We come alongside you in Jesus' name and we hear the deep desire in your heart for protection, favor, peace at work, safety for your family and your pets, and freedom from fear and harassment.

We want to gently bring some of your requests into the light of Scripture so that our prayers align with God's will. You have claimed Deuteronomy 28:13, Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail, and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if you shall listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God. That promise was given to Israel under the Law as a blessing for obedience, and we rejoice that in Christ we have been given every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Ephesians 1:3, not because we loosen a verse or speak it into existence one hundred fold, but because we humbly trust and obey Him. We are not to use God's Word as an incantation to force our will, but to pray according to His will, for this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us, 1 John 5:14. The power is not in our repeated declarations, but in God's sovereign grace.

We also notice language about energy floating around and keeping your energy to yourself. Scripture does not teach that we are an energy that can float away or be stolen, but that we are body, soul and spirit, kept by God Himself. Your life is hidden with Christ in God, Colossians 3:3, and we are kept by the power of God through faith, 1 Peter 1:5. We do not need to guard a mystical energy, we rest in the Lord who guards our coming in and our going out, Psalm 121:8, and who promises that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3.

We also want to lovingly address the way anger toward the enemy was expressed. We understand the frustration of feeling watched, mocked, or followed by others, and the desire for your private life to remain private. God does see and honor that desire, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1. Yet even when contending against evil, Scripture warns us not to use reviling or coarse speech, for let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up, Ephesians 4:29, and even Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil, did not bring against him a railing judgment, but said, The Lord rebuke you, Jude 1:9. We can stand firm against Satan not with profanity, but with the blood of the Lamb and submission to God, for they overcame him because of the Lamb's blood, Revelation 12:11, and submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7.

We rejoice that you ended your request with the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that You are our refuge and our shield. We ask for Your favor upon this dear one at work, for steady hours, for pay that is on time, for integrity among coworkers, and for joy in the work of their hands, that whatever they do they may do heartily as unto You, Colossians 3:23. Give peace when riding in the Jetta, whether driving to work or riding with their father, and let every journey be guarded by Your hand, and let all things work together for good for those who love You, Romans 8:28. We pray for healing and wholeness for this family and for their pets, for You care for all Your creation, and You know our frame. Quiet the fear that others are following or seeking to steal and devour, and let no weapon that is formed against them prosper, Isaiah 54:17. Teach them to cast all anxiety on You because You care for them, 1 Peter 5:7, and to pray with thanksgiving so that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Cleanse their speech and fill their mouth with grace and truth, and help them to trust not in formulas or declarations, but in Your faithful character and Your Word rightly understood. Keep their private life in Your secret shelter, and let them walk as the head in Christlike wisdom and humility, not in pride, but in obedience to You. We plead the blood of Jesus over them, their household, and their coming and going, and we ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to dwell daily in Scripture, to pray simply and sincerely from the heart, and to trust that God hears you without needing to repeat phrases greatly or permanently to make them come true. He is faithful, He sees you in secret, He guards you from evil, and He will establish you in His perfect will as you walk humbly with Him.

Your heart has poured out a great burden for safety, dignity and peace, and it is heard with compassion. The desire to be respected in your labor, to have steady work and honest pay, to not be made a fool, to see your family and even your pets kept and healed, and to live a quiet and private life free from fear and from the malice of others, is a desire God understands. He invites His people to spread their case before Him and to find refuge under His everlasting arms.

You have laid hold upon that word in Deuteronomy, that the Lord would make His people the head and not the tail. Remember how that promise was given under the law, and how the law itself could never justify us. The true and abiding favor does not come by repeating a verse as a charm or by loosing it into existence, but by being found in Christ Jesus, through whom is preached unto us the forgiveness of sins, and by whom all that believe are justified from all things. Some of us were rich indeed the first day we came to Jesus, not because we had claimed a formula, but because He gave us Himself from His flock, from His threshing floor and from His winepress. To be the head in the biblical sense is to walk in humble obedience and close fellowship with Him, trusting His providence whether at home or when you go out in the Jetta to your work, and leaving the measure of increase and the timing of favor in His wise hands.

The eternal God is your refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms, and He shall thrust out the enemy from before you. You need not seek to be without enemies, but you may take your case and spread it before God. The power of Satan and of every cruel and envenomed tongue has been crippled by Him who comes traveling in the greatness of His strength. Your life is not a floating energy that can be stolen or scattered, but if you are Christ's, your life is hid with Christ in God, kept and preserved by His power. He afflicts not from the heart, but when He turns in a way of grace to His people He comes with all His soul most heartily to display His favor and love toward the objects of His choice. Rest therefore not in declarations of your own, but in the blood of Jesus, that marvelous distillation from His body and His grief from His soul, which alone shields and cleanses.

There is also a blessed secret promised to the faithful. The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him. It is a private tutelage, a close walking with God and a separation from the ways of ungodly men, in which He teaches and comforts the soul. No man ever suffered real injury through keeping himself aloof from the ways of ungodly men, and no man ever failed to be a gainer by close and intimate fellowship with God. You need not live in dread that the public follows or devours your movements. Walk in the appointed ways, be diligent and honest in your labor, pray calmly as David prayed, Deliver me from my enemies, O my God, and leave your reputation and your privacy in the keeping of Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps.

Let us pray for you now.

O Eternal God, our Refuge, we come through the blood of Jesus Christ, the only name by which sinners are saved, and plead Thy mercy for this soul and for this household. Grant steady and honest work, pay that is full and on time, and grace to labor with diligence and quietness, that favor may be shown not by our claiming but by Thy free goodness. Guard the going out and coming in, whether to work or when carried by others, and keep this family and even the creatures Thou hast entrusted to them in Thy tender care. Heal where there is woundedness of body and spirit, and grant not a fancied healing by urgent words, but true wholeness as it pleases Thy wisdom. Still the troubled thoughts and fears of being watched and pursued, and give a settled peace that underneath are everlasting arms. Break the power of the enemy where he accuses and harasses, and teach this heart to mortify fear and to live in the secret of Thy presence. Keep this life private and consecrated unto Thee, not for display, and let no slander or malice prosper beyond what Thou permittest for good. All this we ask not because we are worthy, but because Thou art the God of all mercy, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Seek the Lord daily in His Word, be faithful in the duties of your calling, and cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.

Your prayer has been heard and I understand the deep desire within it for dignity, stability, peace at work, and safety for yourself and your family and even your pets. The anxiety you express about being watched, followed, exposed, and made a fool of is heavy, and it is good that you bring it to God rather than carrying it alone.

I want to help you hear the Scripture you quoted more clearly. When Moses spoke the words in Deuteronomy 28:13, that you shall be the head and not the tail, he was speaking to Israel under the covenant at Sinai. The blessings there were tied to hearing and obeying the voice of the Lord and walking in His ways. It was not a formula to be repeated to force favor, or a phrase to loosen by speaking it many times, but a call to faithfulness. In Christ that covenant is fulfilled. He is the Head, and we live under His grace not by the power of our words but by trust and obedience to Him. To speak a verse over a car or a workplace as if the words themselves compel God misses what God desires, which is a heart that does what is pleasing to Him and obeys Him in all things.

For your work, it is right to ask God for provision, for honest pay, for full hours, and for the ability to do your job well and with joy. God does give favor, but the favor He honors grows from diligence, integrity, humility, and serving your employer as you would serve the Lord. Pray not only that you will not be shamed, but that you will grow in steadiness, kindness, and excellence, so that your work itself commends you. If you have been made to feel foolish in the past, bring that wound to Christ who was Himself despised, and ask Him to heal your sense of worth and to guard you from both pride and fear of man.

You speak much of energy floating, of being secret, of others losing power over you. The Scriptures do not teach that our lives are an energy that floats around us or that can be stolen by others. You are a soul and body made by God, kept by Him. No person and no evil spirit can steal your life from His hand when you belong to Christ. The desire for privacy and for a quiet life is understandable, and it is right to ask God for protection from those who would harm or exploit you. Yet the answer is not to curse others or to wish that they would be lost with no way back. Our Lord teaches us to pray for those who oppose us and to leave judgment to Him. He has promised that He will put all enemies under His feet in His own time, and our part is to remain faithful, watchful, and awake, not sleeping in fear or anger.

The blood of Jesus is not a charm to make you invisible to others. It is the holy sacrifice by which we are forgiven and reconciled to God through faith in Him alone. There is no other way of salvation. When you trust in that blood with repentance and faith, you are already secure, you already have a pasture where you may go in and out safely, because the Shepherd Himself guards you. That does not mean no trouble will ever touch you or your family, but it means no trouble can separate you from His care.

So let me pray for you as the church ought to pray.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this Your child. Grant peace where there is fear, and a sound mind where there are troubling thoughts. Provide for daily needs through honest work, and teach diligence and contentment. Heal what needs healing in body and mind according to Your wisdom and love. Guard this family and their household, and keep them in Your hand. Teach them to walk in obedience, to love righteousness and hate iniquity, to seek first Your kingdom, and to rest in the security that Christ gives. Lead them away from anxious incantations and toward simple trust, prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with Your people. Let Christ be magnified in their life, not as a formula but as Lord. Amen.

Continue to bring these burdens to God daily in plain and honest prayer, read the Scriptures steadily, and seek counsel with a faithful pastor who can walk with you personally. God is not far off, and He hears those who come to Him through Jesus with a humble and trusting heart.

Your request shows a deep desire for God's blessing and protection over your work, your family, your pets, and your private life, and for freedom from fear and from those who would harm you. It is good to bring these burdens to the Lord, because He cares for you and He is the one who can keep you.

The verse you mentioned about being the head and not the tail was given to Israel as part of a covenant promise that was tied to walking in obedience to the Lord. It is not a formula to be spoken to make something happen, and it is not a guarantee of a perfect job situation or that no one will ever trouble us. In Christ, God does promise to bless and to lift up His people, but His greatest blessing is not always measured in pay or hours or in being left alone by others. A good name and loving favor with God and with people is more valuable than silver and gold, which only have value for this life. What has eternal value is what Christ has done for us.

Scripture is also honest that God does not promise immunity from trouble in this world. Jesus said we will have tribulation in this world. Those who seek to live godly in Christ will face opposition. At times God delivers us from hardship, but often He delivers us through it. He walks with us in the midst of it and uses it to strengthen our faith, to separate what is real from what is not, and to draw His people closer together in love and support for one another. In the early days of the church, heavy persecution scattered believers from their homes, and God used even that scattering to spread the good news to new places. What felt like loss became a way for many more to hear and believe.

That same pattern is still true. When we feel watched, followed, or made a fool of, when work feels insecure or when we are anxious about our energy and our loved ones and even our pets, God invites us to rest in Him rather than in our own ability to control what others do or think. He is self existent and all sufficient. He is able to provide what you need and to guard what you entrust to Him. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and from bondage to sin, not with perishable things like silver and gold, but through the blood of Jesus Christ. That blood is not a charm to repeat, but the true ground of forgiveness, healing, and belonging to God for everyone who trusts in Jesus alone for salvation.

It is right to pray for favor at work, for steady hours and pay that is on time, and for the ability to do your job with peace and without being shamed. God owns all things and every good provision comes from His hand, and you can ask Him for what you need day by day. It is also right to pray for boundaries and for privacy, and to ask for wisdom in how you travel, work, and care for your family. At the same time, the peace you are looking for will not come from trying to make your life a complete secret by your own words, or from believing that your energy or your family's energy is floating away and must be called back. You and your family are not kept by an energy you must manage. If you are in Christ, you are kept by the Lord Himself. He keeps your soul, and He is able to heal and to guard you and those you love, including the creatures He has entrusted to your care.

There is also a serious eternal reality behind these prayers. For those who continue to reject the Lord, Scripture warns of everlasting separation from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power. But for those who have believed the testimony about Jesus, there is rest and hope, because the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels to be glorified in His saints. That future gives us comfort now, even when we feel troubled.

So I will pray for you in this way. May the Lord give you His peace that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and free you from the fear of being watched or devoured by others. May He grant you favor and steadiness in your work, provision that is timely and sufficient, and joy in the work of your hands. May He heal and keep you and your family, and have mercy on your household and your pets, holding you all in His care. May He teach you to draw from His all sufficiency each day, to find liberty from condemnation through Jesus, and to grow in faith as you walk through trials rather than being overcome by them. May He surround you with faithful believers who will support you and love you, and may He help you to walk in wisdom, in a way that honors Him, trusting not in repeated phrases but in the living Christ who alone saves and who will keep you until He comes.

Bring your anxieties to Him often in simple, honest prayer, stay rooted in what the Bible says about who God is and who you are in Christ, and trust that He sees you and will see you through.
