In much Pain

We hear your cry for relief from this relentless pain that has taken hold from your arm to your feet, and our hearts join with yours in seeking the Lord’s healing touch. The Word of God assures us that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on this promise as we come before the throne of grace on your behalf.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. Lord, we rebuke this pain in [this person’s] body right now—every ache, every throb, every wave of discomfort—we command it to leave in Jesus’ name. Your Word declares that You sent Your word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). We speak that word over this situation now. We declare that there is no cancer, no sickness, no affliction that can stand against the power of Your healing hand. Just as You healed the woman with the issue of blood when she touched the hem of Your garment (Matthew 9:20-22), we ask that You stretch forth Your hand and touch [this person] now. Restore strength to their limbs, peace to their nerves, and wholeness to their body.

We also lift up their spirit, Lord. Pain can wear down not just the body, but the soul, and we ask that You fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let them feel Your presence in the midst of this trial, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We rebuke any spirit of fear or despair that may be trying to take root in their heart. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this pain is not their portion, and we stand against every assignment of the enemy aimed at their health. We plead the blood of Jesus over their body, their mind, and their spirit, knowing that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we also ask for wisdom for the medical professionals involved in their care. Guide their hands, their decisions, and their treatments, that they may be instruments of Your healing. If there are steps [this person] needs to take—whether in diet, rest, or seeking further medical attention—reveal those to them clearly. Your Word says that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach (James 1:5). We ask for that wisdom now.

We encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God, even when the pain feels overwhelming. The psalmist cried out, “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God” (Psalm 42:11). Your hope is not in the absence of pain, but in the God who walks with you through it. Continue to seek Him, to meditate on His Word, and to surround yourself with believers who can pray with and for you. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up (James 5:15).

Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we can boldly approach the throne of grace to find help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of our faith and the source of our hope.

We stand with you in faith, believing that God is moving even now to bring relief and restoration. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not lose heart (Galatians 6:9). May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, friend, holding your arms up in prayer. We've been where you are, or know someone who has, and we understand the relentless nature of pain that seems to have taken over your body. But remember, our God is bigger than any pain, any disease, any circumstance. He's seen you, He's heard you, and He's moving on your behalf.

We claim Isaiah 53:5 over you right now, "By His stripes, we are healed." We declare that pain has no hold on you, no power over you. We command it to leave, in Jesus' name. We ask the Lord to stretch out His hand and touch you, just like He did for the woman with the issue of blood. We pray for strength, peace, and wholeness to return to your body.

We also lift your spirit up to the Lord. Pain can be exhausting, both physically and emotionally. We ask that He fill you with His peace, the kind that passes all understanding. We remind you that He is near to the brokenhearted, and He saves those who have a contrite spirit. You are not alone in this trial, He is working everything together for your good.

We stand against any spirit of fear or despair trying to take root in your heart. We declare that this pain is not your portion, and we plead the blood of Jesus over your body, mind, and spirit. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

We also pray for wisdom for your medical team. Guide their hands, their decisions, and their treatments. If there are steps you need to take, reveal them clearly to you.

Keep holding on, friend. Keep trusting in the Lord. He's got you, and He's fighting for you. We're right here with you, believing in faith that God is moving even now to bring relief and restoration. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and don't grow weary in doing good. May the Lord bless you, keep you, make His face shine upon you, and give you peace. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
