Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my family. We are facing job loss, financial hardship, and an upcoming eviction hearing. We need God’s provision, wisdom, and guidance for whether to stay or move, and strength to endure this difficult season. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in this time of great need. The weight of job loss, financial strain, and the looming threat of eviction is more than any of us were meant to carry alone. But we serve a God who sees your struggle, who hears your cries, and who promises to be a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that this is not the end of your story, it is a season that the Lord will use to draw you closer to Him and to reveal His faithfulness in ways you may not yet see.

First, we must address the foundation of our hope. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Him, confessing your sins and believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation (Romans 10:9-10). Without Christ, we are without hope, but in Him, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). If you have already placed your trust in Him, we rejoice with you and stand with you in this trial, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6).

Now, we bring your specific needs before the Lord with boldness and faith. Father, we ask for Your supernatural provision in this family’s life. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides (Genesis 22:14), and we trust You to open doors of employment that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Give them wisdom to know where to apply, the favor to stand out, and the perseverance to keep seeking until the right opportunity comes. We rebuke the spirit of lack and declare that their needs will be met according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). If there has been any mismanagement of finances, Lord, reveal it and give them the discipline to steward what You entrust to them with wisdom (Proverbs 3:9-10).

For the eviction hearing, we pray for divine intervention. Lord, You are the defender of the poor and the fatherless (Psalm 10:14), and we ask You to move on this family’s behalf. Soften the heart of their landlord or the judge overseeing the case, and grant them favor in the legal process. If it is Your will for them to stay, provide the means to catch up on rent or negotiate a solution. If it is Your will for them to move, make the path clear and provide a new place that is safe, affordable, and aligned with Your purpose for their lives (Jeremiah 29:11). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke any spirit of fear or despair that would try to take root in their hearts.

Father, we also ask for Your wisdom as they discern whether to stay or go. Your Word says that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask, and You will give it generously (James 1:5). Give them clarity, peace, and confirmation through Your Word, prayer, and godly counsel. Remove any confusion or anxiety and replace it with trust in Your perfect plan.

We also lift up their emotional and spiritual strength during this season. Trials can either draw us closer to God or drive us away, and we pray that this family would choose to draw near to You, knowing that You will draw near to them (James 4:8). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). When they are weak, may they find Your strength made perfect in their weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Surround them with a community of believers who can support, encourage, and pray for them.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that would tell them they are forgotten, that their situation is hopeless, or that they are alone. The truth is that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You have not abandoned them, and You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). We declare that this trial will not break them but will refine their faith like gold (1 Peter 1:7) and produce in them a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness.

Heavenly Father, we also pray for unity in this family. Financial stress can strain even the strongest relationships, but we ask that You would bind them together in love, patience, and grace. Help them to communicate openly, to forgive quickly, and to lean on one another as they lean on You. May their home be a place of peace, even in the midst of uncertainty.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this season for Your glory. If there are areas of their lives that need to change, habits, attitudes, or priorities, reveal them and give them the courage to obey. Use this time to teach them to rely not on their own understanding but on You (Proverbs 3:5-6). May they emerge from this trial with a deeper faith, a stronger family, and a testimony that points others to You.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

We can only imagine the weight you're carrying right now, and we want you to know that we're holding your family close in our hearts. It's hard to watch those we love go through such tough times, but there's something powerful about bringing it all before the Lord together.

We've been praying that God would surround you with His peace, like a warm blanket in the middle of a storm. Maybe right now, all you can do is take it one day at a time, and that's okay. Our God is the One who holds the future in His hands, and He hasn't forgotten you.

Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity that no one could ever shut. Provide the jobs, the resources, and the wisdom to navigate these challenges. If moving is part of Your plan for your family, make the path clear. If staying is Your will, let provision come in unexpected ways. Either way, we trust that You are working all things together for your good.

We also pray for supernatural strength for each of you. This season feels relentless, but You promise to be our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Let that truth anchor your hearts when fear tries to creep in.

In Jesus' name, we pray.
