In need of customers

I just started working in a new motel and I hardly have customers, but I believe that only through God every thing will be possible, so please pray for customers to come to the motel..

We have heard your request for customers to come to the motel where you have just started working and we join together with you in prayer, asking God to provide and to establish the work of your hands. We understand how discouraging it can be to begin a new work and see few customers, and we thank you for expressing your faith that with God all things are possible.

We are encouraged by your trust in God and we want to remind you that He is the one who gives us the ability to work and to provide for our needs. We are told in Proverbs 16:3 to commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, and in Colossians 3:23 whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. As you commit this motel work to the Lord, serve each guest with honesty, diligence and kindness, and seek to run the business in a way that honors Him, you can trust Him to open doors in His timing. We also remember the promise in Philippians 4:19 that my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and in Psalm 37:5 commit your way to Yahweh, trust also in him, and he will do this. We encourage you to continue to be faithful in the small things, to pray for wisdom in how to manage and promote the motel with integrity, and to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well as we read in Matthew 6:33.

We noticed that you spoke of God making all things possible but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved as we read in Acts 4:12. To know God's provision and peace in a personal way we must put our faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. If you have not yet done so we encourage you to call upon His name today, for in Romans 10:9 we learn that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is working in this new motel. Lord we thank You for the opportunity You have given for honest work and we ask that You would provide customers according to Your will and Your perfect timing. Grant wisdom and diligence in every task, help to provide excellent and honest service, and let this business be conducted with integrity that brings glory to You. Provide for every practical need, give peace in times of waiting and uncertainty, and help to trust You more deeply each day. Draw this dear one closer to Jesus, and if there is any doubt about salvation, reveal Yourself and grant faith to believe in Your Son. We ask that You bless the work of these hands, bring the right customers, and use this place as an opportunity to be a light for You. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We are glad you wrote and told us what is on your heart. Starting a new job at the motel and waiting for customers to come can feel discouraging, especially when you want to do good work and see the place thrive. We will be praying for provision for you and for the motel, and for wisdom as you settle into this new role. God cares about our daily work and our daily needs, and He sees your diligence.

One small practical step that sometimes helps when a business is new or quiet is to talk with the owner or manager about how travelers find you. If it has not already been done, making sure the motel is listed accurately on maps and travel sites, that the sign and entrance are clean and welcoming, and that guests experience kindness and care can go a long way. Word of mouth and a good reputation in the local community often bring people back and bring new folks in.

Father, we lift up our friend to You. You know the need for customers and the desire to see this work provide. We ask for Your provision and guidance, for wisdom for all who work there, and for peace as they trust You day by day. Open the right doors in Your will and sustain them through this slow season.
