We join together with you in prayer in Jesus' name and we hear your deep desire to see Deut 28:13 become real in your life, that Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail, and you will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God.

We want to gently correct and encourage you in love about how we approach Scripture. The Bible is not a formula to loosen or speak into existence as if our words have power to force God to act. Rather, Deut 28:1 and Deut 28:13 were part of the covenant blessings promised to Israel for obedience to God's law, and the whole counsel of Scripture shows us that true blessing comes through faith and obedience to Christ, not through repeating a verse as an incantation. We do not command verses, we submit to the Lord and trust His sovereign will. As Josh 1:8 reminds us, we are to meditate on His word and observe to do according to all that is written, and God in His mercy will make our way prosperous according to His perfect will. Our identity as the head and not the tail is ultimately found in being in Christ and walking in obedience to Him.

We also hear your desire to change your name, to move far from California, to keep your beloved cats, and to find a secret place to live urgently under the blood of Jesus. We affirm that the blood of Jesus is precious, for without it there is no forgiveness or access to the Father, and we are grateful you invoked His name, for it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as Acts 4:12 teaches there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

We want to encourage you to bring your plans for moving and for a name change before the Lord with honesty and integrity. Changing your name and relocating are not wrong in themselves, but we must do all things lawfully and truthfully, for Rom 13:1 tells us to be subject to governing authorities, and Col 3:9 calls us to not lie to one another. If your desire for secrecy comes from fear, hurt, or a need for safety, we understand that burden, yet we encourage you not to live from fear but to trust the Lord as your refuge. Ps 32:7 says you are a hiding place for us, and 2 Tim 1:7 reminds us God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We encourage you to seek godly counsel and to make your plans in submission to God's will, as James 4:15 says if the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that, rather than insisting on our own urgent timeline.

We also rejoice that you care for your cats, for Prov 12:10 says a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and God cares for all His creation. We trust He sees your love for them and your desire to provide a stable life where you can live a life you love that honors Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, covered by His blood. We lift up this dear one to You and ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus according to Phil 4:6-7. Lord, reveal Yourself as their true Head, and help them to walk in obedience and humility before You, seeking first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness as Matt 6:33 teaches, trusting that all that is needed will be added according to Your will. Grant wisdom regarding a name change, that it would be done with pure motives and in obedience to the law, and help them to remember their truest identity is as a new creation in Christ as 2 Cor 5:17 declares. Direct their steps regarding leaving California, open the doors that no man can shut if it is Your will, and close them if it is not, provide financially and logistically according to Phil 4:19, and provide a safe, peaceful home where they and their cats can dwell securely. Deliver them from anxiety and the need to hide in secret from fear, and be their strong tower and refuge. Help them to live a life they love that is centered on loving You and serving You, and let them know that You work all things together for good for those who love You according to Rom 8:28. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear how heavy this feels and how urgently you want a new beginning outside ###, with your name changed and your cats safely with you. Wanting a life you love and a place where you can breathe is understandable, and we hear how much your cats mean to you in that picture.

We also hear you holding onto the promise that you are made to live with dignity and purpose as the head and not the tail. God does see you and cares about both the big move and the daily details.

When everything feels urgent and needs to happen in secret, it can help to slow just enough to make a steady plan with someone you trust. One practical step that often helps is to write down what a safe move would actually require: costs, housing options where your cats are welcome, the legal process for a name change in your new state, and who could walk with you through each part. Talking it through with a trusted pastor, counselor, or legal aid clinic can bring clarity and keep you from having to carry this alone.

Father, we lift them to You in Jesus' name. Provide wisdom for each decision, open a safe and stable place to live, and guard them and their cats. Give peace where there is pressure and clear next steps where there is urgency. Lead them in Your will and let them know Your nearness each day. Amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. There is a great longing expressed in your words for a new life, a new place, and a new beginning, and that desire for peace and stability is understood before the Lord. Yet the Word of God is not a charm to be loosened into existence by repeating syllables, nor is the precious blood of Jesus a formula to secure our own plans in secret. Scripture is holy truth to be believed, obeyed, and lived, and the blood of Christ was shed to make atonement for sin and to reconcile us to God, not to serve as an incantation for our wishes.

The verse you cite, Deuteronomy 28:13, that you shall be the head and not the tail, was spoken within the covenant blessing upon obedience to the Lord's commandments, and its fulfillment is found not in the power of repetition but in a heart made obedient by grace. What you need, as we all need, is not merely a new name written by man, nor only a new location far away, but a new heart altogether. As the prophet declares, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. When God puts a new heart into a man, He makes him a new creature in Christ Jesus, and from that new life flow new desires, new ways, and new hopes. He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new, and that making new begins within.

God does promise to keep His people in all their ways, and to give His angels charge over them, but that keeping is in His appointed ways, in the path of trust, obedience, and wisdom, not in presumptuous or hidden ways devised without counsel. If you are burdened about where to live and how to be provided for, with care also for the creatures entrusted to you, bring these matters plainly to the Lord in humble prayer, seeking His will above your own, and seek also the wise counsel of faithful believers near you who can help you consider what is prudent and right.

We pray for you now that the Lord would grant you a new heart through faith in Jesus Christ alone, who is the only way of salvation, that He would give you light to understand His Word rightly, that He would calm your urgent fears and grant you peace, that He would in His providence provide a safe dwelling and daily provision according to His wisdom, and that He would guide your steps not into secrecy and haste but into the clear path of His will. May you run the way of His commandments as He enlarges your heart, and may you find that to be kept by Him is better than any plan we make for ourselves.
