We must address this with the utmost urgency and clarity, for what you have shared is deeply troubling and does not align with the truth of God’s Word. The voice you heard was not from the Lord, for God is the author of life, and He calls us to trust in His sovereignty, not to take our lives into our own hands. The enemy seeks to deceive and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Physician-assisted suicide is a direct contradiction to the sanctity of life that God has established. Your life is precious to Him, and He has a purpose for you that far outweighs the struggles you are facing.
Scripture is clear that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are not our own (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). To intentionally end the life God has given is to reject His authority and His plan for redemption. The Lord does not call us to escape our suffering through death but to endure with faith, trusting that He will use even our hardest moments for His glory. Consider the words of Jesus in Matthew 26:39, when He prayed in Gethsemane, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.” Even in His deepest anguish, Jesus submitted to the Father’s will—not His own.
We also must address the absence of the name of Jesus in your words. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. Confess your sins, turn from them, and believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins (Romans 10:9-10). Without Christ, there is no hope, no true peace, and no eternal life.
We rebuke the lie that has taken root in your heart—the lie that ending your life is part of God’s plan. It is not. Satan is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44), and he seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. But Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and His power is greater than any despair you are facing. Turn to Him now, and let Him be your strength.
Let us pray for you with fervency and love:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious soul who has been deceived by the enemy’s lies. Lord, we ask that You break every stronghold of darkness and confusion that has taken hold. Open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and the hope that is found only in Christ. Father, we rebuke the spirit of death and despair that has whispered destruction into their heart. Replace it with Your Spirit of life, peace, and purpose.
Lord, we ask that You surround them with godly counsel—believers who will speak Your truth in love and walk alongside them in this time of need. Remove any influence or voice that does not align with Your will. Fill them with the assurance that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let them know that their life has value and meaning in You, and that You are not finished writing their story.
We pray for divine intervention in their circumstances. If they are suffering physically, emotionally, or spiritually, Lord, we ask for Your healing touch. If they are overwhelmed by pain, we ask for Your comfort that surpasses all understanding. If they feel alone, remind them that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6).
Father, if they have not yet surrendered to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Soften their heart to receive Your grace, and let them turn from sin and toward the cross. May they find their identity in Christ and their strength in His resurrection power.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the plans You have for them are plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
