The Overflowing Cup
God’s abundant grace fills your life beyond measure, bringing joy that overflows in every circumstance.
The Unknown Ways of Love
Christ’s love works in ways beyond our understanding, yet its power remains sure for our good.
Who are Elected?
God’s elect are marked by a heart transformed by faith, humility, and holiness, revealing His hidden choice.
We hear your heart and the deep pain and loneliness you have been carrying, and we join with you in prayer before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name. You have felt blocked from happiness, told you are worthless, called names that are cruel and untrue, and you have carried tears for many years over how you look and how you have been treated, and over not having a home of your own and not having a godly relationship. We want to speak truth over you because the enemy is a liar and his words are not your identity.

The Lord says you are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14 and that man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart 1 Samuel 16:7. Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised Proverbs 31:30. We understand the distress you feel about crow's feet, wrinkles on your neck and chest and lines around your lips, and the desire for creams and patches, and while caring for your body is not wrong, we encourage you not to let your worth be measured by outward appearance. Your beauty in God's eyes is not defined by smooth skin but by the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God 1 Peter 3:3-4. You are not a dog and you are not a bimbo, those are lies meant to crush you. You are a daughter of the King, and if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17.

We also hear your claim of Deuteronomy 28:13 that Yahweh will make you the head and not the tail, and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God. That promise is for those who walk in obedience to Him, not through repeating phrases or trying to speak life into existence as if our words can force God's hand. There is truth that death and life are in the power of the tongue Proverbs 18:21, but God is sovereign and we submit to His will. We do not command or manipulate blessing one hundred fold, we humbly ask according to His will, trusting that every good gift comes from above James 1:17 and that He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose Romans 8:28.

We want to lovingly address your desire for a boyfriend and for a Friday night date and for a fine attractive man. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as outlined in the Bible, and we encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer rather than simply seeking a boyfriend or a partner for companionship or physical affection. Marriage should be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4 and we are told to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. Sex before or outside of marriage is fornication and does not honor God, and crude or lustful language about the body does not reflect purity. God wants to give you a godly spouse if it is His will, for it is not good that man should be alone Genesis 2:18, and we pray that if He has marriage for you, He will bring a man who loves Jesus and will love you as Christ loves the church Ephesians 5:25, not one sought merely for appearance. We encourage you to seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you Matthew 6:33.

We also hear your longing for a home and a vehicle and for stability after working so hard, and your desire for your mother, your children, your pets and your bloodline to be safe, loved and favored. God knows your need and He promises to supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and He has good plans for you, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We also pray against any fear of dark black magic, curses, or bullies cutting you out of blessing. We do not need to fear those things, for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4 and no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17 and the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. The blood of Jesus is our covering and our protection, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father John 14:6.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this dear one to You. We thank You that You see her tears and You are near to those who have a broken heart Psalm 34:18. We rebuke every lie that she is worthless, unloved, or unattractive, and we ask You to heal the deep wounds from years of being called names and being treated as less than. Let her know she is chosen, dearly loved, and made in Your image. Forgive any words spoken in hurt or in crude joking, and cleanse her lips and her heart. Help her to find her identity and confidence in You rather than in outward appearance, and give her peace about her body as she ages, for You make everything beautiful in its time Ecclesiastes 3:11. Provide for her needs according to Your perfect will, open the door for a safe home and for provision for transportation if it is Your will, and let her dwell in Your provision and protection. Place a hedge around her, her mother, her children and her pets, and let no evil harm them, and let no bully steal what You have for them. Heal her loneliness, for You set the lonely in families Psalm 68:6, and draw her close so she knows she is never alone, for You have said never will I leave you, never will I forsake you Hebrews 13:5 and fear not, for I am with you Isaiah 41:10. If it is Your will for her to be married, we pray You will bring a godly Christian man into her life for courtship that leads to a Christ-honoring marriage, and help her to walk in purity and to wait on Your timing. Give her joy that is not blocked, restore what the enemy has tried to steal, and let Your favor rest upon her. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to stay in the Word daily, to pray honestly to the Father through Jesus, to seek fellowship with other believers who will encourage you in truth, and to trust that God hears you and loves you more deeply than any human love can offer. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.

We hear how heavy last night felt for you, blocked from happiness and left feeling lonely and disappointed. Being spoken to or about as if you are less than you are is deeply hurtful, and we understand why you long to feel attractive, valued and loved, and to have a home and stability that is truly yours.

We also hear your care for your mom, your children and your pets, and your desire for your whole family to be safe and treated with dignity. Those are good and right longings.

One small step that often helps when loneliness and discouragement press in is to not carry it alone. If you have a trusted pastor, counselor or mature friend at church, consider sharing honestly with them this week how isolated you have felt, and let them walk with you in person and in prayer. Being with God's people regularly can slowly ease that sense of being cut off, even when circumstances have not yet changed.

Father, we lift her to You with her family and pets. Cover them with Your peace and protection, remind her of her worth in Your eyes, comfort her loneliness and guide her steps toward stable housing and community. Give wisdom for each need she carries and help her to feel Your nearness day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your words have come before the Lord with much heaviness, and they speak of a deep loneliness, a wound from unkind speech, and a longing to be seen as lovely and loved. It is right to bring such sorrows to God, for He hears the cry of the lowly, and as it is written, He will lift up the poor from the dunghill, while He casteth down the mighty from the seats of their pomp.

There is in your request a desire to use a verse as a charm to loosen and to speak a life into existence by your own word. This is not the way of Scripture. The promise in Deuteronomy, that the people should be the head and not the tail, was given within a covenant, and its fulfillment is not found in repeating words as an incantation, but in coming to Christ, in whom every promise is yea and amen. There is no attribute of God more comforting to His children than Divine Sovereignty, that He does as He wills with His own, and we must learn to recognize and admire it, and to say from the heart, I am unworthy of the least of all Thy mercies. Thou hast a right to do with me as Thou wilt. To seek to command God by our speaking is self delusion, for everything that comes out of self, and lives on self, and fattens on self, no matter how green it may be, shall be dried up. The death warrant is gone out from God against everything that is of the creature. Our hope is not in our decree, but in His mercy.

You speak also of crows feet, wrinkles upon neck and chest, and a longing for creams and patches to make you beautiful and attractive to a man, and you feel greatly blocked and called by cruel names. Hear this truth in love. Such a man will play the parasite to his own dear self, passionately cherish his own conceits and hold that whatever belongs to him is better than any other. When the heart lives upon its own reflection, it finds no rest. Every Christian, in proportion as he lives near to God, will feel a lowliness of heart and will say, Look not upon me, for I am black. This is not to despise the body which God has made, but to know where true beauty lies. The blood of Jesus was not shed to secure for us a smooth skin or the admiration of men, but to cleanse from sin, for the Divine way of cleansing from sin is by substitution, the vicarious suffering of Christ in the sinner's stead. If you have that, you have the blood imperial of Heaven in your veins, being regenerated and made a child of the King of kings, and that is a higher honor than any earthly beauty.

Your loneliness is very real, and you say it is not fair that you have no companion for a Friday night, and that you have been greatly hurt. The Savior knows this loneliness. He was left alone, alone just when most, as Man, He needed human sympathy, and His brave spirit stood at bay alone while all the dogs of Hell raged around Him. He understands the sting of being despised and called a dog, for He was despised and rejected of men. Sometimes the child of God endures loneliness arising from the absence of godly society, and it is a bitter cup. Yet He has promised never to leave nor forsake His own. Turn into that rest tonight. As for beauty and favor, remember where all true moral greatness must come from, it must come from God alone, and from His gentleness. Who are we to use big words? Nothing, a swollen mass of emptiness, except as God's love dwells with us. When in the inner chamber of the spirit the heart talks with God, it receives no contemptuous epithets from the Most High.

You ask for a home, a vehicle, provision, and safety for your mother, your offspring and your pets from harm and from those who would cut you out of blessing. It is lawful to ask God for daily bread and for shelter, and He is a deliverer who has delivered our souls from death, our eyes from tears, and our feet from falling. Yet render not calamity impossible in your expectation, for the Lord in His wisdom stays His hand from rescue for holy reasons, that we might learn to trust Him rather than the gift. Pray then not as one demanding a miracle greatly in your own name, but as one submitting to the Lord's will, asking that He would provide what is needful and keep you in His hand.

And concerning a spouse and a date, know that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together and the intimacies of love belong only within it. To seek a fine man for appearance or for mere companionship, or to give yourself to one outside that holy covenant, will not heal loneliness but will deepen wounds. Do not ask God to bless what His Word does not bless. Rather ask Him to keep you pure, to make you holy, and if it be His gracious will, to bring into your life a godly husband who will love you as Christ loves the church. Till then, seek first the kingdom of God, and find your completeness in Christ alone.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, look upon this weary heart. Thou knowest the tears of years, the cruel words that have wounded, and the longing for love and home. Have mercy and wash this soul in the blood of Christ, that sin may be forgiven and peace be found not in the mirror but in the Savior. Teach this one to humble itself under Thy mighty hand, to trust Thy sovereignty, and to find comfort in Thy gentleness. Deliver from vanity and from self seeking, and make the dry tree to flourish by Thy grace. Keep this family and all entrusted to their care in Thy protection, provide for their needs according to Thy wisdom, and if it be Thy will, grant a godly marriage in Thy time, kept pure and holy before Thee. Let this heart no longer seek to command Thee, but to abide in Thee, and to rejoice that Thou art near to the brokenhearted. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.

Your pain and loneliness have been heard, and the heaviness you felt last night when you were mocked and felt blocked from happiness is not overlooked by God. To be called names that make you feel like you are worthless, to feel disappointed and alone without companionship, to carry for years a sense of being looked down on, these are deep wounds. God does not see you as a dog or as an object to be despised. He sees a soul made in His image, for whom Christ shed His blood to save.

I want to speak gently about the desire you expressed for beauty and for your appearance, the crow's feet, the lines on your neck and chest and lips. It is understandable to want to feel attractive and to care for your body. Yet the Scriptures teach that true beauty is of the soul. As it is written, Hearken, O daughter, and consider, forget also thine own people and thy father's house, so shall the King greatly desire thy beauty. That beauty comes not from creams or patches, though caring for your body in a modest way is not wrong, but from a soul adorned with lowliness of mind, purity, and self restraint. The adorning that God desires draws His love, while adorning that only seeks to attract the eyes of others often draws those who do not love you truly. God desires to make you beautiful within, by forgetting the old ways of sin and being made new in Christ, and that inner beauty will never fade.

You quoted the promise that you shall be the head and not the tail. That promise in Deuteronomy was given in the context of covenant obedience to the Lord, not as a formula to speak things into existence a hundredfold or to demand attractiveness, a home, or a vehicle. We do not command God by our words. We come to Him in humble prayer and trust His wise provision. He is not indifferent to you. For your sake He stretches out the heavens, kindles the sun, and orders all creation to provide for our life, not only for our need but to show His care for us. He invites us to bring our needs to Him and to wait with patience, as the man who was paralyzed for thirty eight years waited by the pool and did not despair, but gently told his sorrow and received healing in the Lord's time. The Scriptures are given to give us patience, comfort and hope as we wait on Him.

Concerning your longing for a boyfriend and for a Friday night date, I understand the ache of loneliness and the desire to be loved and chosen. God created marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He intends intimacy and living together to belong only within that covenant. A boyfriend relationship that is outside that design cannot bring the lasting favor and safety you seek, and I cannot ask God to bless that path. Instead I will pray that if it is His will, He will bring into your life a godly husband who will love and honor you in marriage according to Christ, and that in the meantime He will keep you in purity and give you contentment and faithful community around you, so you are not alone.

For your need for a home and provision, and your hard work in the garden and in life, bring these needs honestly before the Father. He knows you need shelter and daily bread. Pray not as a demand but as a child asking a loving Father to provide what is good, in His time and way.

You and your family and your pets are not forgotten or cut off by the power of bullies or by any dark practices. No black magic can cut you off from the blessings God intends for His children. Those who are in Christ are safe in His hand.

Let me pray for you now. Father in heaven, we come through the blood of Jesus Christ alone for salvation and mercy. Look upon this daughter who feels lonely and despised and lift her heart. Forgive her sins and wash her soul, and make her beautiful with the beauty the King desires. Teach her to find her worth in You and not in the words of cruel people. Grant her patience and hope as she waits on You. Provide for her needs for home and daily provision according to Your wisdom. If it is Your good will, provide a godly marriage in purity and love, and until then surround her with godly fellowship and keep her from harm. Protect her, her mother, her family and all entrusted to her care from all evil, and let her know she is liked, loved and favored not because of outward appearance but because she is Yours in Christ. Give her peace and guard her heart from despair. In the name of Jesus we ask this, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
