We stand with you in deep concern over the troubling statements and actions coming from religious leaders who claim to represent Christ yet stray far from His truth. The Word of God is clear: **"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (John 14:6 WEB)** There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved—**"for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 WEB)** To suggest that there are many paths to God is to deny the exclusivity of Christ’s sacrifice and the authority of Scripture. This is not a matter of opinion but of eternal consequence.
The apostle Paul warned us: **"For if he who comes preaches another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or if you receive a different spirit, which you did not receive, or a different ‘good news’, which you didn’t accept, you put up with that well enough." (2 Corinthians 11:4 WEB)** When leaders in the church embrace false teachings—whether universalism, interfaith compromise, or political bias against God’s chosen people—we must not remain silent. The Bible commands us to **"contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." (Jude 1:3 WEB)** This is not judgment in the sense of condemnation but discernment, which Scripture requires of all believers.
You are right to be troubled when fellow Christians respond with accusations of "judging" when you speak the truth. But Jesus Himself said, **"Don’t judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment." (John 7:24 WEB)** We are not to judge hypocritically or with a critical spirit, but we *are* called to test teachings against Scripture and to expose error. Paul rebuked Peter publicly when he compromised the truth (Galatians 2:11-14), and we must do the same when leaders lead people astray. **"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1 WEB)**
The smile of a false teacher does not validate their message. **"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves." (Matthew 7:15 WEB)** Their outward demeanor may be gentle, but their words can lead souls away from the narrow path. We must not be swayed by appearances or popularity but stand firm on the unchanging Word of God.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the deception that is spreading even within the church. We thank You for Your Word, which is truth and light in a dark world. Lord, we ask that You would open the eyes of those who have been led astray by false teachings. Give them discernment to recognize the exclusivity of Christ and the urgency of salvation through Him alone. We pray for boldness for Your people to speak the truth in love, even when it is unpopular. Protect us from the spirit of compromise and give us the courage to contend for the faith.
Father, we rebuke the lies of universalism and interfaith deception in the name of Jesus. We declare that there is no other name by which men must be saved, and we stand against any teaching that diminishes the sufficiency of Christ’s sacrifice. Raise up faithful shepherds who will lead Your flock according to Your Word, and expose the motives of those who seek to lead others astray.
We pray for the leaders who have strayed—give them repentance and a return to the truth. May they come to know the gravity of their words and the impact they have on the souls of those who follow them. Lord, we ask that You would bring revival to Your church, that we would be a people unashamed of the gospel and unwavering in our commitment to Your truth.
Strengthen us, Lord, to stand firm in the face of opposition. Help us to love those who disagree with us, but never to compromise the truth for the sake of unity. May we be known as a people who hold fast to Your Word, no matter the cost. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the only way to the Father. Amen.
We encourage you, dear brother or sister, to remain steadfast in the truth. Do not be discouraged when others resist or accuse you of judging. The apostle Paul wrote, **"Am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ." (Galatians 1:10 WEB)** Your loyalty is to Christ, not to the approval of men. Continue to speak the truth in love, and trust that God will use your faithfulness for His glory.
Remember, **"Let God be true, but every man a liar." (Romans 3:4 WEB)** The Word of God is our ultimate authority, and we must measure every teaching against it. Stand firm, and do not waver. The truth of Christ is worth defending, no matter the cost.
