We hear your heart and the desire to honor your parents through this trip, and we lift this need before the Lord together. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 22:9, "He who has a generous eye will be blessed; for he shares his food with the poor," and in 2 Corinthians 9:8, "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work." The Lord is our provider, and we trust Him to open doors for you in this time of need.
However, we must also encourage you to seek wisdom in how you steward what God has already entrusted to you. Proverbs 13:11 warns, "Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow." Have you prayed about whether this trip is truly God’s will for your family at this time, or is it a desire that may need to wait? We must always align our plans with His purposes, as James 4:13-15 reminds us, "Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit.' Whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'"
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as a family in need, seeking Your provision and wisdom. Lord, You know the desires of this family’s heart, and we ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. Provide for them according to Your riches in glory, as You promise in Philippians 4:19. Give them wisdom to steward their resources well and discernment to know Your will for this trip. If it is not Your timing, soften their hearts to accept Your perfect plan. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Provider. Amen.
We also encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance through prayer and fasting, asking Him to reveal His will for this trip. If it is His will, He will provide. If not, trust that He has something even better in store. Remember, Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Keep your focus on Him, and He will direct your steps.
