We join you in bringing this petition before the Father of Lights, from whom every good and perfect gift comes down, and we thank Him with you for any improvement He has already given, for a person can receive nothing unless it has first been given from heaven.

We pray that Christ would dwell in your heart by faith and that His love would overflow in you beyond all you ask or think, according to the power at work within us. We ask for grace and wisdom to train up your child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, that he would be taught to honor both father and mother as God commands, and that you would have the strength to lead him faithfully in the ways of the Lord. We pray for scheduled and supervised times face to face to be established and protected, and for the quality of your communication to grow in love and clarity, that what is spoken would be helpful and edifying.

We also pray for your wife, that the Lord would work in her mind, will, emotions and conscience, and bring conviction where it is needed, that she would come to repentance and to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His holy will, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and all intimacy belongs within it, but we do ask that God would hedge the way away from sin and turn hearts back to Himself and to faithfulness to His covenant. We pray that any hindrance to godly communication and to your responsibility as a father to shepherd your child would be restrained by the authority of Jesus, before whom every knee will bow, and that you would be given a spirit of longsuffering, for nothing is equal to longsuffering, and the one who is patient is above the reach of insult and remains strong in wisdom.

We pray for protection for your child and for your wife and all around you from deception, from false teaching, from temptation and from the evil one, that your little one would be kept by the power of God through faith, filled with the Holy Spirit, guarded from fear and lies, and that the evil one would not touch him. We pray that he would be saved early and grow in the knowledge of the Scriptures which are able to make him wise for salvation.

In your weakness we pray you will find strength, for when we are weak then Christ is strong in us, and we can gladly boast in our weaknesses so that the power of Christ may rest upon us. Our help comes from the Maker of heaven and earth, and our deepest longing, like a father's love for a beloved child, is to be with Christ and to have our portion in His glory. May the Lord grant you endurance, a father's affection that weeps and labors in love, and a steady hope as you wait on Him. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, trusting that what we ask according to His will He hears and will answer. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden so openly and for wanting your time together to honor the Lord. The longing you expressed for face to face fellowship is deeply biblical. John wrote that there is a fuller joy when we can speak face to face, and it is right to ask the Father for that gift, remembering that every good and perfect gift comes down from Him and that a person can receive nothing unless it is given from heaven.

We join you in praying that Christ would dwell in your hearts by faith and that His love would take root and overflow in your home. When His love fills us, it changes the way we speak and listen. We pray with you that your love would abound more and more in knowledge and discernment, so that your communication would grow in grace, truth, and wisdom, and that any hindrance to wholesome fellowship would have to bow to the name of Jesus, before whom every knee will bow.

Your desire to train your child in the nurture and instruction of the Lord reflects God's own heart. Jesus set a little child in the midst of His disciples and taught that we must humble ourselves like a child to enter the kingdom, and that it is not the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. Their angels always behold the Father's face, and to receive a child in Jesus' name is to receive Him. How serious and how blessed is the calling to nourish a child's faith, to teach God's word diligently, and to encourage that child to honor both father and mother as God commands. We pray that you will be given wisdom to do this with gentleness and consistency, and that your example of servanthood, which is the true path to greatness in the kingdom, would shape your child's heart. We also pray that the precious gift of marriage, where two become one flesh, would be honored as God designed, with full satisfaction and faithfulness within that covenant alone, and that your family would know the joy of children as a heritage from the Lord.

We hear your prayer for your wife, for her mind and will and conscience to be moved by the Lord, and for her to know conviction, repentance, and salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Scripture is clear that no one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws him, and that salvation is found in no other name. That truth can take pressure off your heart as you witness and pray, because you can trust the Father to do the drawing. At the same time God does use prayer to hedge a way with thorns, as with Hosea, to awaken a soul to its need and turn it back. So we pray both for improved, respectful, and helpful communication and for the deeper work of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction of sin, a turning to Christ, and the fruit of righteousness that follows. We pray that she and your child and all who influence them would be guarded from deception, false teaching, temptation, and the schemes of the evil one, and that your little one would be kept by the power of God through faith, filled with the Holy Spirit, and protected so that the evil one does not touch him.

Take comfort in how God overrules in the affairs of people to protect His children. Joseph's brothers meant evil against him out of jealousy, throwing him into a pit, yet God reversed what was intended for harm and turned it for good to preserve many lives. In the days of Esther, a crisis in the palace and the plotting of a powerful man against God's people was overturned, and the one who plotted destruction fell while God's people were delivered. You are a child of God, and He watches over you. Even when evil is planned against you, He is able to reverse it for good. Remember that there are more with us than against us. The Lord who made heaven and earth is your help, and He gives His angels charge to minister to those who will inherit salvation. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

We also pray for you in your weakness. God has said His grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in weakness, so you can gladly boast in your need that the power of Christ may rest upon you. You have direct access to the Father through Jesus. You do not need another mediator, because Jesus Himself said the Father loves you and you may ask in His name. So we bring these requests directly to the Father in Jesus' name.

Father, keep this family in Your name. Grant more gracious and consistent face to face time that builds up faith. Let Christ dwell richly in each heart, let love overflow, and grant wisdom to train this child in Your ways. Draw this wife to Yourself, grant her repentance and faith in Jesus alone, and guard her steps. Protect this child from all deception and harm, and help him to grow in honoring You and honoring his parents. Guard this home from fear and lies and every work of the enemy, and let Your will be done. We ask this in the authority of Jesus' name, trusting that You hear and answer according to Your perfect wisdom.

We have continued to lift up your petition for improved face to face video times according to 2 John 1:12, that every hindrance and obstacle would be bound and bow to the Name of Christ, and that more freedom to connect face to face would be enjoyed. We have thanked the Father with you that every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of Lights, James 1:17, and that a person can receive nothing unless it has been given from heaven, John 3:27. We have also stood with you that Christ would dwell in your hearts by faith and His love would overflow beyond expectation, Eph 3:17, and that you would receive grace and wisdom to train up your youngster in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, Eph 6:4.

We continue to pray for both of your requests as you shared, for Godly communication with improved quality and for convenient and supervised times together, and also for conviction, hedging and salvation for your wife, that the Lord would move upon her mind, will, emotions, conscience and understanding, Phil 2:13, and draw her to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. We pray for your little one to be encouraged to honor both father and mother, Eph 6:1, and that you would be able to bring him up in the training of the Lord, Deut 6:7, and for protection for him and for her and all connected to them from deception and the evil one, John 17:15, remembering that when we are weak then He is strong in us, 2 Cor 12:9, and that our help comes from the Maker of heaven and earth, Psalm 121:2.
