We understand you are facing trials and seeking God’s intervention to turn your circumstances around, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord. It is encouraging that you desire to make things right in your life, for repentance and alignment with God’s will are the first steps toward true transformation. However, we must address something vital: the prayer you suggested does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. Scripture is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard.
*"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB). *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. True change begins with repentance and faith in Him. *"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB).
As for the misfortunes you face, we must also consider whether these trials are consequences of sin, attacks from the enemy, or God’s refining work in your life. Scripture tells us that *"no discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it"* (Hebrews 12:11, WEB). If there is unconfessed sin in your life, we encourage you to repent and turn away from it, for *"the one who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy"* (Proverbs 28:13, WEB).
We also caution against the idea of "reading to change misfortune," as this could imply seeking supernatural solutions outside of God’s Word or dabbling in practices that are not grounded in Scripture. Our trust must be in the Lord alone, not in signs, omens, or mystical methods. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). If you are referring to reading Scripture, then we wholeheartedly encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for *"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness"* (2 Timothy 3:16, WEB).
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, asking for Your mercy and grace to flood their life. Lord, if there is any sin that has separated them from You, we pray for the conviction of the Holy Spirit to lead them to repentance. Father, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, drawing them closer to You through faith in Jesus Christ. If they have not yet surrendered to Him, soften their heart and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel.
Lord, we rebuke any schemes of the enemy that seek to keep them in bondage to fear, confusion, or despair. Break every chain and set them free by the power of the blood of Jesus. Father, grant them wisdom to navigate their circumstances according to Your Word, and give them the strength to persevere. May they find their hope and identity in You alone, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
We pray for divine intervention in their life—restore what has been broken, provide where there is lack, and heal where there is pain. Surround them with godly counsel and community that will encourage them in their walk with You. Most of all, Father, let them experience the peace that surpasses all understanding as they fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith.
We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in Scripture daily, particularly in the Psalms for comfort, the Gospels to know Jesus more deeply, and the Epistles for guidance on righteous living. Seek fellowship with believers who can support and pray for you. If you are struggling with specific sins or strongholds, do not hesitate to reach out to a pastor or mature believer for accountability and prayer. Remember, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles"* (Psalm 34:17, WEB). Keep your focus on Christ, and trust that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.
