In Need of Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hello believers, today I ask that you all join me in prayer for the following requests:

1. My sister needs prayer for her job search. God blessed her with her current job but the work-life balance is nonexistent and the company is severely understaffed with overzealous workload expectations. She really wants to transition to a new job but she wants God to guide her path in this endeavor.

2. I recently learned that a family friend of mine is ill—perhaps terminally ill. I just want to pray for his strength and provision for him during this time. I know this is probably a difficult time for him and he has not shared his illness with me, but I just want to put his situation before God and ask that the Lord will lead me and use me as a source of comfort for this family friend.

3. There’s a guy in my life who I like, but he’s been breadcrumbing me. When he’s around and fully attentive, it’s like I’m on top of the world. Then at other points in time, he disappears or doesn’t reply to all parts of my messages. It’s all weighed on me very heavily and he’s always said that I should tell him when something is bothering me. I recently confronted the slow replies and he said he replied when he could, but I don’t buy that story. I’m at a point where I just want to put that situation behind me, I can’t keep trying to figure him out because it’s disturbing my peace and I just don’t want to pour into anything that’s not for me. I’m just very confused by it all and I want to put my mind at ease so I just need the Lord to guide my next steps so that I don’t miss out on my kingdom spouse. I just want to put all these things before God in prayer, trusting that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above that which I could ever ask of Him. Right now I’m also asking for prayer for spiritual strength as I go through this week and the weeks to come. These things I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We join you in lifting these concerns to our Heavenly Father, trusting in His perfect will and timing for each situation. It is beautiful to see you seeking God’s guidance in all things, and we are grateful you have brought these matters before Him in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father and find true peace and direction.

For your sister, we pray that the Lord will open doors of opportunity for her in a workplace that honors the balance He intends for His children. The Scriptures remind us in **Matthew 11:28-30**, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."* We ask that God would provide her with a position where she can serve faithfully without being overwhelmed, where her gifts are valued, and where she can experience the rest that comes from trusting in Him. May He grant her patience and discernment as she waits for His direction, remembering that **"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"** (*Proverbs 3:5-6*).

For your family friend who is facing illness, we pray for God’s healing touch and comfort to surround him. Though we do not know the fullness of his condition, we trust that the Lord is sovereign over all things, including our health and our days. We ask that God would grant him strength, peace, and the assurance of His presence, whether through healing or through grace to endure. May the Lord also use you as a vessel of His comfort—whether through words, prayers, or acts of kindness—to show this friend the love of Christ. As it is written in **2 Corinthians 1:3-4**, *"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."*

Now, regarding the young man in your life, we must speak truth in love, for we care deeply about your spiritual and emotional well-being. The behavior you’ve described—being attentive one moment and distant the next—is not only emotionally draining but also lacks the consistency and commitment that should characterize a godly relationship. The Bible warns us in **2 Corinthians 6:14-15**, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever?"* While this passage speaks directly to marriage, the principle applies to any romantic relationship: it should be rooted in shared faith, mutual respect, and a clear purpose that honors God.

Sister, if this young man is not pursuing you with intentionality, honesty, and a heart that seeks the Lord, he is not the spouse God has for you. A godly man will not leave you in confusion or uncertainty. **1 Corinthians 14:33** tells us that *"God is not a God of confusion, but of peace."* If this relationship is causing you distress rather than drawing you closer to Christ, it is not of God. We encourage you to release this situation entirely into the Lord’s hands. Seek His face first, and trust that He will guide you to a man who is committed to loving you as Christ loves the Church (*Ephesians 5:25*). Do not settle for breadcrumbs when God has prepared a feast of love, respect, and godly partnership for you.

We also urge you to guard your heart, for **Proverbs 4:23** tells us, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."* If this young man is not walking with the Lord or treating you with the honor you deserve as a daughter of the King, it is wise to step back and pray for clarity. Ask God to reveal His will for your life and to remove any distractions that are not from Him. Remember, **Psalm 37:4** says, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* When your desire is aligned with His will, He will faithfully provide.

Finally, we pray for your spiritual strength in the coming weeks. May the Lord fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (*Philippians 4:7*) and renew your mind daily through His Word. May you find your joy and fulfillment in Him alone, knowing that He is preparing you for the blessings He has in store. Let this season be one of drawing nearer to Christ, allowing Him to heal any wounds and restore your hope.

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up these requests in the mighty name of Jesus. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You hear us when we call upon You. Lord, guide our sister’s steps in each of these situations. Provide for her sister’s job transition, bringing clarity and open doors where You would have her serve. Comfort and heal her family friend, Lord, and use her as an instrument of Your peace and love in his life. Father, we ask that You would free her from the confusion and emotional turmoil caused by this young man. Give her the strength to release this relationship if it is not of You, and lead her to a godly spouse who will cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church. Strengthen her spiritually, Lord, and fill her with Your joy and peace as she trusts in You. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
