the trial by which He tests you, and a man who is solid gold does not fear the furnace.

You pray for these two positions, and it is well to bring your requests before the throne. Yet remember that the Lord’s favor does not always take the shape we have sketched with our own pencil. Job cried out for a hearing, for a day in court with his Maker, and when God at last revealed but the skirts of His robe, Job laid his hand upon his mouth. He had heard of God by the hearing of the ear, but now his eye saw Him, and he repented in dust and ashes. That is the great prize of trial, not vindication only, not a promotion only, but a fresh sight of the Lord Himself. Seek that first, for it is the restoration that swallows up every loss.

Still, I do not doubt that He who restored Job’s captivity and gave him twice as much, and who turned the hearts of those faultfinding friends to seek his intercession, is able to restore to you the years that the locust has eaten. Job’s latter end was more blessed than his beginning, and his bow was renewed in his hand. The Lord is not slow concerning His promise. But He will do this work in His own way, and often it springs forth not from the removal of the trial but from the discovery that He Himself is enough. Look to Christ, that Friend who was wounded in the house of His friends. One look from Him can sever you from the clamoring crowd and break your heart, then bind it up again with the threefold charge of His love. Gather with us in spirit, for where two or three agree in His name, He is present. And in His presence, even the heaviest cross becomes a light affliction, working for us an exceeding weight of glory.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. The troubles you have endured, false accusation, unjust treatment, the loss of reputation and livelihood, are not small. They cut deep, like the prison that held Joseph, like the slanders that pursued Elijah. Yet consider what great profit such trials can yield when borne in faith. The man who despises money and earthly security, who lives with temperance and trust in God, receives his reward even now: freedom from anxiety, from rivalry, from the bitter plotting of envy. These afflictions, painful as they are, are working a lightness of spirit in you, if you let them, while the world's goods remain forever uncertain.

You speak of gathering in Christ's name, and rightly so. The promise is sure: where two or three are gathered in His name, He is present. This is why I urge all to bind themselves together in love, not to be separated by suspicion or resentment. When you ask for prayer, you humble yourself and join your faith with others. That act itself drives away despair, for the Lord does not abandon those who seek Him together. I join my prayers to yours, confident that no false accusation can ultimately harm one who clings to the true Judge.

But do not, in your eagerness for restoration, fall into the snare of demanding a precise accounting from God. The earth often fails to restore what is deposited in it, but the Lord of the earth gives back more than we could imagine, and adds spiritual recompense besides. Why trust in the shifting promises of men and markets? Cast your treasure into His hand. He is a better guardian than any company or title. The promotion and income you seek are not evil, but they are shadows. The substance is the peace that comes from a clear conscience and a soul freed from the love of lucre. Zacchaeus, once a greedy publican, had his heart transformed at the very moment he welcomed Christ to his table; he restored fourfold what he had taken by false accusation, and that day salvation came to his house. So too, when you receive by grace the mercies of God, let the past losses no longer grip your heart. Whether these two positions open or close, know that the door Christ opens no man can shut, and the door He shuts, no man can force. Therefore pray, but with a willingness to accept what is given.

I will pray that the truth which vindicated you will also provide, and that if it is His will, these doors shall be thrown wide. But even if they remain shut for a time, remember that Joseph's vindication did not come at once, nor without the prison. The pruner's knife cuts deeply so that the vine may bear more fruit. The delays and setbacks are not signs of God's absence; they are often the very means by which He humbles presumption and purifies desire. Let your mind dwell less on the restoration of status and more on the restoration of your soul unto an unshakeable rest in Him. Then, whatever comes, you will be rich indeed.

Thank you for trusting me with this. What you’re walking through would break many people, yet here you are, still standing, still hoping, still believing God can open doors and restore what was taken. That takes a kind of grit that isn’t manufactured over a weekend. It’s forged in long seasons of not knowing, when every visible sign says “fold,” but something inside keeps you on your feet.

I’ve been thinking about Job lately. Not because you mentioned Joseph, though that picture is powerful, but because Job’s story deals with the very things you’re describing: false accusation, the loss of reputation, the disappearance of provision, and the utter loneliness of suffering when nobody seems to understand why. Job’s friends were so sure they had the answer. They kept insisting that nobody suffers like that unless God is angry with them, unless they’ve done something to deserve it. Bildad told him to get right with God, Zophar assumed he was covering up secret sin, and Eliphaz thought he must be a hypocrite. They couldn’t see any other reason for his trouble.

But you and I know something from the first chapter of that book that Job never got to see. God Himself had called Job “a good man, upright, who loves good and hates evil.” That wasn’t a promise to keep him from suffering, it was God’s settled verdict over his life before a single thing was taken. The losses didn’t change that verdict. The accusations didn’t revise it. The long nights in the ash heap didn’t erase it. And when Satan spun his philosophy that Job only served God because of the blessings, Job’s refusal to curse God proved him wrong, even through all the confusion.

What does that mean for you? It means that the intensity of these past years is not proof that God has turned against you. It doesn’t mean your integrity is gone. It doesn’t mean you’re being punished. I’m not saying you have never sinned, only one man could claim that, but I am saying that the kind of suffering you’re describing is not a bill God is making you pay for some secret failure. Job himself said things about death and his anguish that weren’t doctrinally pure, but God never condemned him for those desperate words. God knew his heart.

You said you’ve felt like Joseph, and that image fits. But just like Joseph, the prison years were not a detour from God’s plan, they were the path to it. And just like Job, the restoration at the end came not because Job finally “got right,” but because God is a restorer by nature. He doesn’t just give back what the locust ate; He gives back in such abundance that the former misery fades in comparison. I believe that for you.

Now, you’re asking for prayer over two specific opportunities. Let’s do that. But first, remember what Job cried out for in his worst moments. He didn’t just want an explanation; he wanted a daysman, someone to lay his hand on both parties, to bring God and man together. That’s exactly who Jesus is. And Jesus promised that where two or three agree in His name, He is there. So right now I’m agreeing with you.

Father, I lift up this one who has been through so much that feels like Job’s story written again. You see the false accusation, the delay, the layoff, the closed doors. You see the résumés sent to executives, the secret hopes, the quiet determination to keep going. I ask You to open the right door for these two positions. Grant favor that can’t be explained by credentials alone. Cause the right eyes to see the application and the right hearts to respond. If it is Your will, let an interview happen, let the path be clear, and let the offer come as a sign of Your redemption. Beyond that, Lord, restore the years the locust consumed. Redeem the reputation, the finances, the confidence, the time. Let the end of this story be so much better than the middle that those who saw the suffering will see the goodness and know it was You.
