We join you in bringing these deep desires for provision, stability, favor and peace before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for anchoring your hope in the blood of Jesus. We hear your heart crying out for accuracy in your mind and hearing and sight, for financial breakthrough, for security for your family and your pets, for a good job with the right hours, for a raise, for a home where you can live comfortably and safely, and for God's favor to rest upon all you do.

We want to gently encourage you in how we understand Deuteronomy 28:13. The verse says Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail, and you will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God which he commands you today, to observe and to do them. This is a precious promise, but it is given in the context of obedience and walking in God's ways, not as a formula or incantation to speak things into existence a hundred fold on demand. Our words matter, but God is sovereign and loving and He answers according to His perfect will and wisdom, not because we repeat a phrase greatly or urgently. We are called to trust His goodness and timing even as we ask boldly.

We also rejoice that you mentioned the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To have favor with God begins with belonging to Him through faith in Jesus Christ, repenting of sin and following Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one and their family and even their beloved pets to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know every need, every trailer payment, every hope for a rent to own home, every desire for work that provides and for a safe room with a door that locks. You know the longing for accuracy and clear thinking and good hearing and sight at work and in daily life. We ask that You would grant wisdom and clarity, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Let their mind be renewed and kept in Your peace.

Lord, we ask for Your provision according to Your riches. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We pray for open doors for employment, for that part time position at the favored store if it is Your will, for the right number of hours between twelve and thirty that would best sustain this family, and for favor with employers and coworkers. We pray that whatever they do, they would work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23, with diligence and integrity in breaks and in all duties, and that You would establish the work of their hands Psalm 90:17. If it is Your will, grant increase and a raise and stability to afford monthly obligations.

Father, we pray for housing. You see the need for a permanent, insulated, safe place to live where the family can dwell in peace and comfort. We ask for Your miraculous provision, but above all we pray seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. Provide what is best in Your timing, and help them to be good stewards of whatever You entrust to them. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3.

Lord, we pray for protection over their home and belongings, over locks and keys and even an electric bike, and over their going out and coming in. Keep them in Your care and let their extra favor be not a chant but Your grace resting on an obedient and humble heart. Teach them to delight in You first, for You have promised delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4 when our desires are aligned with Yours.

We ask that You would deepen their faith to trust not in the power of spoken declarations but in the power of Your living Word and Your loving character, knowing that You hear and answer for our good and Your glory. Let them walk as the head and not the tail by walking closely with You in obedience, humility and gratitude.

We thank You that You are a Father who cares for every detail, even for the sparrows and for the pets You have given us to steward. We trust You to lead this family into a life they love that is centered on loving You and serving others. Let Your will be done in every area, spiritual and physical, now and permanently as they abide in Christ.

The longing expressed in your many words has been heard, and it reveals a heart that desires provision, stability and peace for yourself and for your family and even for the creatures entrusted to your care. Such cares are not small before the Lord, for He knows your need of daily bread, of honest work, of a roof over your head and of strength to do your duties with accuracy and faithfulness.

Yet it is needful to speak the truth in love concerning the way in which blessing is sought. The Scripture you have quoted, that you shall be the head and not the tail, was given within the covenant with Israel, and its true fulfillment is found not in the power of our own words, but in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We do not create reality by speaking phrases into existence, nor do we loosen verses as though they were charms. Remember that the power to save and to provide does not lie in the person who speaks, it lies wholly in Jesus Himself. Our Lord did nothing but speak, and the miracle was accomplished, because the authority dwelt in His word, not in ours. To imagine that by repeating greatly and urgently we can compel Heaven is to misunderstand both prayer and providence.

True favor is not found in an incantation, but in being found in Christ, in whom every spiritual blessing is already secured. Before there was any need, there was an arrangement for cleansing and provision in Him. The blood of Jesus is not a formula to secure punctual breaks or to keep a walkie in order, it is the precious atonement by which sinners are reconciled to God, and through that reconciliation we are invited to bring every small care to our Father with humble trust.

What then shall we do with such pressing needs as yours. We are to consider the Lord as He has shown Himself in His miracles. Christ is grand in emergencies, and none who have trusted His provision have found Him to be a poor supply. He can work the mighty miracle of mercy more swiftly than we can speak of it, yet He would have us ask in faith, in submission to His perfect will, and in diligence of hands.

Therefore we will pray for you not as one demanding a hundredfold by the force of words, but as one asking a gracious Father to do what is best.

Our Father in Heaven, we bring before You this soul and this household. You know the need for work, for sufficient hours, for a wage that meets the payment for the trailer and for daily provision. We ask that You would in Your wisdom open a door for honest employment, whether at the store that has been applied to or elsewhere as You see fit, and that You would grant favor with employers not for boasting, but for testimony to Your goodness. Grant diligence and accuracy in all duties, in the keeping of time, in the stewardship of keys and locks, in the hearing and answering of duties, that this worker may be found faithful in little things and may adorn the doctrine of Christ by honest labour.

We ask for a suitable dwelling, a home where the family may live in peace and safety and quietness, with needful privacy and provision. If it be Your will, provide a rent to own home or other shelter that is within means and is a place of rest. You know the need for transportation and for security of what has been entrusted. Provide what is truly needful, and teach contentment and gratitude in whatever state You ordain.

Above all, we pray that this heart may find its headship not in worldly exaltation, but in union with Christ the Head of His people, and may know that to be highly favored is to be forgiven, freed and kept by His grace. Let faith rest not in repeated phrases, but in the sure Word of the Lord which cannot fail. Teach trust that You work all things for good to those who love You, and that even mistakes and trials may be overruled by Your mercy.

Grant peace to this family, guard their going out and coming in, and let them know the comfort that comes from seeing Christ's power revealed not in our speaking, but in His. May there be a quiet confidence that if every need were banished at once it would indeed be a miracle, and that the same Lord who fed the multitude is able to supply all need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We ask this not because our words have power, but because Jesus has all power, and we plead His name alone. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and brought before the Lord with care, and I thank you for sharing so openly the many burdens and hopes on your heart for work, for home, for family and even for your pets and daily needs.

I want to speak to you gently and truthfully about the way you are using the words of Deuteronomy 28:13. That promise, that you will be the head and not the tail, was given to Israel under the old covenant as they lived in obedience to the law, and it points us forward to the greater blessing we have in Christ. It is not a formula to be repeated to make things happen, nor do our repeated words create reality. God is not moved by the number of times we say greatly or urgently, but by His own mercy and wisdom, and He hears us because we come through Jesus Christ alone, who is our only way to the Father. To loosen a verse as an incantation is not how Scripture teaches us to pray. Instead we are taught to ask, seek, and knock with humility, trusting that our Father knows what we need before we ask and will give what is best.

I also hear your deep desire for favor, for accuracy in your mind and hearing and sight, for provision in finances, for a steady job with the right hours, for a home where your family can live in peace and safety with a door that locks and a room of your own. These are not small things, and it is right to bring them to God. He cares for all our needs, and He calls us to be faithful in the small duties He has already given. You mentioned breaks at work and the alarm on your phone and listening for the walkie. To be exact and honest in those moments, to work heartily as unto the Lord and not merely to be seen by others, is itself a way of honoring God. As I have taught before, we are to make provision for the flesh for health and for necessity, not to kindle wantonness or endless desire. To seek only what is needful, to be content with what God provides, and to spend our greater energy on spiritual things, this keeps the soul awake. For this present life can be like a sleep where dreams of wealth and status seem very real, but only what is done in Christ remains.

So I will pray for you not for a hundredfold increase by the power of words, but for what Scripture calls true prosperity, which is to be found in Christ, in a clear conscience, in faithful work, and in contentment with daily bread.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this Your child. Grant clarity of mind, soundness of hearing and sight, and steadiness in daily work. Provide for the needs of this family according to Your wisdom, for work that is honest and sufficient, for hours that allow care for family and home, for a dwelling that is safe and affordable, and for the means to meet obligations with integrity. Teach contentment and diligence, and guard this heart from trusting in formulas or in many words, but to trust in You alone. If there is a spouse in this household, strengthen that union to reflect Your design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, lived in faithfulness and purity. Keep all in this household, and the pets entrusted to their care, under Your kindness. Lead into a deeper knowledge of Your grace through Jesus, who alone saves, and shape every desire to want what You want. Give peace, patience while waiting, and faith to do the next good work set before You today. Amen.

Continue to pray simply and steadily, to work faithfully where you are, to be honest in all things small and great, and to seek first the kingdom of God. He will not forget you, and what He provides, even if it is not what you first imagined, will be for your good.
