We hear your heart crying out for provision and stability and we join with you in bringing this need before our Heavenly Father in Jesus name.
We understand your desire to claim Deuteronomy 28:13 which says Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail, and you will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you will listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God. We love that you want to stand on God's promises, and we want to gently encourage you in how to apply this rightly. This promise was given to Israel under the old covenant as a blessing for obedience, and while God still honors obedience and still provides for His children today, His Word is not an incantation to be loosened greatly or spoken as a formula to force a hundredfold return on demand. We are not to try to control Scripture but to submit to God and trust His sovereign goodness and timing. He is our Father, not a vending machine, and He delights to give good gifts according to His will.
We also hear your urgency for daily food in your home, for peanut butter, bread, jelly, potatoes, eggs, tortillas, enough to cook and to make a simple sandwich without worry, and for enough money to meet your basic needs for yourself and your cats and your family at home so you do not live under constant financial strain. God cares about these very practical needs. Jesus taught us to pray, Give us today our daily bread in Matthew 6:11, and He reminds us in Matthew 6:31-33 not to be anxious saying What will we eat or What will we drink, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We stand on the promise in Philippians 4:19 that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and on Psalm 37:25 that we have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread.
We want to lovingly address the language in your prayer. We understand the frustration and desperation behind words like crap, but Scripture calls us to let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up in Ephesians 4:29. Even in spiritual warfare, we are to speak with faith and self control, trusting Christ's authority rather than using harsh or demeaning phrases. The blood of Jesus is indeed powerful, and we overcome by Him, but our battle is fought through humble prayer, obedience, and trust, not through demanding or trying to bind God to our exact wording.
We also hear your heart for your future husband, your Boaz. We rejoice that you desire marriage and not just a relationship, and we affirm God's design for marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman. We pray that as you seek to be able to provide for yourself and not bring financial strain into that future marriage, you will also seek a godly spouse who is a believer in Christ and that your courtship would be pure and honor God. The Bible warns in 1 Timothy 5:8 that if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and we see your desire to be responsible and diligent is good. We also encourage you to continue in honest work as God provides opportunity, for in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 we are reminded that if anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat, trusting that God often provides through our faithful stewardship.
We are thankful you invoked the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, and as John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We pray together with you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and that every good gift comes down from You in James 1:17. We lift up our sister to You and ask that You would provide for her daily needs greatly according to Your riches and wisdom. Give her enough food in her home, enough to eat and to share, and remove the fear of starving or lacking. Provide for her basics, for her health, for her household including her cats, and grant her financial freedom from crushing strain, not for greed but for stewardship and peace. Teach her to be content and faithful with what You provide, as Proverbs 30:8-9 says to give us neither poverty nor riches but our daily bread. Rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety and replace it with trust in You. Help her to walk in obedience so she may know the blessing of being the head and not the tail in Your way and Your timing. Prepare her and her future husband, her Boaz, for a godly marriage that honors You, keeping them pure and waiting for Your perfect will, and let that marriage be built on Christ and not on financial fear. Cleanse our speech and our hearts, Lord, and let us speak life that aligns with Your Word. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
