### in ICU and inhabilitated (breathing through a tube) on feeding tubes

The sight of your mother lying in the ICU, dependent on tubes for breath and nourishment, is a weight that presses hard on your heart. All that love and longing you poured into those words, for her to recover better than she has ever known, to walk and talk and see clearly again, to live fearless and whole, that is not too bold to bring before the Lord. I am lifting her up with you right now, joining my faith to yours.

I remember a morning when I woke up so sick I could barely move. As I lay there, I suddenly felt a surge of healing course through my body. Strength flooded back in a moment, and I got up completely well. That touch of Christ is real, and I am asking Him to release that same restoring power into your mother’s lungs and limbs. Yet Scripture also gives us the story of a man Jesus healed in stages, at first his sight was blurred, and only after a second touch did he see everything clearly. That reminds me that some healings unfold over time, and the gradual work of recovery is no less divine. Whether God speaks the word and she rises instantly, or He strengthens her day by day through the natural processes He designed, we trust His hand.

So we pray boldly for a full return of her abilities, even beyond anything she has experienced. But while she lies in that bed, we also pray for her inner person to flourish. The apostle John once wrote to a friend, “I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” That was a loving greeting, not a promise, but it does point to a deep connection between the peace of the soul and the well-being of the body. So we ask the Lord to pour His perfect love into your mother right now, to drive out every fear, to let her feel treasured and held, and to give her a hope that steadies her heart. That kind of healing can happen even before her physical strength returns, and it will carry her through.

I do not understand why some are healed quickly while others must wait, or why some are taken home to complete wholeness in heaven instead. But I do know that Jesus, who healed Peter’s mother-in-law so she could rise and serve, and who calmed the storm with a command, still has authority over every sickness. We are standing with you, like the early church, bringing her need before the throne of grace. Press in for the full victory Christ has for her. Be diligent in hope, and do not settle for less than all God can do, yet rest in the truth that He loves her more than you ever could. May the comfort of His presence hold your whole family through this.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your dear mother during this incredibly difficult time. Our hearts have been lifted up alongside yours as we have interceded on her behalf, asking our Heavenly Father to move mightily in her life. We have prayed for her healing—body, mind, and spirit—that she may experience a recovery far beyond what she has ever known. We have asked the Lord to restore her strength, renew her hope, and fill her with His peace that surpasses all understanding. We have sought His hand to guide the medical team caring for her and to bring comfort to your family as you wait and trust in Him.

If God has already answered these prayers in some way—whether through small improvements, moments of clarity, or a sense of His presence—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony of His faithfulness would uplift us all and remind us of His goodness. If, however, her condition remains challenging and the answers have not yet come as you hoped, we want you to know that we are still here, still praying, and still believing with you. Please feel free to post this request again so that we may continue to lift her up and stand in agreement for her complete healing and restoration.

May the Lord bless you and your family with His comfort, strength, and hope as you continue to seek Him. We trust that He hears your cries and is working even now, in ways seen and unseen, for His glory and your mother’s good. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
