We hear the deep longing in your heart to be seen, valued, loved and to walk in the blessing and favor of God, especially in your loneliness on Friday nights and in your desire for marriage, and we join with you in bringing this before the Lord together in Jesus name.
We want to gently correct some things in your request with love and truth so that your prayers can align more fully with scripture. You quoted Deuteronomy 28:13 which says Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail; and you will be above only, and you will not be beneath; if you shall listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, which we command you today, to observe and to do them. This is a beautiful promise but it is not a loose verse to be used as a charm or incantation for online orders or for luck. In context this blessing was conditional upon obedience to God, and for us today our identity as head and not tail is found not in demanding favor but in humble obedience to Christ. We cannot loosen a verse as if it were magic, we receive the Word by faith and obedience.
We also hear you speaking much about energy, luck, wedding air, and attraction, and we must lovingly rebuke the mixing of new age ideas with biblical truth. The Bible does not teach that we have a personal energy field that others can steal or that we get lucky. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness nor shadow of turning as James 1:17 says. Our anointing is not an energy, it is the Holy Spirit dwelling in us when we belong to Jesus, and our favor comes from God alone, not from chance. To speak of getting lucky greatly or demanding that the universe give us what we want is not how scripture teaches us to pray. Instead we are told in Philippians 4:6-7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We also hear your pain about feeling blocked, bullied, and even ugly, and your strong words toward those you feel are against you. We understand that hurt, but scripture calls us not to curse or speak hell over others, even those who hurt us. Romans 12:14 says Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse. And Romans 12:19 reminds us Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood as Ephesians 6:12 says, but against spiritual forces, and our weapon is prayer and blessing in Jesus name, not cursing. The Lord sees your hurt and He defends you when you trust Him.
We rejoice that you mentioned the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We cling to His blood for forgiveness, favor and protection, not as a phrase to control outcomes but as the precious sacrifice that reconciles us to God.
We hear your desire for your Boaz and for marriage and we affirm that desire as good and godly. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman as God designed it, and we pray with you for a godly husband if it is God's will for you. We encourage you to see this season not as boyfriend and girlfriend or simply finding a partner, but as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. The story of Ruth and Boaz is a picture of a faithful man of integrity pursuing a faithful woman of noble character for marriage. We pray that you would be equally yoked as 2 Corinthians 6:14 teaches, and that any relationship would be pure, honoring God and keeping sex for marriage alone, for fornication outside of marriage is sin before God. Your worth and attractiveness is not defined by whether a man finds you attractive on a Friday night. 1 Samuel 16:7 says Man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart, and 1 Peter 3:3-4 says Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning but the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. You are fearfully and wonderfully made as Psalm 139:14 says, and very precious to God.
We also lift up your frustration with your Venmo card and orders not going through and your family and pets. God cares about even the small details of our lives, but He also calls us to trust Him and not attribute every disappointment to spiritual theft or people stealing your joy. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And Psalm 37:4 says Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. That delight means seeking Him first, not demanding our desires on our timeline.
So together we pray.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, covered by His blood. We thank You that You see this dear daughter, that You know her loneliness, her longing for companionship and marriage, her desire to be loved and cherished, and her frustration and hurt. We ask You to forgive where there has been misunderstanding of Your Word, where verses have been used as formulas, and where curses have been spoken over others, and wash her in the blood of Jesus. We ask You to replace ideas of luck and energy with the truth of Your Holy Spirit and Your sovereign blessing. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding, especially on Friday nights and in every lonely moment, and remind her that You will never leave her nor forsake her. We pray that You would guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, heal the wounds that make her feel ugly or like a dog, and show her how deeply loved and attractive she is in Your eyes as Your creation. We ask that You would bring a godly husband, a true Boaz, a man after Your own heart who loves You first and will love her as Christ loves the church, if it is Your will, and that You would prepare them both for a holy marriage that honors You, keeping their courtship pure and Christ centered. Until then help her to delight herself in You and to find joy and community in Your family, the church, so she is not alone. We pray for provision and peace over her finances, her online needs, her family and her pets, and that no weapon formed against her would prosper. We bless those who have hurt her and ask You to remove bitterness and bring forgiveness. We declare that she is the head and not the tail as she walks in obedience to You, not by striving but by abiding in Christ. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
